OMG this this just amazingggg!! I so want to taste the chutney & simple aloo sabzi made by Keith.
btw, What was that "rassa" Ishaan cooked?
Okay so let me just say it & I hope Keith reads this...Thissss is not some random video where someone is trying different Indian dishes & sharing there expierence, but but but what Keith does is deep he has just got that...got that essence, depth of what indian cooking actually is!!!! The sabzis, masalas, marinations & tadkas is an emotion & the satisfaction you get while cooking the dishes is just pure bliss.
Okay so one more thing I so so want to tell people in abroad thinking that only samosas, chicken tikka masala, "Naan Bread"😅😉, is what Indians eat on daily basis is a big NO NO NO it is so much more than that...ohh god how do I explain & I want everyone to know this & Ketith is trying to do the same. Ummm like Naan, or chicken gravy, samosas, paani-puri or any other non-vegeratian items we do eat but not like "daily" daily...there are different sabzis like simple bindi, aloo or baingan sabji or daal, vegetable curries with wheat chapatis. Like this is our daily meal & you get every essential nutrient you need like protiens, vitamins for a healthy living & no extra supplements...it is just there; in that damn Thali!!!!! You eat it daily & all day.
Dear Keith I so want to make you try the traditional "kala masala chicken rassa" my mom cooks with bajra or jowar roti.(Breaking the roti in tiny little pieces in a plate with edge(typical Maharashtrian style) & then adding that warm curry in it with lemon sqeezed on it) & Mutton fry( Mutton tossed in sizzling hot thick semi gravy with lots of coriander on top of it) which my nani(maternal granny) cooks. Ohh man,,,,,,,, I'm just imagining you trying this & I wish this happens some day! And we are definitely cooking together some day! I bet you haven't had tried anything like that in this entire universe!!! Yes I actually mean it.
Lottttsssss of love to you Keith your work is appreciated :) Please I really want you to post every damn tiny little you have from this trip!
thank you.
We also proud of you keith keep it up
Ohh Keith, you should've shared your views as well🙃🥲
Cooking in a cooker and then TADKA, this aroma is part of life of all Indians in their kitchen. Great to see you CHEF.❤
Yes, you are right. It’s such a great aroma
cooking in cookers tell how fkd up things are in this country lol, cooking rice and others in rice and pressure cookers is the worst way to eat, they were never present and are not traditional
You're becoming a filmmaker, Keith. I'm honoured and absolutely glad to see this, and in some small way be a part of it. Relived and teared up, too. Fantastic, watched it twice!
Small part??! You did so much
Ur narrative is so soothing Kieth , welcome to my great country of culture tradition n spices India 🇮🇳
Thank you!
Really Support your passion for india. India is very deep in its cultural aspect anyone need a huge amount of time to deep dive in it..its like never ending journey.

Your videos feels me like reading a novel without a break ❤❤❤
Great video chef, and as always i love your narration ❤
Thanks so much for watching
The local markets contribute a major part for its diverse taste in indian cuisine. Fun fact the place where I come from (Tamilnadu) there's weekly markets that are kept on certain days of a week. The thing is you can find "santhai kadai" Aka market shops these are eateries that are set up at such weekly markets they cook everything in the market hot and fresh in the early morning, usually these dishes are always non vegetarian with rice and some curry.the cooking is very rustic. These probably originated to feed the hungry workers in old days where people used to travel a long way for markets to buy and sell. There's goat markets too that sell goats in lakhs and crores. Also I believe there's camel markets in the Northwest too
You even servvv the plate innathentic way ..impressed ❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much 😀
Im from Bandra west, Thank You for coming.
I loved it there!!!
This is so wholesome
🙏🏻
You are not just making videos you are doing great to showcase you chef experience, lovely to watch your upcoming video's
Thank you so much 🙂
@@chefKeithSarasin one advice from my side just contact any indian food show like tv channel and show your videos on it, fix the time for your episodes twice a week it will be great, I am saying coz you have deep knowledge of Indian spices or cooking 🍳 food as foreigners.
Just try one pickle. Take gooseberry immersed it in haldi and salt water. Keep it for 15 days. Gooseberry will be soaked in haldi and salt. It will be delicious to eat. Sourness of gooseberry will be vanished.😅
We Indians.... particularly Hindus pray for Goddess Annapurna, who we believe that Goddess of food....Mr. Chef you are basically understanding the very essence of respecting the food more than the presentation of food. Thus, in a way, you too are offering your prayers to Goddess Annapurna 🙏🙏🙏
Ty my friend.
Love the video Keith ❤
Ty for watching!!
Excellent
Chef... Can you plz share the recipe of the strawberry chutney? Looks 😍 thanx

@@chefKeithSarasin you deserve a lot of appreciation for your work.
You are the saviour of America.
Aha the bazaar in Bandra :) lovely!
Keith you should visit small towns in Kerala, were automation is extremely limited but the flavors from manual labour will take you heights that you can never imagine.
awwesomee
I am sure you’ve been here, but if you are in Delhi, you have to go to the spice market in Old Delhi or INA Markwt! The blends are bomb!
Incredible job chef!❤
Thank you 😋
That mutton is so unlike the eastern Indian color, looks like classical Marathi coconut based gravy. Yumm!
Yes, you are right
It is really the first time I watched a white man perfectly using the spices. I hope you love those flavours .
Very much. Ty
Nice 👍👍
Chef, I'm from Fairfax, VA. I was reading up on the American gooseberry and how it is nearly extinct. Please bring it and other native flora and fauna back with your knowledge of Indian cuisine. And ping me when you are in the DC neighborhood!! 🙂
Hey there. I have some farms that grow them but I agree. We need more!
Strawberry chutney and Tadka ! I am just thinking …
Hey love from Maharashtra,❤ if you are in Mumbai visit Pune, Nashik, Lonavala cities 😊. They are very close to Mumbai😊

If you are an Indian cuisine chef in true sense, you simply cannot ignore Kolkata, the City of Joy. If you seriously consider visiting my city, I'll be more than happy to show you around, as I am a foodie. 😊 I assure you, it will open a totally new dimension to your Indian food repertoire. 🙂😊😄

About the stare thing... I have heard the same thing in another foreigner vlog as well.. i mean not gonna lie... European caucasian origin people are so white its just mind boggling for a common brown person.. mostly who have never seen people of your skin color so often... I think i wouldn't be surprised to see a unicorn walking down the road the same way if i see you in front of me.. 😅😅😂
Hahahaha. Love this comment t. Fair point
Try mumbai chicken Hagandru

You deserve 101k 🌚
Ty my friend
Right back at you
@@chefKeithSarasin 😂
Non Veg is not cooked on Diwali day
First comment
Woooo
You should encourage no plastic use. Plastic bags are banned at many places.
I didn’t like the ending, I wish you could have continued and captured everyone reaction. 😊
I wish that too
Wait...your friends name is bj...😂😂...
I feel like you about not negotiating price, it seems greedy considering our comparative wealth levels but I'm told they don't respect you unless you do. I think I'd still take your line regardless. Those strawberries look closer to wild strawberries than the large commercial varieties we might be used to. I don't know if you have tried wild strawberries but they are far more tastier just small. They are in my own garden but the wildlife usually gets them before me. I'm thinking you need to build contacts on your trip so you can import what you want when you get home or find someone there that will shop for you now that you know which traders to buy from and what stuff you will use
Everyone was fine in terms of price. Felt respected and everyone was kind for sure
Why dont you visit northeast chef... 😊😊
Because I just did Mumbai this trip
Hope I can see ur northeast videos..
Take care of your health also 😢
In india hindi is the most spoken or even understood language , esp in mumbai.
Every state has state language, marathi is for Maharashtra. But Mumbai most likely they will understand hindi .
Yah many people did speak Hindi and it was nice to get to practice
@@chefKeithSarasin I am a mumbaikar and Hindi is most commonly spoken here. Even English and broken English they will understand I hope u have a great time here . 👍
Hello Bro
India is not = mumbai
You need to visit other cities too.
Even we indians are not eating Mumbai food .
Your hardwork is wasting your time in the mumbai
Try to connect nearest cities like pune or kolhapur
Of course. I went here because my teacher is here and I got to spend time with him.

You are!
@@chefKeithSarasin you are!!!
Keith is not fat. He is filled with real telent and taste
And fat
A bit of a backward insult or complement! But seriously Keith stay healthy, that food shouldn't need to be unhealthy.
You should really try home cooked veg meal, that people eat everyday. Try maharashtrian and gujurati meals, since you are in Mumbai.
The fish is just freaking awesome!!!!!!! The entire coast of maharashtra has some unique fish flavor..both curry and fried …. Just freaking awesome
Check the other videos :) I did.
Quick question about home cooking, do you tend to cook for each mealtime or do you cook with the view of something lasting more than one meal.
