Such an inspiring movie, I loved Wil's performance, he played Gordie extremely well!
I was a child actor, and my mother wouldn't let me quit anything. Albeit it was in a small country and in the 80s, so I wasn't like super famous or anything. But enough that when I had been on TV, I was suddenly different than everyone else in school. And I just wanted to have a normal childhood.
I work in the entertainment industry and some of the most disgusting people I have ever seen are child actor's parents. Very sad what happens to the kids and how messed up they become. Very few make it to adulthood without being totally messed up.
I heard the full interview and enjoyed it. It's a shame about his upbringing but he sounds so positive now & that is awesome.

I'm an actor / stunt performer, part time body guard. I have a good look (big mean and ugly) former Special Forces, so directors love me for SOC action stuff occasional speaking parts. I work on dozens of projects a year, but not a recognizable name, so I am never in danger of being mobbed. However I have been a peripheral bodyguard, one that gets the brunt of the rush while the primary grabs the star and pushes them into the limo. It is not a good feeling at all, teenager's bony elbows and knees flying every which way. It is just as the name describes a "mob rush", you can't stop a tide of crazed people, you can only get the target of their stupidity out and away, sometimes that is even impossible.

I agree. He goes in and talks shit about people he knows nothing about just to pile on whoever the woke mob is angry with at any given time. I've heard him say or tweet things that he would say are unacceptable if they were coming from someone else.

It’s a bit odd but also his choice. People should be able to ask and hear. Maybe he’s sick. Maybe he’s worried. Maybe he’s concerned exposing others. Maybe he jus likes it.
Ultimately it’s his business. But some folks are curious. When I see someone doing it in an odd situation (like in an enclosed space where they right next to someone for hours) … it is a bit odd.

There is a point where you need to toughen up and move on. This whole schtick of "I was abused by girls mobbing me at Disney" is lame.
