Thank you for reviewing this laptop sir. I really like this laptop despite the high cons you just mentioned. Hopefully i can win the giveaway for me to finally try and do AutoCad, Solidworks and Blender. I am a Second year college Mechanical engineering and i needed a laptop. Thank you Sir!
Finally someone realized all devices should have a high refresh rate regardless of their specs. I've been asking for it for years now. The reason is very simple: besides the UI being smoother in general, when it comes to gaming, the games you would need a high refresh rate for aren't demanding most of the time. They're basically e-sports or other light games that can reach more than 100 FPS in modern integrated graphics.
@@MandoMTL I haven't found too many tests of this GPU in particular, but I assume it might struggle to keep above 100fps in League at 1080p. At 720p it could work. I don't know though, what I'm sure about is it will move at least close to that number. I have seen a test of Rocket League, which is a bit more demanding than League of Legends as a general rule, and it ran at 120fps on 720p lowest settings, but I think it was using the resolution scaler.
@@alfalfamojica3972 yeah, the unit that was released here in Philippines does not come with 144hz, so they kinda got me there cause their resellers advertised here in PH that it comes with 144hz

Random question, but what are you using to measure NITS on all the products that you review? The dedicated devices that provide values in that unit seem to be very expensive and specialized. Cheap devices measure light in LUX.
They should have gone with a 60Hz screen with 300 nits instead of 144Hz and added in a MX250 entry level dedicated graphics for some casual gaming with old titles. I like how they provide easy access to RAM and drive upgrade.
I would run it at 60hz to save battery. Just like I do with my smartphone most of the time. Coming from someone who only accepts high framerates while gaming...
@@martinantelo7086 well It took me few minutes to get used to 120 FPS on my mobile, now i can't look at it while it's in 60 FPS (durning animations etc.). Kinda wreid as my PC monitors are 60 and 75 FPS.

Allow me to disagree, I own the Chuwi Corebook X (same CPU but using a 3:2 14" display) and I just installed Windows 11 directly from the official ISO from Microsoft AND also via the modded ISO from Ghost Spectre and it runs flawlessly. There isn't even need to backup or download any drivers as Windows Update gets them automatically from the net. Hope this helps!
recently i found an cheap notebook.mediacom sbook one4 for just 369 euros but not sure if worth it for the price maybe you made an review or in the future?
Chris, thank you for this review. Chuwi was planning to release a fanless laptop Larkbook X in mid August. Would be nice if you could review it once it's available.
I don't think Chuwi can design anything real. They also have a marketing problem were they like to mislead buyers with their bezel sizes. The only things I see good on this LT in the battery and the port placement. The 2 access bays are nice. Not sure why they need 2 fans to cool a single chip when they can route the 2nd heat pipe to a corner fan so you have 2 vents, 1 rear and 1 side. Does it have stereo sound, or is the 2nd speaker port just a cut out without a speaker, cough Chuwi HiPad X cough.
Hi there. Looking at this Chewi core book X Pro or the 14" Chewi core book X. The wife 6 on the Corebook X seems to be a bigger draw. Also been looking at the Asus Duo book i5 as on offer at the moment. What are your thoughts? Cheers, Simon. 1Pizza2Many You Tube Channel.
Yes they had many adobe 72%+ displays and now 144hz 50% Adobe RGB.... It's like they got a gaming laptop and went with the Core i5 8259U instead of the dedicated GPU set up it was mean to come with.
commendable that Chuwi stays with their design philo which sets them apart from other vendors, crazy display at an affordable price. back then they are more hardcore by using Intel Atom chips with good displays. I think the fast display is still of value for office tasks and old PC games. my only criticism is the 16:9 aspect display ratio which is pretty common and less useful for work and not as rare as the 16:10 or 3:2 they employ on some of their laptops
This is the cheapest 144hz laptop I've seen and it's significantly cheaper than gaming laptops. To me, the screen's refresh rate is it's biggest selling point. Not a bad deal at it's normal price but I still wouldn't get it.
