really good point on the normal light bulbs. gamer brands have taken advantage of their notoriety to charge ridiculous prices for lights another great source for lights is Super Bright LEDs, they have high quality bulbs and light strips that aren't expensive. and it's not just knockoff sketchy stuff that can start fires, lol
I my experience for capture cards I've been using the Genki Shadowcast I have not tried out their new version, but they do have a software with the capture card where you can display your console from (I mainly use it for audio) the older version of their software (which downloads have been archived on their reddit since they tried to move their software to the microsoft store_ dose have a bit of a delay (reason why I have a HDMI spliiter connected to it so I can get the outfit from both the card and my monitors 2nd HDMI outfit (elgoto cards I've used in the past do not like hdmi splitters)
The knockoff hdmi captures usually encode color at 4:2:2 instead of 4:4:4. This makes text or anything with anti aliased edges look janky and also is why the color is also washed out. The least significant bits are being dropped in the chroma channels.
What capture cards are 4:4:4? I stopped using two pc and capture cards when I bought an avermedia live gamer 2 and it was 4:4:2 meaning all red texts especially in mmorpgs was an unreadable mess on stream.
i'd also recommend the SANSI brand for light bulbs. their grow bulbs are like $45 a bulb or thereabouts, but the larger ones put out a MASSIVE amount of 'true daylight' full spectrum light. really good for anything involving cameras, so long as you can place them a distance from the subject, since even reflections off fabric can be too bright for some sensors if the light is direct.
Well that explained why phone coolers is a thing. Not a fane of iphone tracking but many programs seem to only work with it so i am hoping it comes to another type of cheaper camera as iPhones are not cheap even when a used iPhone.
Wait...I thought the leap on her neck was doing the face capture stuff, what's the iphone doing? 🤔 Thoughts on the original Leap Motion vs the new model? Thanks for all the videos, Fofamit! :)
I never thought of using an ethernet adapter. That's a really good idea. Quick question: do VTubers who use an iPhone use the regular iPhone, or the iPhone Pro series (with Lidar sensor)?
@@Fofamit Ooh right, I always forget about Face ID. I have an iPad *just* slightly old enough to not have it, but am strongly considering switching my main phone, so I thought IU'd ask. Thank you!
Sometimes I make XVideos twitter.com/fofamit
nice banana for scale

I can't stop looking at the banana
Wow, those are some great tips! I wish corn lights were around when I was making films IRL!
what a great video idea!
These are fantastic stuff to add to my wishlist thank you!
This video is awesome! I need to get those LED lights for my softbox. My old lights are going bad in there!
What are the character polycount limits that you recommend for vrm vtubing models?
I actually use most of these items, or something similar. Here I thought I was being overkill.

I'm still waiting for the vRoid Android version, just like the iPad version. I don't have money for an iPad or a computer.

Not me carefully looking at every frame of the video with my Xray eyes to hopefully catch the full pic lol

Leap motion only does hand tracking, iPhone does face tracking for most VTuber set ups.

We use Apple devices with FaceID: support.apple.com/en-ca/102854

Criminally undersubbed.
The best VTuber channels usually are.
Well... Iphones do break the bank so I see why you wanna budget on everything else.
