I’m building new house
And want to add blocking before the drywall
I have not bought the closet maid system yet
I know the upper track is 84” high off the floor
Can you please tell me the distance down from the track to the mounting hole on the
Vertical tracks
So I can add a row of blocking

WHAT IS THE TOOL YOU USES TO CUT THE WIRE?
It's called a bolt cutter. I believe mine is 14" long with 5/16" cutting capacity. Makes quick work of those wire shelves vs using a hacksaw and is much less messy compared to a cutoff tool

Thanks for this bit of advice. I have been thinking about using this type of shelving to convert a bedroom into a walk-in closet and I'm EXTREMELY concerned about my stuff ending up on the floor because something failed.
@@lalakeneni toggle action anchors are the best. They have a little zip tie and a bolt and are rated for about 135 depending on the thickness of your drywall. I actually mounted a TV with 2 screws into the stud and 4 pull toggle anchors into the drywall. Only problem is they require a 1/2” hole.
Why are you hammering those anchors? You just drill them in. This closet is going to fall

Why would it fall off? Cuz it’s plastic? (Asking cuz I’m getting ready to diy my closet that fell)
It’s better to screw into studs. Those drywall anchors claim insane weight strength but your drywall doesn’t have that strength.
@@missm472it wouldn't fall off because the Rawl plugs (wall anchors) are plastic.
It may fall off because that type is for plasterboard (drywall) and one is meant to screw them in, not hammer them in.
Also screwing into the wooden studs the plasterboard is nailed to is more secure than screwing into the plasterboard.
