I've been in Texas since 1980 and every year I have had allergy attacks at least once a year, sometimes twice; I've even had to take a week or two off of work to get over the allergy. In January of this year, 2017, I started following the Wim Hof breathing method, and as of today, 09-13-2017 at 6:32 pm, I have not had one allergy attack or any other kind of illness.

I deal with depression, anxiety, and Cohn's disease. After only 1 day of trying this,I have hope now. I know I didn't even do it correctly, only partly. Evan Carmichael I found out I was wrong. This breath technique puts you into an O2 deprived C02 rich state, stimulating increased red cell O2 uptake. By putting O2 directly in your blood forcing the uptake of CO2 by the cells, giving you the tingles. This is contrary to modern medicine theory, but I met a man doing quite well without red cells. ( He said his orange blood looked like jello.) Regardless what you believe, it works. Thanks for posting & the support. I'm doing the breathing daily. Better O2 uptake by this second method and increased red cells are good for you.

My whole life I've felt like I could almost touch the truth. Being able to control our bodies and even things outside of our bodies is possible I felt that this was a truth. But i was so lost in a soulless world. And it's still hard to be able to live like this every day. Trying to stay with what you know and keeping that control. But this is definitely a method that everyone can understand to reconnect with themselves and from there you can do anything you want. And it will be easier to figure out what it is that you want :P

Question: I have chron's disease for years and been doing Wim Hof Method for a while, but from this channel I now know that for people who have chron's they should be doing push up after exhalation, why is that? It's kind of important question to me so thank you very much to whoever good souls who answer this question :). God bless!

    • @billbradleymusic
      @billbradleymusic 7 років тому

Muhammad Bayu a personal semi experienced opinion: when breath is exhaled your veins and arteries restrict. Possibly sucking the poison from your blood and replacing it with new air/O2. cleaning your blood in essence. when you increase your heart rate while exhaled you are speeding up the cleaning. Again, just an observed opinion.

    • @billbradleymusic
      @billbradleymusic 7 років тому

try sucking in your guts while exhaled as well. ..like you may have seen the old yogis doing.

billbradleymusic Edit: "For those who have inflamatory condition like arthritis or MS or anything like that-could be crohn's, anything; you do it after INHALATION. Pushups after inhalation. Brings down inflammatory markers, zoom!" - Wim Hof (23:16)
Just noticed that I have asked the wrong question :(. What I really meant is, why do people with crohn's should go pushups after INHALATION instead of EXHALATION according to Wim Hof's short explanation in this video? But thanks for your answer however, it's highly appreciated. Let me know if you have any opinion on this one please. Have a great day, my friend. :)

Second one was faster pace. Inhalation is held in the second also (instead of holding after exhalation) . Then abdomen chest, neck, and head are contracted before exhalation. Hope that helps.

I'm confused - I've watched every youtube clip with Wim so far and done the breathing technique for about half a year, and I always exhale all the way before holding the breath. At the end of the breathing of the 2nd set at 22:52 he instructs everybody to breath in and hold the breath. I haven't seen him do that in other sessions. Is that generally how to do it?

I believe what Wim Hof is doing is wonderful! But I feel the explanations he gives is not complete. The result he (and all of us who have tried his method) is having is a proof of our evolutionary biology.
I will briefly explain what I think is happening in our bodies. When our ancestors were in the jungle with little clothing and limited shelter, the body had a natural way to keep itself healthy when there was cold. And when our ancestors saw dangerous animals, they would hide in the bushes and sometimes hold their breaths. By doing this, the body's biological defenses are awakened because the brain senses danger nearby. So a combination of exposure to cold and holding off breath awakens the body's biological defense systems!

    • @gbubemia
      @gbubemia 7 років тому +1

Thomas Sven Whittaker I agree with you 100%. Your explanation is better. I think people who have experienced deliberate fasting are doing the same thing. No wonder some people experience 'spiritual enlightenment' after a prolonged period of fasting.
      Thanks for your reply!!!

Yes there is only one interview of a Dutch scientist who revealed the specific protein activated from the cold water immersion but he says it only works if first the breathing technique to increase adrenaline is first used. The breath retention after exhale activates the vagus nerve and vastly increases oxygen and acetylcholine to the brain - and this increases ACTH that suppresses any inflammation as chronic disease. But there is also a secret qi or prana or N/om energy that is only explained by quantum biology. I go into this on my blog - I can't link since youtube censors my links. haha. But it's posted on my channel description. I have free links with lots of images and science citations. I researched this 20 years plus studied with a Chinese qigong master who does high level healing with the Mayo Clinic - research has proven external qi healing using randomized controlled studies - of chronic pain not treatable by Western medicine.

I'm not feeling it. Wim introduced me to the benefits of breath and ice 2 years ago. Long ago before we took our materialist path, this was commonly known and practiced by many.I continue to take ice baths and the benefits are amazing. The video feels like an infomercial and not from the heart. I don't think they should live in poverty, but practicing Wim's techniques has caused me to be more altruistic and mindful to all living things. I wish them all the best and I hope I'm just having a negative attitude today.

Though watchful Hell's always out to get you,
it has none but a distant dominion
far from Paradise, and you have in you
a place in your heart--hear it yearning?
    --
You look at the first bright rose of the sun,
yes, first, but that's second to your own face!
    --
"May night send me thousands of stars to bathe with.
    --
You, black cleft in the rocks, laugh among flowers.
    --
Now downward and near wheels the golden-winged
that quickly left its branch for the rocky shore
and there takes in beauties of sea and sky,
and there heaves its voice with all its magic,
    harmonizing sea with desolate stone,
and calls out the late night star that must rise.
Birdie, airing your voice of miracles,
if your marvelous song is not pure bliss,
nothing good has flowered here or in heaven.
Oh, if one stroke could get me where I'd go,
sea-foam, keep me afloat till my return,
with mother's kiss, native earth in my fist.
    --
I kiss my hands and sweetly hug myself.
My soul's eyes are open wide and watching.
So whence springs your birth, fountain so graceful?"
    --
Nature, you smiled at once and yielded to him.
Hope, you bound his mind with all your magic powers.
Lovely, new world full of joy and goodness.
He looked around to see .............................
Now confronts the youth the tiger of the sea,
and far, alas, from reach his sword and musket.
How easily it slices through the deep
    and comes speeding ...................................
for the pure white throat gleaming like a swan's,
for the strong broad chest and for the fair head,
for the sweet magnanimous breath of youth,
and thus the young man ...............................
    from Nature's gorgeous, powerful embrace,
in which she softly held and whispered him--
while in his free, naked glowing body
the crafts of swimmer and of warrior stirred.
    --
Before it passed the great soul filled with joy,
in a bolt of light the young man knew himself.
Worlds around him opened, showering him with crowns.
    ............................................................................
Torso wondrous in your ruin and grandeur,
dear lovely stranger in the bloom of youth,
come, receive ashore the strong man's lament.
