      That’s exactly what I was thinking, pickled ginger is meant to be a palate cleanser before taking a bite of a different type of sushi.

    Total BS...you have lost the flavor of the tuna by packing the wasabi and the ginger in the same bite. The ginger's purpose was to cleanse the palate after each bite. The wasabi was to enhance the flavor of the fish..not overpower it! The subtle is lost in your presentation!
