The board for those trackers is so small and simple! I'd personally be tempted to print new cases and then run wires to them to avoid the weight of the battery. Yeah, it would be a pain to put on but once it was you could run them off a external pack on a belt that would last way longer than a single AA. But I can see why the went the AA route. Theyre so ubiquitous.
Given the voltage difference between regular AA batteries at 1.5v versus most rechargeables at 1.2v, I wonder how they'll perform with the lower voltage. And if the battery slots are big enough to handle the extra few micron width I've noticed a number of rechargeables have. (This comment brought to you by one of the automatic door locks I've owned that won't work with the lower voltage for some asinine reason.)

In my case I have the 6 tracker set, you can use a total of 8 trackers to get hand movement.... but you would need something else to get the finger movement like gloves.
I am using a new pair of gloves from a different company. Currently testing them out, will have a indepth review of them though since I have a bit to say about them.

personally would prefur them to have reachable battery i can plug in
so this can also be used to making animations for characters in games. Thnx for the video. Btw, anyone knows what @Fofamit is using for Vtubing?
It *can* be, but you would have to either use the motion data in Unity or in VRChat with some tools. But those are free options which is nice.
I would use rechargeables, I already have several rechargeable AA's around with an 8 bay smart charger

After feeling scammed by mocopi, I have minimal trust with any IMU-based tracking
I do plan to do a video on those as well, there is a lot to cover with the mocopi but overall I agree their marketing didn't line up with reality.
