Was just there this past wkend. Did a solid 14-15 miles. Some tough climbs there. Middle Steer Ridge is steeeeeep. Such a beautiful place this time of year. I’ll be back again once there are more spring flowers.
Chill trip there Rod, enjoyed that video. Got to say I’m a bit envious of your weather there 🇺🇸 it’s been pretty bleak here 🏴 of late. Starting to get back out now though after a lengthy layoff. All the best man.
Ey thanks for watching! I saw you posted a video recently. I'll finish watching it soon. Pack rafting looks like so much fun! We're going to get another spell of storms here soon. Been trying to get out between storms before I get busy.
Love your videos. My favorite spot is Henry Coe is Kelly lake. Im thinking of hiking up to Coit on my next trip. In your experience how is the fishing at Coit?
Thanks a lot! I appreciate that. I've been having a tough time at Coit lately. There's not a lot of access points with all the reeds and other plants around. I caught some huge crappie before on the north side and smaller bass on southeast side.
I usually toss and turn on the ground and end up on my side but in the hammock it like conforms to your body like a soft burrito cocoon. It's glorious. I usually don't even need a pillow most of the time. You can maneuver to side sleep in a hammock too.
Good question. I shoot way too much video. Mostly because I go solo. I have a 256GB microSD card in the DJI Action 4. That will hold over 5 hours of 4k30 footage. I'll usually use about half of it. So a couple of hours of footage. I bring one spare battery and usually still need to charge with the battery bank. I shoot at 4k30 because the workflow is way faster with DaVInci Resolve. I have a batch script that repurposes the generated preview video the DJI Action 4 creates. I use those preview clips to edit faster on my potato computer. When it's time to render, it uses the full 4k30 clips.

Nice! Yeah it's great out there now.
Tremendous. Subbed and love from Canada!
Thanks a lot!

I'd love to try a hammock but I can't sleep on my back hah.

Wow, the whole box of girl scout cookies. Lol
I couldn't help it with Tagalongs. They're so good. 😁
Hi Mr Rod, may I ask how much video storage you take on each trip and do you record in 4k 60hz?
