Here in Austin for a visit. First place we went was Terry Black’s BBQ. AMAZING! Must do on anyone’s to do list.

Loved this video dude. It's somewhere I really want to go to myself. I cook Low and Slow BBQ here in the Uk but Blacks are one of the most famous.

That young lady eating the beef rib, lol, her eyes lit up & opened wide as soon as the rib meat hit her taste buds, love to see youngun's enjoying beef or pork smoked bbq & the young feller with her, y'all must have been starving, bite,2 chews, swallow, lol, more flavor time if you chew 8-10 times then swallow, get your money's worth, the meat ain't cheap , we like it here in s/e Kentucky, in western KY. bbq is mutton( sheep) & is good cause it is smoked right to be tender & flavorful & if you visit there go to moon light bbq, info from me, a 60 yr old Irishman hillbilly, been cooking, bbq'ing, grilling since I was 9 yrs old

In my area of Kentucky we don't use the word lunch ( a French word I think) I'm 60 yr old & everyone within a 15 county region here is Irish( I am) or Scottish, we say breakfast, dinner( around noon) & supper, I still can't get use to the word lunch, lol

In the intro to the video, am I seeing that all of the smoke stacks from the smokers are essentially connected together? Basically all of the smokers are drawing or releasing their smoke by the way of one exhaust pipe? Why would this be? Does this help regulate and or even out all of the smokers cooking temp? And use of or feeding of the wood to the fireboxes?

Some folks may cringe when the young feller said $ 150 worth of bbq , but there are 4 folks eating that with sides which is only about $ 37 each , not a bad price for great food/bbq

Go to lockhart the blacks there is the real deal this is commerical in the middle of dt austin surrounded by hipsters and coffee bars. Not to authentic.

Are those Buffalo ribs?, because I've never seen beef ribs that big...but they do look dam good!
Texas butchers will not separate the prime rib from the beef rib if you go to a classic butcher shop. Thats why they are so big
Beef ribs are a rip off, charge like 20/ lb and they weigh like 2 lbs.

Salt lick the drive out to driftwood south of Austin is nice. Plus they have all you can eat bbq for around 20 per person. Also bring your own beer. There's a hammock garden when you're done eating too.

I cant believe the prices man, 100 dollars in Philippines? You can throw a small party with 5 dishes or more + beers.
Yeah but, look at the salaries in Philippines and the salaries in USA.
Y'all being Aussie's , I always wanted to try kangaroo or wallaby meat, any other similar meat I could compare it to for taste ?, we eat about anything here in Kentucky( no skunks, birds of prey or buzzards) every other ground animal or bird is fair/fare game food. I'm 60 yr old now & we hunt a lot but we raise farm animals also, but many are sold for money or bartered for work & especially the good cuts from beef or pork as we know how to season & cook the tougher, less flavorful cuts til they are just as good if not better tasting that many folks don't want to take the time to do it right or don't know how to do it right.

For the price, I rather drive to Lockhart and get kruez bbq. It's way cheaper and way better.
Have you all eaten ince you left Australia ?, lol, youngun's, ( you youngun's are gonna choke to death taking a huge bite of beef rib & swallowing it whole) watch the feller older than you in the horizontal blue/white striped shirt, 8-10 chews to get all the juicy flavor of the bite of beef rib

texas bbq is absolutely the best. there is a reason why it's copied so much.
This blacks isn't anything special you might as well go to rudys country store and bbq, about equivalent. They shouldn't cut the sausage like that either supposed to give you the whole link. Where are these people from new Zealand? You could give them bill miller brisket and they'd be amazed.
I think you might be pushing it with the Bill Miller's comment. Blacks in Lockhart is the best brisket in my book.

@@DimmyAdventures go to lockhart for bbq next time. Smitty's is the best spot there, also the original Blacks is there if you want to try authentic texas bbq.
@@DimmyAdventures or just stop by Rudy's country store and bbq on 360. You can fill up your gas tank while you're there.
