In this video I show you what stem rot looks like on a Dieffenbachia. I originally cut her and let her dry out for over 24 hours. I even added diatomaceous earth on her cutting for added protection. I then started her propagations in moist soil. About 7-10 days I noticed that her stem was looking sunken...it was rotted. Here is the cuts I took then.....they look worse now.

We are four weeks into our hoya propagations. Last week I potted up the Australis, but wasn't sure if the leafless tendrils would do anything but root...boy was I pleasantly surprised. In this video, we take a quick trip through root and leaf progress of several of my current propagations.

Me too Linda. I tried it cause I thought they would surely rot in water..and quickly. Well look how successful I am ...I was able to rot them in soil just as quick as in water 🤣.
