David hi Could you help me I have qx95 binded to jumper t lite I also have an old clean flight version connects ok my channels all over the place I have only flown toy grade this my 1st proper drone if you could help id approximate it receiver is dms2 thank you if you have no time no worries.
about the weight. in the page you showed, its the version with tri props and the caddx nano. so not that misleading.
Very nice build. Making the standoffs shorter should save weight too, and it would look even better imo.
3 Year anniversary of this video and your support.. You still flying? I haven't been as much, many laws came in the last 3 years. Hope your having fun...🍻
Hi what props is beter for this dron plz?
That’s a brando hahahah. Yeah it can be so nerve racking but you killed it
Great video! Thanks!! You have a new subscriber!
compliments for the video. I wanted to ask you something: is it true that after a while the bell slips and the ex0802 engine stops?
What 850 mah batterybdid you use?
love the battery strap mod. i have a bunch of the same 850 4s tattu and i will definitely implement that
thanks man, nice job, what is the antenna upgrade? i want to do it, any manual or video how to change it? thanks again
also de props i would like to change them :)
Hey brother that’s a great idea I was like where did he get that mount and then you were like it’s a zip tie lol great stuff man keep it up
i have a mobula 6 i have bought the run cam split 3 coz i want good picture for my youtube channel i want to strt
Got your link of banggood as was looking at this still looks cool now
Yes it does, great little drone!
How did you get the vibrations under control? Other than filters of course.
It's because it's indoor and low light, outside on a sunny day it does get jello.
My fpv feed breaks up at about 50 meters on 350 mw, is this normal? Help would be much appreciated. 👍
Nice build, i love they Ti Screws nice touch !
Thanks man, the titanium screws were a must to get it sub 250gr, with an 850 lipo :)
Where did you get they Ti screws buddy ??
got them from here : titaniumraceparts.nl/product-category/bout/m3/ if you don't live in europe, maybe it's better to source them locally, I even think you can get them on ali.
I’ve seen several people use dental floss, I use to think it was a joke. My dad works on nasa aircraft and told me they use string and special knots to tie wires, and dental floss is legit for quads. The more u know 🎉
I saw Mr ShutterBug use dental floss, been using it ever since, it's weighs next to nothing, and is incredibly strong, didn't know these techniques were also used in more serious environments, thanks man!
Nice video. Thanks. About the weight - it’s because you use hd version. That’s why it’s about 140 grams. If you choose the analog one - it would be 120 gram exactly) But I don’t think it’s a minus of cinelog 25. Only wrong description by the sellers. I’ve just bought the analog. Everything is starting))
Love the jams man!!! Do I think the jello is result of the camera being too sensitive with light or vibrations in the quad? I have this same issue
Do you have to solder before you fly?
Do you recommend tattu R line batteries as a better option to choose? I think 650mah is nice and better than 550mah. Do you also suggest a 750 or even a 850mah to use? Especially if combined with a lighter camera such as Insta 360 or Runcam thumb.
I like the 3s bouncy freestyle at the end! The stock rates feels really low especially on the 2s video footage though. Would you adjust the rates at all or you wouldn't worry about that until an upgrade? Also 200mW for the VTX is a bit weak as you go further than 100m the video gets bad real quick. What is the optimal VTX output for that drone with that small size?
I soldered thumb cam to my moblite7. Works fine. Can I solder on top of the same pads this ep2 elrs ? Or is it too much? Will i burn something or it won't have enough power?
Buon gg come posso collegare gps a Darwin ape? Se ho solo 2 porte grazie a tt Florence italy
Defintely would love to see this modded! I'm going to try to build one with a caddx vista
Thanks for nice review. We definitelly want to see your mods and ideas on this one. It’s very cool little drone. I am considering to buy it with EV800D googles and make a “budget fpv kit”. Peace & happy flying for everyone! ✌️
Just got my baby ape pro for my birthday just set it up an had a test hover in my basement looking really good 👍 nice video btw flying style is a ok 👌
Bit late but happy birthday 🎂 🥳! That's an awesome present, enjoy buddy. And thanks man 😃
Someone has also problems with the VTX ? I normally fly on channel A8, but there is no video on that channel. I can see something on channel A7, but only for a couple of meters. Any suggestions ?
Interesting🤔 I had quit the opposite effect when it came to efficiency on my inverted 85mm cine-whoops (all 3 or 4 bladed propellers!). My only viable inverted build was a ultralight 75mm with the highest weight to thrust ratio of all. Must say, that one flew like a dream and had almost the same efficiency as when flying it non-inverted. Next time I’ll definitely install 2 bladed props and do a more scientific test 📈 Love your content 👍
First of all, thank you very much 🙂. I've never tested it on anything bigger then whoops. Are they ducted cinewhoops, because that will have a influence on performance when flipping motors upside down. Chris Rosser actually briefly mentioned the benefits of inverted drones in one his early video's but I can't find the part anymore, it's like a 30 second part of a 20 minute video 😅. I think the best thing for me about inverted whoops is the weight distribution, putting the battery on top makes it feel different in the air, less pendulum effect. Too bad I don't much time for YT anymore, would love to do this one again, but A little bit better, like taking the pidloop out of the equation ( big mistake in that vid 🙄 sorry) Edit: haha net gezien dat je een Nederlander bent, groetjes uit Belgie :p
dont put 300mah on this kuad XD my 2s 98g in fly was 550mah 2s hv... this kuad end at wath? 114g with 3s 550? ok u have room .. swap motor and give him a 850 mah tatu ^^
ya i know its too draggy and too lighwheight.. put 1404 and 850 mah 3s tatu ^^ should be nice XD
i think u should upgrade ur description to give a part list on waths on the kuad... (could help people buy spare part or buy direct upgrade bfore getting the ape)
is it usefull to get rid of led on motor arm? i kinda dont care flying a christmas tree and i dont like shorthen motor wire to leve them 1 centimeter only...
I was planning on removing them too. I'm not a big fan of leds on drones either, but I eventually kept them because they do act as race wire, so in a crash if the prop hit the top of the arm no wires can be damaged, and there wasn't much of a weight difference between the leds or using actual wires.
as soon i reiceive it i swap shit motor whit bad hole for prop screw for some emax 1404 6000kv and gonna use gemfan flash 2540 prop on it.. should go 3s no problem..
yeah you could do that, replaced mine with betafpv 1103 8000kv ( mostly fly with a throttle limit not to blow up an esc :). I went the lighter route because this is a very small and light build 3 inch. The frame is very thin and so are the arms, the more weight you add the bigger the impact energy, and I'm afraid you will be replacing arms a lot... you'll have to drill the motors holes in the frame and led strip ( it runs to the end of the arm and is sandwiched between the motor and the arm). Holes are 1.5mm 🙄🙄 for the stock motors. I've just cut of the piece of led strip that's underneath the motor, and afterwards taped it to the arm so it stays in place. Yes 3s no problem 😅👍
@@SquareOneFPV i was 98g 2s 550 8700kv. Give 27 amp 2.5 inch at 64k rpm. So 3s 6000kv 66k rpm. Should be around 30 amp. I will lose efficiency at hover (38g 4 motor when 1104 are. 22g for 4. ) But will gain efficiency on power demand due to larger bell so more tork available
@@SquareOneFPV later gonna swap frame of the ape it it prove to be too fragile to go for 130mm 3mm carbon
@@sunoncream1118 Ok I went the other way, shaved about 10gr of if I remember correctly, swapped the vtx for a tbs pro 32 nano, camera for a cadx ant or lite(not sure), and motors for 1104's limited to 6000kv, still fly it on 3s 300mah.
@@sunoncream1118 yes it's thin!
No need usb adapter: 1) You can easy cut off usb plug sides. 2) You can rotate duct to have more space.
Hi man, thanks for sharing. Didn't know about rotating the ducts, going to try that!

Awesome, thanks man! 👊🏼👍
Hello, there is a problem with my isdt air 8 charger. When I plug the power supply to the charger, the screen of the charger moves by itself, the function keys do not work, can you help me?
Hi, sorry to hear that, that's the first I here of problems with this charger. I can't really help you with this. I tried looking for how to firmware reset one of these online, but there's not much to be found... And it kinda sounds like a hardware problem. Best to try and contact ISDT or the store you bought it from. Hope you can get it fixed, replaced or refunded buddy, sorry I can't help you better, goodluck.
Is thermal glue the same as antenna glue ?
Hi, no it isn't, antenna glue can take the heat a vtx produces.
Thank you going to do this with mine! How is it holding up ?
hi, it's holding up great. I've been flying a naked vista for almost 2 years now in my sub 250 3 inch. It's been though many MANY crashes ( I think I'm on the 3rd frame now :) and the vista is still working perfect. Maybe I've just been lucky...
Hello I am looking to buy a baby ape pro V2 "3, but I don't have goggles or a controller yet. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks👌👍
Yes!
This guy gets it! 😆👍👊🏼
I did the strap and longer antenna mods. Thanks for the tips!
Thats great, you're welcome 👍👊🏼
I tried soldering for the first time, first I knocked the vtx out, then I brought it back but broke a wire. Re-soldered that whole motor and vtx went out again. Also the startup-sound only played the first few notes. Did I overheat the board? Did powering the whoop with an accidental bridged pad (that I may not have noticed) cause it?
Sounds like my first soldering experience 😆, it's ok you'll get better at it. I believe first few sounds are for the fc starting the last ones are esc's starting... so yes esc's are probably fried, due too overheating, soldering on such small pads has to be fast, because the heat transfers to nearby components very very fast. On tinywhoops I put my soldering iron on 300 to 340°C and I try not to touch the pad longer then 2 seconds. -Pre tin both the pad and wire -Give the board a second after pre tinning -Hold the wire onto the pad -use flux if you have it -hold the wire onto the pad -clean iron tip and put a tiny bit of solder on it -now solder! The wire should be soldered onto the pad almost instantly. -when done soldering, clean the board with isopropyl alcohol and tootbrush to make sure there no small solder residue that could cause issues.
@@SquareOneFPV wow, super helpful! Thanks for the tips! Definitely need to focus on being quick with the heat
really enjoyable presentation! subscribed!
Thanks, appreciate it!
Can i use 1500mah 25c 3s battery?
I guess you could, but wouldn't recommend it, that's really a LOTT of weight your going to put on top of it. I've flown it with 3s 650mah and it was fine, motors not even running hot. It's definitely not going to be agile anymore are you planning on using it for long range? And this drone has an xt 30 connector, that battery will probably have an xt 60, so soldering will be required if that's the case.
