    Kept saying wow! Over and over 😅. Look at the food alone, excellent presentation. I I’m totally for the all inclusive concepts. Where everything is truly included. Even an open happy hour, with spirits. Amazing Alaska excursions as well. Just amazing. You’re right the little touches do make it even more special and memorable.

      Thank you so much 😁 Those happy hours are GREAT! I think the cocktails were "two for one" if you hadn't upgraded to a bevvie package. I upgraded (probably didn't need to) because it was only $30 more per day.

      It really is amazing Sonya! YES, he had so much fun. On the flight home we were all trying to decide which of the tours was our fave- the wave runners, helicopter or E-bike. They were all so special in different ways. I LOVED the thrill of the wave runners, but the Ebike tour was SO organized and the guides were just 10/10 amazing!

    Really great ship tour and video. Oceania was smart to host your family. Please tell me if you think your experience would be the same for a non-influencer who booked a cruise with Oceania.

    • @CruiseTipsTV

      Good question and I think it would. We stayed in a standard balcony, ate all the same food and went on all the same excursions and were treated the same way. It’s the ship size and people who make it special. If you’re a small ship lover and like a premium, more adult experience- you’ll love it.

    Thanks for your review. We are scheduled for a Scandinavian cruise July 2025, and looking forward to it. We are hoping that Oceania will offer the same Pacific Coast to Alaska cruise that you are on for 12 days in 2026. Do you know if this your cruise to Alaska with disembarkation in Vancouver, is offered annually? Cheers.

    Question for you. You mentioned free drinks “with” your lunch and dinner. So does that mean only while you’re actually sitting at a table being served by a waiter/waitress? What about a pre dinner drink at the bar? Just curious how that all irons out. Thank you!

    • @CruiseTipsTV
      @CruiseTipsTV  4 місяці тому +2

      Hey! Great question- yes, it was beer and wine served at your dinner or lunch table by a waiter waitress. And, the bar outside the MDR doesn't even OPEN until 6:30pm. So, the nice thing is though, they have Happy Hour at the bars BEFORE dinner, 2 for 1 drinks so most people would do that, THEN go to dinner when the dining rooms opened at 6:30pm. It does take some getting used to, but it works!

    Hi Sheri! Looks like a great ship and I need to watch your video until the very end...I promise I will get back to it, but in the meantime I do have a question. We've been on four cruises and our fifth one is scheduled for next year...I have always made copies of all of the paperwork (cruise excursions, boarding paperwork, drink packages you get my drift) and carried them in a tote bag...but it seems like the cruise lines have moved away from actually needing hard copies (in case anything was wrong, you had the hard copies to back you up). I carried around this tote bag with all of our back up copies of ship-travel documents and have never once took any of the papers out of my bag...or needed them because everything is online now. What are your feelings about needing to carry hard copies anymore? Sorry for this long-winded question...TIA!

    • @CruiseTipsTV
      @CruiseTipsTV  4 місяці тому +2

      You sound a lot like me. I generally don’t refer to the paper copies and there’s only a very few things that I take anymore on paper. I will still take my printed excursion Reservations if they are not with a cruise company. But I don’t print anything airline related or drink package stuff or anything like that. So only the things that you won’t find in your cruise ship app. I hope that helps you.

      Good question! When you factor in that most pax got air and a pre cruise hotel night included AND included alcohol, dollar for dollar, it was probably quite close, especially if you typically buy a drink package. No glacier day on this cruise, which was interesting! But, I think they usually do glacier days!

    We love Oceania! We've cruised twice on Oceania Riviera. Our first experience with Oceania was a 23 day transatlantic from Miami to Venice, Italy! Sunsets on the Atlantic are sublime. Service was impeccable and the food exceeded our expectations. The Simply More pricing includes just about everything that we would want, so no nickel and dime add-ons for us. We have 3 future cruises booked with Oceania and we can't wait.

    • @DaveM-FFB

      The Oceania Riviera (1,250 passengers) was our first venture into small ship cruising and we loved it. However, I think the Oceania R-Class ships might be a little too small for us (680 passengers). We also plan to give Viking (Ocean) a try on their 930 passenger ships. Currently Viking seems to be about 10% - 15% less expensive compared to Oceania in an apples to apples comparison.
