When it's hot outside it's normal the motors feel warm, and as long as they are just warm and not hot it'll be ok. 2) Too enable bi-directional d-shot you need to flash your esc's have you done that? I was planning on removing them too. I'm not a big fan of leds on drones either, but I eventually kept them because they do act as race wire, so in a crash if the prop hit the top of the arm no wires can be damaged, and there wasn't much of a weight difference between the leds or using actual wires.

I like the 3s bouncy freestyle at the end! The stock rates feels really low especially on the 2s video footage though. Would you adjust the rates at all or you wouldn't worry about that until an upgrade? Also 200mW for the VTX is a bit weak as you go further than 100m the video gets bad real quick. @@m34nb34n I've got a solutionfor the cam problem, check the vid from 8.30. The motors aren't bad no, this drone flies good and has good flight time. But they are also very heavy. The screw holes for t-style mount props don't line up, so the only thing holding your prop onto the motor is the friction between the shaft and the prop. There's a big chance of bending the thin shaft in a crash if you can't screw the prop on, because all the force of the impact will go through the shaft instead of being distributed over the entire motor bell. I'd say fly them till you brake them and then replace with some good quality motors.
It's a frsky R-XSR, but I upgraded it to elrs. What radio do you have or what protocol do you like to fly with? I would recommend elrs ep2 or a tbs nano, but you'd need a elrs or tbs module for those.
@@SquareOneFPV im new to the hobby, but does it include a radio in the drone? Or do I have to bye one? And idk what I prefer to fly with, I just want something that works and is not to expensive😅
Alright, welcome to fpv 👍😃. So the radio ( or controller) is the part you hold in your hands to control the drone. The receiver is the part that's in the drone that receives the instructions from you radio. Do you already have a radio? Each brand uses it's own method of communication, but there are also multi protocol radio's that support muliple protocols. you'll have to drill the motors holes in the frame and led strip ( it runs to the end of the arm and is sandwiched between the motor and the arm).
Holes are 1.5mm 🙄🙄 for the stock motors.
I've just cut of the piece of led strip that's underneath the motor, and afterwards taped it to the arm so it stays in place.
Yes 3s no problem 😅👍
@@SquareOneFPV i was 98g 2s 550 8700kv. Give 27 amp 2.5 inch at 64k rpm. So 3s 6000kv 66k rpm. Should be around 30 amp. I will lose efficiency at hover (38g 4 motor when 1104 are. 22g for 4. ) But will gain efficiency on power demand due to larger bell so more tork available
@@SquareOneFPV later gonna swap frame of the ape it it prove to be too fragile to go for 130mm 3mm carbon
@@sunoncream1118 Ok I went the other way, shaved about 10gr of if I remember correctly, swapped the vtx for a tbs pro 32 nano, camera for a cadx ant or lite(not sure), and motors for 1104's limited to 6000kv, still fly it on 3s 300mah.
@@sunoncream1118 yes it's thin!
Can i use 1500mah 25c 3s battery?
I guess you could, but wouldn't recommend it, that's really a LOTT of weight your going to put on top of it. I've flown it with 3s 650mah and it was fine, motors not even running hot. It's definitely not going to be agile anymore are you planning on using it for long range? And this drone has an xt 30 connector, that battery will probably have an xt 60, so soldering will be required if that's the case.
What is the top speed of this drone in 2s mode ?
This drone hasn't got gps so I can't say exactly. It's still pretty fast for a 3" on 2S in my opinion. I notice the difference going from 2S to 3S more when doing a punch out, then in outright top speed.
how do i connect a remote ?
There's no receiver included so you have to buy it yourself.
@@SquareOneFPV Yeah whats work with them ?
@@Nebular03 Main question is what works with your radio ( remote ). Every (FPV) receiver will work, but each manufacturer uses it's own protocol. And you should choose accordingly.
So the main question is what protocol(s) does your radio support?
For example:
when I first got it I've put a FRSKY R-XSR receiver in it so I needed to have a FRSKY radio ( or a multi protocol radio that supports FRSKY).
Now I've put an ELRS receiver in it, and I have to use an ELRS module in my radio to be able to communicate with the receiver.
I hope this clears things up bit for you.
What radio do you have?
Know what you mean about the package in the mail and knowing what it is! Only problem is my Mrs can recognise a packaged drone now!
Came here from banggood!
I need a new drone and this looks pretty good, not much more than the cost to repair 1s I have! And looks cheap to repair.
Thanks for posting the vid buddy. Got my sub 👍
Haha, yeah mines developed a 6th sense for drone packages 🤣.
A,d yes it's very good, excellent fun to cost ratio! I'm actually still flying this thing, even though I got 5"ers and drones with digital vtx, that's really saying something.
ya i know its too draggy and too lighwheight.. put 1404 and 850 mah 3s tatu ^^ should be nice XD
mod pls
😀 It's coming. I just need to do some more testing.
dont put 300mah on this kuad XD my 2s 98g in fly was 550mah 2s hv... this kuad end at wath? 114g with 3s 550? ok u have room .. swap motor and give him a 850 mah tatu ^^
3 dollar brushless motors it really is garbage save some money and get something better
