I made this recipe without the oil as some people have pointed out that he forgot it in the video but mentioned it on the recipe website, but it was still moist and delicious, I don’t think the oil is needed.
Guys I looked at so many refined sugar free recipes and this is the best. Make sure you go to his website for the full recipe. He gives a few tips that are game changers.... things like room temperature eggs ( not straight from the fridge ) I didn't add the choc chips and I just wanted a classic plain Banana Bread. I cant believe how perfect is. Thank You Coit
I baked this yesterday and it’s the best recipe I’ve ever tried, the only difference was that I used honey instead of maple syrup, plain flour instead of wheat flour and I added 3 tablespoons of olive oil since this was mentioned in the blog but not in the video. The best banana bread I’ve ever made!!
Thanks for the recipe, I wanted to make a healthier banana bread, and was happy with the results. Everyone I gave some loved it. I did use walnuts in mine though.
My banana bread turned out super yummy and best part is its healthy! I did not use oil and found it be a bit dry when i pulled out of the oven but once rested it was just perfect.
I tried out this recipe and it came out perfect, i feel more proud because it was my first time ever baking. my family loved it! will remake in the future! keep up the wonderful work :)
Mine is currently in the oven . I’ll let you know how it turned out specially because I made a couple of changes : 3/4 of a cup of oats , honey (I didn’t have maple syrup) and I added … walnuts!! Yes , I love walnuts 🤭. Thanks for the recipe
Been making this regularly now..skipping chocolate chips every now and then.... definitely adding walnuts..... NO OIL .... comes out amazing every time.....
I came across you and enjoyed what I saw This banana bread looks amazing Never made it with whole wheat flour but I am going to try it for sure Thanks 👍
No stand mixer needed!!! This is what democratizing banana bread is . I watched three videos where stand mixer seemed to be as important as in ingredient. Thanks to UA-cam algorithm gods I found this one . Just bought all the ingredients and going to make it as soon as I am home
Hi I want to make some banana bread as I have really ripe ( actually maybe totally off bananas - they're completely brown!) but I just cannot throw them away. When I open them I am hoping they will be sweet and perfectly OK to bake with! I will taste them first to make sure they are OK! Thank you for your video. You speak clearly, positively and with a nice smile which I do not get much of in the UK ( maybe it's the weather and the fact that many people are living off microwaved prepackaged meals a lot instead of proper, healthy food...)!!! It is great that you are cooking at home and you have chosen some healthier ingredients but your recipe could be healthier!! Here are my comments and suggestions: You said that you only used 2 sweeteners in this recipe but actually you used 3 (bananas, maple syrup and chocolate chips)!!! Chocolate is often made mainly of sugar (and the unhealthy refined white sugar variety!!!) So be careful when you use them as you might be putting too much sugar in your cakes. I use chopped raisins to sweeten my cakes instead of chocolate as they are healthier than chocolate chips, I prefer the taste of raisins and they provide some fibre too. Other people like to use dates in cakes to sweeten them naturally and in a healthier way. What is in maple syrup?? It sounds like a manmade syrup... which means it might have some chemical sweetener added to it - they have been adding various different types of sugar to MOST food products on sale in the shops - people are always trying to con the consumer - it is NOT good! As a result of it all I am very suspicious of anything that does not look like a fruit or vegetable!!! Some vanilla extracts also have sugar in them!! You could just add cocoa powder to the mix instead of chocolate chips. That way there is less sugar in your cake. Why did you use baking soda in this recipe??? You used eggs so there is NO need to add a manmade chemical additive to the mix too!!! Eggs can be used on their own as a raising agent. There is no need to put 2 types of raising agent in a cake. I AVOID using baking soda and baking powder as much as possible as they are manmade chemical powders and people who eat them in cakes regularly have lots of different health complaints (obesity, inflammation, low mood etc and they are constantly going on about hospital appointments and they have all manner of death stories!!!). I prefer my cakes to be made from 100% natural healthy ingredients and I prefer to use eggs or nothing! In this last year I have started using organic eggs too instead of free range eggs. As a chef/cook you should always encourage your viewers to use healthy sugar and healthy salt in recipes (eg unrefined natural sugar and unrefined natural salt rather than any sugar and salt as it would encourage viewers to make EVERY ingredient healthy which is better for their health!). All the books on nutrition and healthy eating I have read state to stay OFF the refined chemical sugar and salt as they have been linked to MANY diseases but many people have still been using them in foods making themselves and others ill!! They clearly need a LOT of reminders and encouragement to use healthy versions of sugar and salt whenever they cook! I love nuts!!! Walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds etc. They are all great in our food and you should start eating them as they are VERY good for you ( so say all books I have read on healthy eating!!!). Sometimes it just takes a little getting used to if you are not used to them. You could try chopping them in very little pieces first and then adding them to cakes together with other nuts, you will not notice them that way. If you use them in this way you should realise that walnuts are very good and hopefully use them more often in your cooking. I give my husband walnuts to eat on their own with fresh fruit and he eats them without a problem. He is happy to eat these healthy nuts. You probably should be eating them too!! Instead of buying oatmilk in packaging that looks quite bad for the environment, you could make oatmilk yourself and that way you will have fewer additives in your homemade meals and it will be better for the planet too because there will be less packaging/waste generated. It is really easy to make homemade oatmilk. Instead of spending lots of money on oatmilk in cartons you could spend your money on organic oats and make homemade oatmilk and it will be better for your health and that of your family. You could use the oats that are left in the nut milk bag to make oat cookies or porridge! You could also try using unrefined vegetable oil instead of butter to grease your tins and in your recipes. Dairy is very fattening and has been linked to lots of health complaints so I am using unrefined vegetable oils instead when I cook now instead of dairy. I hope this helps you cook in a healthier manner! Best of luck with your cooking and baking!
What I'm curious is why do you call it bread instead of cake? Is it because of whole wheat flour? Anyway, it looks delicious and I'm going to follow your recipe anyway.
Did i miss the baking soda? Anyway, yeah I'd rather put walnuts than choco chips. Some use raisins which I don't. Why? I don't like the texture. Why I prefer walnuts? Healthier option and I like the crunch sometimes. Question, do whole wheat flour make the bread darker? Thanks
First, kudos for remembering the oven thing at the top. I was thinking when you first started that you'd be pleased, and I was right. Um, about the walnuts thing? We don't have to explain why we like them. You need to work this out with your therapist, especially with all the passion around the dislike. I'm praying for a breakthrough here with you. Miracles do happen.😀
Great Video, ALSO I hate nuts in my food. I like a Snickers or some roasted salted nuts but not in desserts or my food. Eww! Never thought I'd hear that on UA-cam lol.
I'm just watching the other part of the video hi wife, I'm the same way I really don't like baking cuz baking it's like a science Savory cooking you can kind of wing it
You didn't show in which part you add the olive oil it says 1/ 2 cupbut i didn't see you adding 🙃 I added anyways as the recipe says 🫠im gonna cross my fingers 😫
Does your recipe call for 1/2 cup of veg oil??? I don't see you adding oil in your video? Also at the beginning where you show each of the ingredients, I don't see oil? Did I miss something

I replaced oil with melted vegan butter, added a scoop of protein powder, and substituted the eggs for vegan yoghurt, turned out delicious!!
I have substituted the flour with oat flour and it turned out amazing, it is our favorite banana bread of all time! Thank you 🙏
I was coming to ask if i could use oat flour! Yay! Ty! ❤
the healthiest of all recipes I have seen. THANKSSSSSSS. I keep coming back to this.
Thanks for the recipe, I wanted to make a healthier banana bread, and was happy with the results. Everyone I gave some loved it.
I did use walnuts in mine though.
Use 1/2 cup oil as mentioned in the link. Otherwise bread turns out dry. He forgot to add oil in this video.
Made it w/o oil and it turned out fine :)
That's a lot of fat, prob why it's not in it. If you want a healthy option to make it moist try half a cup of non fat plain greek yougurt
Been making it just as shown and it comes out amazing.... oil not needed.
oOoOO thanks ...@@innocentrage1
My banana bread turned out super yummy and best part is its healthy! I did not use oil and found it be a bit dry when i pulled out of the oven but once rested it was just perfect.

Making this for a second time it’s brilliant thanks for sharing recipe
I make it with stevia and walnuts because my mom is diabetic but yours looks delicious.
Love banana bread and even better with walnuts because it’s crunchy.😊
Pecans rule in banana bread!!!

The best banana bread I have ever made!
Thank you❤
Walnuts are one of the best nuts in the world! Rich in omega 3 and they taste just like heaven❤

i know u wrote this comment 7 months ago but how did it go? :)
@@Stargirl_xo13 it turned out a little dry because of the oats but still good .
Honey cooked is not good, it lost all benefits of honey, when it heat.
@there’s truth in what you’re commenting but the reason for using honey instead of table sugar is because it has a lower glycemic index .
I think now how it will taste to add blueberries to the banana bread. I will try it out. Thanks for the inspiration
Hope you enjoy
Hi made this turned out to be great!!! Thanks again for this recipe and clear instructions
I have never tried with maple syrup and milk… will surely try. Looks great!
Great!
Hi . This receipe looks amazing .
Can we use honey instead of maple syrup ?
Yes you can. Enjoy!
Walnuts are so good!! Love this recipe
Oh yes!!! My dad loves banana bread! Is his favorite dessert and now it's healthier thank you😊
So glad to hear it!
Been making this regularly now..skipping chocolate chips every now and then.... definitely adding walnuts..... NO OIL .... comes out amazing every time.....
I tried it and it came out delicious. Thank you
Would almond or coconut flour work as well?
Thanks for saving my bunch of bananas that was destined for the bin due to be coming very ripe. 🤩
It's the best use of old bananas for sure!
Oh my God I can't believe you remembered, we're all so proud of you stop banana bread with so so so good, have a great weekend
Haha thank you!

P.S. Use a shell to get a shell out of your egg.
Cranberry is good too
Walnuts and pea cans are super healthy shaped like the brain ☺️
Amateur question, this will be my first time baking banana bread. Can I use baking powder instead of baking soda? Thanks for the recipe!

Did you add any olive oil ? On your website is has olive oil as an ingredient for this banana bread
.
Your healthy banana bread is delicious and I added walnuts!
Did you add olive oil. ?
Yeeees I love me some banana bread
Mee toooo!
Walnuts are bomb 🔥 I like them in everything that sweet! Almost
Their texture, taste and nutrition bonus 👌
Like the fact that beyond the maple syrup there's no extra sugar. I'm gonna give it a go
Great, hope it turns out fantastic for you!
This was so easy and good, thank you
I like a crunch in banana bread lol so I’ll say yes to walnuts 😜
I need it
🙌🏻
What I'm curious is why do you call it bread instead of cake? Is it because of whole wheat flour? Anyway, it looks delicious and I'm going to follow your recipe anyway.
Thank you for the recipe.
Can i use honey instead of maple syrup
Wow it looks so delicious! You explain everything so well.
I like your method of baking..
I love walnuts !
Walnuts or pecans gives banana bread so much more flavor...
agree to disagree :)
Could I change the flour to almond flour?
Yes you can
Your videos are so good and add to my life. The banana oatmeal cookies 😋😋😋😋 yum
Is there olive oil in this receipe? The receipe link says it needs 1/2 cup olive oil but didn't see it added in the video
Have the same doubt
really it looks amazing what about taste 😊😊😊
It tastes great, hope you give it a try!
@@cookingwithcoit yup definitely ✌🏽✌🏽

Can’t wait to try this….with Walnuts!
I laughed when you remembered 🤣 - we don't mind if you forget; we know it's coming - lol!
haha thank you! 🙏🏻
Great recipe!
There’s just one of me. Do I store at room temperature or fridge?
I freeze my ripe bananas, so how many cups of bananas, ?
Is maple syrup must for banana bread?
You don't have to but I find that it provides a nice sweetness without having to use granulated sugar.
U did not say why the small bowl- loved the way u included your wife's presence
Tried this came out great... it's on repeat list. Thanks
What about pecans? Do you like pecans?
You can add golden raisins and coconut too
I don't like pecans either! I only like peanuts but they must be covered in chocolate :)
Hey Justin. I take a sandwich bag to smear a grease around a baking dish!

@@cookingwithcoit BTW, I bought a Zavor multi-cooker because of you! Thanks for giving me the confidence.
Hahaha Jack 🤣🤣 the best comment
That looks yummy 😁
Thanks!
Why not use the quarter cup three times that way you only used two measuring cups!
Haha I could do that too! Good tip
ure funny and honest
The website says 350 and to use oil and the video has no oil and uses 325 F. Please clarify 😅
I like walnuts. So, I put them in some baked goods.
Great Video, ALSO I hate nuts in my food. I like a Snickers or some roasted salted nuts but not in desserts or my food. Eww! Never thought I'd hear that on UA-cam lol.
It looks delicious 😋 but that Maple 🍁 syrup has a lot of sugar and carbohydrates 🤭😬
Blessings 💕🫶🍁
Because walnuts are good for the brain justin 👵🏾👵🏾👵🏾👵🏾
Haha well maybe that's my problem Nina :)
The skin of a walnut can be very toxic because it has a natural bug repellent in it
Would love measurements in grams😢😞
You have olive oil in your printed recipe!
What gives?
.

best to take "healthy" from heading, maple syrup is loaded with sugar - 50%
🍌🍞😋👍🏾👌🏾
Mine came out flat (ish) :(

Hi- follow the recipe here: cookingwithcoit.com/healthy-banana-bread/
Doesn't make sense 1/2 cup of olive oil... also he's not using it on the video but it's on the written recipe. 🤔
Please just answer the question. Oil or no oil? Come on!
But why you not showing us in video when you add oil, plz answer cuz we have confuse, video not showing oil at all
.
No oil or butter in the recipe
Why doesn't He Like Walnuts? How about Pecans from America?
Walnuts=brain food
I copied Ur recipe exactly, and it didn't rise and turned out dense 😢
Please dont tell me you spat out the banana bread while showing it off 😤
This was terrible
