Man, you really have such a soulful and unique way of transforming these standards to something that is truly yours. Wonderful as always to have you on my recommended, please keep on playing!
Your phrases are quite special, and I appreciate the way you incorporate harmonics. Everything just comes together like the pieces of a beautiful puzzle. Subcribed. Remember me when you become famous my guy hehe
🥰 Hello, absolutely sublime! Congratulations! And, thank you so much for sharing this with us! Have a nice day 🥰 Take care of yourself and your loved ones Christophe
Just Brilliant! this is just too beautiful probably my fav after Joe Pass's version! Can you share some ideas how can I develop such chord vocabulary? I can play standard jazz voicings but yours are too good! any leads would be really helpful! Thank you!!!
thank you very much, im glad you like it. the way i tend to go about finding chords is to build them from scales, ie try to find how many different ways there are to play 5 different notes from each scale shape.
Well done! I took lessons with both Ted Greene and Lenny Breau in the early 1980’s and as many here have already commented, your playing is reminiscent of Ted’s especially. Keep up the great playing, you’ve got a bright future ahead.
Beautiful playing 👏🏻 I noticed you have a G&L, my favourite brand of guitars. I own three custom build Asat's that I have fitted with different pickups.
yeah it kind of is, im using the top of thumbnail to strum upwards and first finger to mute for the harmonics, it works well on chords where the notes are all on the same fret. i saw it first at 5:15 in this ua-cam.com/video/sz10Q3AUiw4/v-deo.htmlsi=pbRXGN9skyYMqQBl&t=315
Do you think you could get the guy breathing really heavily through their nose to do it in time with the music? I think im an oddball because I found it proper distracting from the song
holy moly the opening 5 seconds were absolutely magic... beautiful sounds
thanks very much
My favorite version and the best Telecaster tone of anything I've ever heard!
thank you very much :)
From the Ted Greene/Tim Lerch school, but with your own touch. Nice!
thanks :)
One of the most interesting reharmonizations of this standard I've ever heard. Beautiful use of inner moving voices and bass line. Bravo. Outstanding.
thank you very much

@@RayGarnerGSU Thank you! This helps very much
youre welcome :)
nice early morning discovery. If you haven't, try listening to some work from Ed Bickert. You might dig his work. Pure Desmond is a good start.
cheers, Ive heard some Ed Bickert but not that particular album, ill check it out
this is super cool! how do you do this harmonics? With both thumb and ring finger or just thumb?
cheers, i pick the harmonic notes with the thumb and the regular notes with the ring finger
u good mate
Sounds amazing, great playing! What amp and guitar are you using?
thank you, stock fender american professional tele and stock princeton reverb reissue
that's such a beautiful guitar...which exact spec is this? thanks
thank you, its a stock american professional 1 tele from about 2019
Magnifico
thanks :)
presets and tuning please? or what signal chain? this tone is immaculate
thank you. this is standard tuning and straight into a princeton reverb amp
Ted greene and lenny breau vibes
cheers, two of my favourite players
Amazing tone!! Question, is the neck pickup on you tele stock or from another brand??
thanks, all stock. treble on the amp is all the way down and tone on the guitar is about 50%
bravo
This is crazy bro
Cheers Agni
I ragazzi a posto ci sono, come si vede!

at like 5-6 seconds in... was that a strum with harmonics? ive never seen that before
Ikr what the hell how

HOW
if youre interested ive written out the chords for this one here: dreamless.digital/docs/sheets/autumn_leaves.pdf
Do you think you could get the guy breathing really heavily through their nose to do it in time with the music? I think im an oddball because I found it proper distracting from the song
That's just the sound of autumn leaves in the wind
Beautiful stuff Ray!
cheers :)
Why don’t these people get in some decent practice before they commit something like this to UA-cam! Only joking of course…… excellent stuff!
