My mother used to collect the Snow Village as did I. I have around 20 and I just love them all set up at Christmas. I would never paint mine but I did buy a couple at an estate sale to spray white to resell. They ended up in my living room this Christmas. I think they look lovely painted white. Mine were collected over the years costing $50-$100 each. It’s sad to me that people are donating them and they bring neatly nothing.!

I love rain, and I really love thunderstorms. We just got a lot of snow and very cold weather, here in PA. I hate the cold, but like the snow. Beautiful haul. I even had trouble finding snow clothes here, for my children, when they were growing up. Maybe, you will find some, though, when you get to where you're going.

Wanted to add I put remote control tea lights in my houses. You have to directly aim the control threw a window but some you do not. Beautiful and I got timed ones from amazon.

I was off today so I thrifted. I bought a changing table that I’ll paint and convert into some type of shelving or display. Oh goodness, I love the glass canisters for coffee and tea! I needed those. Always enjoy your videos.

Sarah, you and I have a lot in common. Obviously, "thrifting" and decorating our homes in a warm and welcoming tone. But, I also LOVE the rain just as you do (which is a good thing since I live near the coast in Washington state....and yes, we "do" a lotta rain, lol). Did you know that there's a term for people like us who "like/enjoy" the rain ? Pluviophile= a person who loves the rain. Lovely haul, Sarah! I thrifted a Christmas village to decorated my table for the Women's Christmas dinner at my church this past Christmas :) I also LOVE the rain! We currently live in AZ and hardly ever get rain so we are excited to be moving to VA this year where is rains fairly often :) Have a blessed week my friend!

I think my favorite is the whisk and the nutcrackers. Those nutcrackers will go spectacular on the top of a mantle with a group of other nutcrackers. Great finds. (Should have gotten that bunny though...would have been adorable for Spring. :)

Great finds the first nutcracker is a tapered candle holder. Air dry clay will repair the broken spots. Out on and shape to missing part. Smooth with finger and then with wooden pop cycle to edge it. Let dry and paint. put clear varnish for crafts to match finish. Wa la! No one will know it was broke. I've done it with rabbits, and no one can tell.

My favorite item hands down is the pillow. Just beautiful. When you paint the houses, you should put tape over the front of their signs. The signs will look odd if they're totally blank in my opinion.

Maybe you can tape off the Christmas village signs and church stained glass windows when you spray. Can always paint sign later if you don’t like it. I think I’ll watch for houses here in Arizona and do your white village. Love the idea. Thank you.

Those houses are gonna look great. Going matte or gloss? Some people use Epsom salt w/ spray adhesive for the snow.

Do you think the little tops of the nutcrackers will hold a candle? Because the caps are removable and the openings look like a candle would fit, I wonder if they're meant to be candlesticks when they aren't being displayed as nutcrackers.

Great finds! The little trees could be painted white as well. Evergreen trees could be spayed with a can of artificial snow...blessings.
