    The red and black power ports are called Anderson Power Poles.
    They make several different configurations depending on voltage and amperage.
    Used extensively in Ham Radio.

      I mentioned the Anderson name in the video, but Thanks Ken

    Very interesting product! I Noticed your AC unit is an LG check your model number some of those were recalled....they catch on fire!!!

      This is the one that catches fire. That recall was about mm...10years ago. The unit and me were in Central America at that time. Never did get it back for the recall. Home Depot sold it to me. Thanks James !

    ive seen it take up to 446 w on the anderson, i dont know it it takes more i olny have 1 solar panel at 550w minus 20 percent efficency im probably at the limit of the solar panel lol

    I have the same. Is it normal that fans start even with the smallest of energy consumption? I connected to AC an electric blanket to the minimum and it consumes around 20W. The fans kick in right away and never shut down. They are so loud all night.

    • @SirTools
      @SirTools  9 місяців тому

      Running the AC on most of them gets the fan running to cool the inverter. The Allpowers R600 has a quiet one that I did a show about months back. Color was beige instead of gray. There is more coming in for reviews and I'll address that noise from now on.

    Really nice unit. They should have a handle and wheels on it and make them stackable so you could put a couple on top of each other and wheel them all around.
    Biggest complaint about ALL of this solar stuff....Why are the damn solar panels so expensive? The 400w solar panel is MORE than the whole unit! I just don't get that. Pack the 400w panel with this and make it $1000 not over $1500. Solar is great but man they have to bring those prices down a TON.

    • @SirTools
      @SirTools  Рік тому

      The prices are shocking at retail. I'd think if they have a sale it would level the playing field a bit more.

    When i turn it on it begins charging by solar and using at the same time to power on(pass thru) a laptop, once vtoman fully charges to 100 percent the solar stops charging and it just keeps going down and even if at 30 percent the solar never kicks in, i have to shut it off completely and then the solar chargers begins to charge again. If i ony turn off the ac, the capactiy blinks as if it were charging but always shows000 watts going in. Anyone have this problem or solution? thanks

    I wish there were more options outside of solar like turbines ect that could charge these stations, solar is too seasonal and temperamental to be the only free energy….

    I've had one of these (now two) for a bit over a month. Love the specs and features but both units won't charge properly from two 100w panels wired in series that are putting out 47.5 voc (at peak output measured on my meter). The company has been very responsive and sent me a replacement unit, but the replacement unit is having the same issue of working sometimes and then just not charging. Please wire this up to a couple of panels wired in series and leave it on the charging for a week and see what happens (my first one failed after about 10 days the second failed after one day). ua-cam.com/users/shortsl2o0M6S4DPE?feature=share

      Glad you mentioned this. I used the DC 12 input from my 200 watt system and about 10hrs later. I noticed on the 400watt solar if the voltage was too low there were issues and I can only wire up to 36 volts at 460 watts without some serious work on the roof. NOT happening LOLOL. I'll keep checking over the weeks and see what happens.

    Would not recommend this one at all. Bought it in late July or early august and have been testing various products to plug in. Small vacuum and usb fans and lights. It has QUIT. The week before I go full time vanlife. So I’m stuck without a power station and no help from VTOMAN AT ALL!! Do not buy this one. If you can keep it charging by ac can you imagine trying solar or anything like that!!! IT WILL NOT WORK AT ALL. THROWING A 03 flashing. HELP!!! Please!!

      WoW, this is almost odd. I'm using the VTOMAN for our Christmas displays and charging with solar and no issues. Maybe contact VTOMAN and see about a warranty, we've had no issues with it mm...

    Did you get this for free??? Or did you actually play your hard working dollars on it? I actually spent $4000 buying two of them and two extra batteries. When I got them they did not work as described from the manual. I asked the company to return my money and send me return labels. They are give me the runaround. I would highly suggest nobody purchase this unit or the extra batteries!

      No free lunch here. Sorry to hear this, but I can only guess what you mean by "did not work as described" Fact is we have had "other" units come in that would not charge and ended up returning them with "NOPE" , no show. Our studio cost runs about $600 per episode and I spend several days going over specs and tests. Hope you can get that mess refunded. Our own VTOMAN is still working here running a display each day at 385 watts and seems to be fine. "Others" have failed mmm..

      @omm7763 What are they telling you? I am receiving my unit today, I didn't see anything about this issue until after mine was shipped. They tell me they can fix it with software, but they told someone else it can't be fixed and offered him a small refund.

      LIke I said, no issues with the unit. Other brands , we've got in there has been 3 failures, but nothing with VTOMAN.
