Weird, because about 3 or 4 years earlier, Mike Douglas had Muhammad Ali on his show and he talked about talking to Elvis Presley on the phone. And Elvis I believe visiting Ali in Deer Lake, his boxing training camp. And Elvis wouldn’t commit to coming on the show, referred Mike to the Colonel, but wanted to say how much of a fan he was of Muhammad Ali, to Mike. Ali, to his credit, didn’t want to go into it, what he talked about with Elvis, but nodded when Mike said Elvis was quite the man, being mindful that Elvis might be watching along. But Ali, rare for him, beamed from pride as a fan would do, when Elvis came up as a subject. Ali was a class act too, towards Elvis. Always talked good about him, also after Elvis died. Visited his grave, showed off the robe Elvis gifted him in 1973 in Vegas, before the first fight with Joe Bugner. Also, set the record straight about how highly he thought about Elvis as a man and entertainer, before a crowd of Elvis fans, I believe in Memphis ? It’s on UA-cam, from the early 80’s I guess.

Ginger Alden was the only one who didn't exploit Elvis' image. June Juanico was also a very honest woman. Elvis loved these two women very much because they are aristocrats. The worst was Linda Thompson, no matter how many flaws Priscilla may have, Linda is the one who behaved the worst towards Lisa Marie. Joe Esposito told my friend that Elvis wanted to push Linda away because he understood that she was pretending to love Lisa to stay attached to him. Unfortunately Lisa Marie was too fragile to understand and had become attached to Linda but when Elvis died Linda had taken revenge on Elvis who preferred Ginger and made some serious accusations in a film not caring about the poor little girl's feelings.

So Louis another comment there’s a couple things I can’t figure out with Elvis Presley one thing I can’t figure out why he took it so hard with Priscilla I mean once he knew he was seeing Lisa it should’ve been over with, but it wasn’t. He took it very hard I can’t figure out why, I mean they couldn’t be together physically because what she did to him so why why did he take it so hard was it because no matter what he did she would be there it’s a shame he didn’t get the right his own book like he wanted to because that one really puzzles me
@@nancysimmons2225 Elvis tuck it so hard cos he was a proud man it's long after having Lisa Marie she was with a dancer he wanted his child to have a happy family not cos he loved her she was the mother of his child there will be more reasons anyone will never know.
I think not having Lisa Marie in the home was what hit Elvis so hard. Also I’m beginning to think he took responsibility and married her and wanted to make the best of it but must have realized she duped him. Plus she humiliated him by choosing someone he respected in a sport he was obsessed with. Elvis had too much class and she took advantage of his insecurity and vulnerability as a wealthy famous man
I feel that every one that knew Elvis, once he past. The books started to come out . Linda, might had been nice at first , but then when that movie came out. About her,& Elvis. She didn't painted a very good picture of him. He had just got divorced, didn't which to be marry before. Much less now after the divorce. Linda, kept pushing for marriage. That's why that relationship ended.
I’m With you. I read her book and was shocked. Just like Priscilla why stay with the man if he was so bad as she said in her book. And she cheated with a member of his band right under his nose. She like so many took terrible advantage of Elvis.
Yes I agree Linda was being nice. It started when Goulet said something like I'll take care of your girlfriend when you're in the army.Marty Lacker told the story.
She had no problem exploiting Elvis’s problems in her book written nearly 40 years after his death when she like-so many had a better understanding of the problems Elvis had. That poor man was used by so many.

He is the ONLY PERSON who has seen Elvis medical files from Birth to death. PRISCILLA & LISA BOTH HAVE NEVER SEEN ELVIS' MEDICAL FILES.
Great comment Thankyou
Really GA omg. She had to be told to return credit card same as LT and her and the family tried to sue the estate as did LT. Get the whole story
@@sharonbolinger no problem spending Elvis money and exploiting his memory. So many used him.
Happy Christmas - Thanks for your comment
So true. Elvis was a target for so many opportunists of the worse kind
So Louis another comment there’s a couple things I can’t figure out with Elvis Presley one thing I can’t figure out why he took it so hard with Priscilla I mean once he knew he was seeing Lisa it should’ve been over with, but it wasn’t. He took it very hard I can’t figure out why, I mean they couldn’t be together physically because what she did to him so why why did he take it so hard was it because no matter what he did she would be there it’s a shame he didn’t get the right his own book like he wanted to because that one really puzzles me
Good question and yes that would have been great Nsncy
What did she do to him? Was he still seeing Priscilla when he was with Lisa?
@@nancysimmons2225 Elvis tuck it so hard cos he was a proud man it's long after having Lisa Marie she was with a dancer he wanted his child to have a happy family not cos he loved her she was the mother of his child there will be more reasons anyone will never know.
I think not having Lisa Marie in the home was what hit Elvis so hard. Also I’m beginning to think he took responsibility and married her and wanted to make the best of it but must have realized she duped him. Plus she humiliated him by choosing someone he respected in a sport he was obsessed with. Elvis had too much class and she took advantage of his insecurity and vulnerability as a wealthy famous man
Elvis Presley 🙂
Douglas it's none of your damn business.
Thanks Gina Merry Xmas
I’m With you. I read her book and was shocked. Just like Priscilla why stay with the man if he was so bad as she said in her book. And she cheated with a member of his band right under his nose. She like so many took terrible advantage of Elvis.
Goulet looks nervous 😂
Elvis didn't like Robert,I had to laugh at that. Read the book are you lonesome tonight about Elvis and Lucy, and there's a Robert Goulet connection.
He has to asks the hard questions!
I think Linda is great!
Me to
Is that Robert Goulet?
Think so
@@SarahAngell-w7z Mike Douglas, had a popular talk show host.

Morning live now
She was unselfish
Tommy Sands looks like Ann Margret in male😊
Live now
Yes I agree Linda was being nice. It started when Goulet said something like I'll take care of your girlfriend when you're in the army.Marty Lacker told the story.
Thanks Randy Happy Xmas
Well, she is sitting there telling lies. She knows that he had a drug problem but she lies about it.
She had no problem exploiting Elvis’s problems in her book written nearly 40 years after his death when she like-so many had a better understanding of the problems Elvis had. That poor man was used by so many.
@Linda-v6x3o u r so right!
HE NEVER USED DRUGS. He used PERSCRIPTION PILLS PERSCRIBED TO HIM AND ADMINISTERED BY A LIVE IN NURSE. HE WAS ASKING ABOUT DOPE AKA HERION.
I think EVERYONE should read " Destined to die young" & DR Forrest Tennants (World renowned Neurologists, was present at all 4 of Elvis Autopsies, was the state hired Medical Expert for Dr Nichopoulos trial VS the Tennessee medical board & The State of Tennessee wrongful death trial. He is the only person who has has Elvis ENTIRE medical files from Birth to death, has written hundreds of medical articles in the New England Medical journal on Elvis, podcasts, blogs all with Dr Nick & was the Medical Expert also hired in Howard Hughes 1970's trial, and STILL practices medicine). Elvis had MAJOR health problems from birth. There is WAY more to that story. His mom, Grandma Doll & 6 of his 8 uncles all died in their 40's. Elvis suffered 4 traumatic brain injuries the last being in 1967. He tripped over a television cord in the bathroom and he was unconcious for over 8hrs before he was found! According to his medical records and everyone around him he was never the same. He suffered from massive migraines and developed glaucoma hence the shades you start seeing in 1969. It's what made his eyes water on stage so much. According to his autopsy findings a piece of his brain tissue was jarred loose passing thru his brain barrier. His body began attacking it like a foreign substance and lead to an Autoimmune inflammatory disorder. Then his body began to attack itself. In 1967 they had NO CLUE about Brain Injuries and just how they affect the body. They noted on his medical records at the time that he had 'post concussion syndrome'. By 1970 Elvis was having major problems with his memory , remembering lyrics and names, severe body aches & chronic pain. His joints and limbs, even his lower spine to the point he started using a cane. He wouldn't do Karate as much on stage and he started needing much stronger medications. By 1971 he was seeing 13 specialists trying to diagnose exactly what was causing so many ailments. They had NO MRI's or CT scans, only XRays!
He took perscriptions to deal with his Genetic health problems (now we know found at all 4 Autopsys), his enlarged paralyzed colon, Glaucoma, Antitrypsin Deficiency, a condition which can result in lung and/or liver disease both of which he had severely at the time of his death. Elvis was never a smoker or drinker. He had Together with the immune system disorder, hypogammaglobulinemia, which plagued Elvis all his life and caused him to constantly fight various infections. His “inherited” weak heart, reactive arthritis, and the impact of his nocturnal lifestyle, resulting in a lack of vitamin D, the effects of which contributed to respiratory infections, reduced immune function, and inflammation. He had Cytochrome disease a defect in his CYP2D6 gene that can convert Coedine into Morphine in the body. Which is why he developed Cushings Disease. He had spinal blocks in 1975 in his spine which caused Cushings. He stopped breathing and was placed into the hospital, his face, and Abdomen were huge and would never fully go down. The press was calling him fat, but he was so sick. Only a handful of people knew what really was going on. Dr Forrest Tennant a world leading Neurologists was given all Elvis medical files and was at all 4 autopsies. He represented Elvis Dr Nick Nichopoulos at his trial in the State of Tennessee & against the Medical Board. He was the specialists in Howard Hughes Medical Trial too. He had written a book on this, numerous blogs, medical journal contributions, and even a podcast. He is still practicing medicine and talks openly about how this lead EXACTLY to Elvis death. People are still repeating the same uneducated guesses that 4 autopsies have disproven and medical science keeps proving were wrong.
Of the 11 bodily systems that operate to keep us alive and hopefully healthy. Critically, Elvis suffered disease or disorder in nine of them! And five were present from birth and pre his fame. His heart (circulatory system), his lungs (respiratory system), and his bowels (digestive/excretory systems) required medication. Insomnia affected his nervous system……His immune system was compromised. His urinary system was not functioning properly. At one point there was even talk of dialysis.
Often he is dismissed as just another rock ‘n’ roll drug addict. He wasn't taking street drugs. He was taking perscriptions not to "ESCAPE" he was taking them to try to maintain some sense of normalcy as himself in a time where the medical field was limited. No DNA, Genetics, No MRI's, little known about the addiction, his dystrophy & No understanding of Vitamin D even.
Looking at the illnesses and disorders, that mounted upon each other over the decades, it’s no coincidence that Elvis’ prescription drug use increased as his health declined. From ear infections to chronic tonsilitis to recurrent flus to eye infections and glaucoma…..these arguably insignificant ailments independently, grew into something more. As his body broke down, alongside multiple immune system disorders and genetic complications, prescription medication and his handy PDR tried to fill the gaps. When that no longer worked, hospital stays became the norm and his list of ailments grew.
The sicker he got, the more prescriptions he was prescribed. He was seeing a cardiologist before he bought Graceland. He was 20yrs old. They have gone through Elvis's entire life of medical records & now have an entire different story now. This is all the facts Geraldo & 20/20 never stated. He accidentally took the Codine the dentist's gave him that night due to the volume found in his blood at autopsy. His Genetic condition of Cytochrome Disease of his CYP2D6 defect caused his Coedine to build up in toxic levels to which he was deathly allergic to. He had been hospitalized twice before and had stopped breathing on a previous flight from. It caused his massively enlarged heart that was already failing to stop. His heart was 3 times a natural size weighing 520grams. It was missed in all 3 of his last medical visits. It had given him problems from records stating ATLEAST age 19. Hastened along by an rich Southern diet & an Autoimmune inflammatory disorder poor Elvis didn't stand a chance. Science wasn't even to the point where they could have helped him.
@kelliintexas3575 get a grip...stop rationalizing...abuse...misuse...
Robert Hegyes thought he was a star.....lol
Tommy Sands never discovered Elvis it was a woman who knew Parker.
Hi Randy
That woman was a secretary that worked at Memphis Recording Service for Sam Phillips. Her name was Marion Keisker.
Mike Douglas is being mean spirited towards Elvis in this interview. Must be having a bad day with his boyfriend.
