- Welcome to Vlogmas 2023! I'm taking you along with me each day through December 25th. This year we are traveling full-time in our van! December is going to keep us in Florida, but there will be loads of interesting places that we see and of course knitting, crochet, Disney, and lots of Toaster! I've enjoy this week's Vlogmas very much. I lived in Islamorada (middle Keys) for 13 years. We left when we retired to Georgia.
I think you will like the buzz light-year movie it explains more about buzz and Zurg. I also appreciate that the yarn colors are not holiday specific.
Oh I’ve been to Sheep Thrills several times We live in NJ but that’s the store I go to when we’re down there. Such a great LYS and everyone has always been soo helpful!

I'm impressed with Kent's cooking! I'm certain after all the heavy food having a home cooked meal is such a treat.
Your Zoom meeting looked like fun. I am a new member but haven't ventured into the meetings yet. I am enjoying a new friend and new podcasts however. I do need to catch up before you visit my state!

i cant believe you were at sheep thrills, that's my local yarn shop!! but i am in mexico now. hope it was lovely!! i would have loved to have met you!! the ladies there are lovely! store looks great. i would love to go there more but i really spend most of my time in mexico now.

Yay, Toaster!!! I just love the name of the Sheep Thrills store! Clever! I just made an order from them.
Natalie, I just feel compelled to leave a constructive comment. I *really* wish that Vlogmas (not just you, but most of the Vlogmas channels) focused MUCH LESS on the yarn/knitting accessory advents. I mean, you have something like FIFTEEN advents when you count Toaster's and Kent's. It's TOO MUCH. I'm sure you realize that if you had bought all 10 of those knitting-related advents that it would have cost you well over $1000. It just reinforces the view that Americans are all about acquisition. You have other, more interesting, things to talk about. I see (mostly) the same advents being opened over and over and over on the various Vlogmases I watch, but you have the most, by far. Please keep this in mind for next year.
@shamszakhour6076 I'm on the opposite opinion, please don't look on that like arguing it's far by my intention, I hope I can add a different perspective! I really enjoying the abundance of different advents, because when knitters show one-two brands/dyers it leaves in me impression that some yarns are prioritized, favored on a commercial purpose. Like you said there are some that pop up almost in everyone Vlogmases, it's so obviously that people aren't mass bought it but it's a part of huge advertising campaign. At least Natalie gave tribune to various yarn dyers! Also agree with you that it's kinda boring that they all are US based, but I guess this is in support of the principle ''shop local''.
For me the whole meaning of Christmas is abundance! But I see from where your view point came and respect it! I hope you will understand me right! Happy holidays!
Sure, I understand,@@alekfelis ! I don't feel the same way, but I'm not hostile about it. I just prefer the Vlogmases that give us insight into their lives, traditions, and activities. One of my favorites is Arne and Carlos, and I'm not even knitting their socks. They are so sweet and really amuse me.
@@shamszakhour6076 Fair point! I see missed opportunity in showing more of the christmas decoration in different towns that they visited. Also I think me liking the abundance of advents is similar to these people who watch Shopping channel, it's definitely not for everyone taste. 😁
