Beautiful engine and passenger train. You can't bet that MTH Proto Sound. I enjoyed seeing your cat, a cayote got my cat about a month ago. This made me think about some of my videos he tried to star in. It's good to see your railroad again.
Hallo John ! Grosse Show für Deine " Daylight " von MTH Raylking.Das ist auch mein Traumzug,Schade das er nicht mehr in "G " von MTH hergestellt wird . Grüße vom Peter aus Berlin Germany
Nice early one John. It's got me dusting off my buildings! I particularly like the shot of it going through the cross track at speed. Kitty lost a life in one scene. Good driving!
Hello..I was lucky enough to buy it off a guy in our local G Scale club. He bought it in direct from the USA. I got a really good deal. Thanks for looking. John. UK.
Greetings from the UK. Gosh, I made this video nearly 10 years ago. I can't remember what I did yesterday let alone so long ago !! I think it was ripped from another video of the real thing. Enjoy your 4449 experiences. Great loco.
Great layout. Just one question, and please don't take this wrong, but does the engine have a bent axle? It seemed to bob up and down with the rotation of the rear wheel when you ran it slow.
Thanks for watching and the comment Derek. I have not noticed it before and when I watch it through again now you have drawn my attention it does appear to bob up and down slightly.....I shall investigate !! Cheers. John
Hi Craig. The roadbed was a labor of love!! I used OSB roofing sheet cut to radius R3 which I attached battens to on the bottom face reduce possible warping. Then covered the board with roofing felt. I then finished it off with fine grit to resemble ballast. If you need some photo's send your email address via my GGaugewildwest website. Happy New Year and Best Regards. John
Hello and thanks for your comment. All the track bed base is actually made from many sections of OSB waterproof roofing sheet cut to suit the curves and covered with a bitumen roof felt and then ballast generally glued on. The whole of the track bed base then sits on the garden soil base. The rail track is then simply screwed to the track bed base. A simple but time consuming method of creating a stable bed base. I do not have any sections which are running over brick. Cheers John
I only like the real thing Ii hope there can be VERY high pressure on the friendly UP to permit trips with the real 4449f from highups thisis a very emosional issue but at what cost some fans take this UP stuff to seriously I can,t stand t hese peope who take this live steam to seriously were it soppse to be a substute for the the real thing
