You’re misunderstanding Axonil’s ability. It only increases dmg dealt to opponents. Not creatures as well.

What are your thoughts on running sword of fire and ice or sword of war and peace in this deck?

That's an excellent idea. Giving protection, a buff, and the abilities of the swords, especially fire and ice.
