Honestly Rick. It is enjoyable to watch. Not the bad golf part. But the fact that a crappy high teens handicapper like me does the same thing that the guy I watch to get tips from. Just like me, you get frustrated, you get rush(y) with your swings, you make odd decisions trying to make up for your bad ones, and last you play golf like a human being. I have learned one thing and well pretty much one thing only this year (picking golf back up in my mid 30's with a slew of injuries and issues). Sometimes mid round, you just have to stop take a couple breaths, stretch a few muscles and take your swing back to the basics with a very slow back swing. Not to mention the 80 tips I'm still trying to get down that I've gathered from your videos. Watching this type of video has done nothing but up my respect factor for you. Can't wait to watch the rest of the series!

Rick, this is such a service to new golfers like me. I started playing a year ago, and my goal was to break 90 by now. Even though I'm consistently in the 90's it FEELS like I've regressed and gotten worse, so I know EXACTLY how you felt on EVERY shot of this round. So 3 takeaways for me:
    (1) you may have been boiling inside, but your outward expression was quite good for being so far off your best
    (2) if I scored +12 I'd be happy as a puppy with two peters, so it's all down to perspective and
    (3) you didn't bail on that round (as I tend to do as soon as I have a bad hole) which is (a) a waste of a round for myself and (b) ruins it for anyone playing with me.
When I think of the rounds I've wasted doing the OPPOSITE of what you've done here, I want to give up the game...but seeing how you went about it here, from this day forth, I can turn it around, follow your example and never waste another round again.
    Thank you!

I’ve been struggling with this a lot too and when you go back you open the face wide open almost and if your hands don’t flip in the most perfect way at the bottom, then there will be very inconsistent results. Especially in tournament or stressful conditions, flipping is not as a reliable way to swing than rotating and keeping the face square

Dear Rick, Just wanted to say THANKS for showing this. Social media these days is so polished and people need to be better at sharing when shits happens and that is what you do!
Not everyone comes to see 300+ yard drives in to perfect positions all the time, golf is a process, and Break75 shows this very clearly! Respect!

I love your channel and have been enjoying everything. Learning loads so I can break 100. I love this episode most because you show that even good golfers have bad days, so I can't get too hard on myself. I will say that I watched your episodes about chipping and not using your wrists, but it seemed that you used your wrists greatly on this course. I can't wait for the episode where you break 70! Great stuff and thanks for what you do.

Watching you recap the round is fun to watch! Interesting to hear what is going through your head for each shot. How much fun will it be to watch the replay video when you do break 75! Go Rick Go!

This is what makes this channel so good. You are prepared to show a round which went wrong. You could of easily hit delete and not shown it. Just makes us amateur players feel good. A bad day does happen to the Pros every now and then. Keep up the great content.

Thanks Rick, you are an amazing golfer and very inspiring. I struggle the most with the putter and the way you aggressively run at each hole is something I strive for every round.

I can’t say that I enjoyed it, but boatloads of respect for putting it up for us to watch and learn. And while your frustration was obvious, you didn’t whine, cuss, or stamp your feet like some of my playing partners have. Respect.

This video is the is one of the reasons we are subscribers, down to earth, honest and heartful. As a pretty lackluster golfer, this video gives me enthusiasm to go back to the golf course and enjoy the game.

Hi Guy and Rick! I had a round eerily similar to this earlier this year, with back to back shanks out of nowhere on a par 3. I managed to beat you by carding and 8. 😂 What a game! Thanks for all the content you guys bring, wildly entertaining and relatable. Simply class!

Thanks for sharing Rick. Class act. I found myself last week lined up for an 8 foot Eagle putt. Slight pull left, which I am ok with. Then rushed my 1.5 footer for Birdie and missed. Heart breaking....The game of golf. She giveith, and she takeith away. Keep the videos coming. Love em!

And the way you played hole 16 is what keeps you coming back. The funny thing is you feel like you played your worse game but I would be thrilled to score an 83. I love watching your content. Thank you for putting it out there for us, and massive respect for showing the bad shots and not editing it out.

Rick appreciate you sharing these break 75 rounds. Strange thing is I am normally a 85 - 92 golfer and I recently shot the best rounds of my life recently. 78 and had 3 - three putts. This was my 2nd round of the season in Canada. Golf is a very strange game, but it we love it. It is the stories that come out of it that make us smile and continue to come back day after day. You will break 75 this year.

I love how you show that everyone has a bad day. I just played my first varsity tournament today and played the worst golf that I’ve ever played. I was really disappointed because I had played some of the best gold of my life in the rounds right before today. And then I completely lost it. Thank you for showing that it’s not just me and for being a positive person even when you don’t play how you want!

Thanks Rick! We all have those days and we don’t have 2 people watching! 😜 all kidding aside, golf is an evil game that makes no sense. That’s why we love it. You could easily edit these videos and shoot par, but like a true golfer, you have integrity, and we admire you for that. Chop away young man, and the game, she will repay you.

This shows that no matter the standard of golfer, we all have the same issues with nerves and letting a bad couple of holes get inside your head and ruin a round. Great content as always Rick. If I could offer any advice it would be just enjoy it. Look around, it's a beautiful day, breathtaking scenery and a great couse. Life is good.

Rick ,appreciate the honesty of this video. Anyone who has played golf for any length of time can relate. Danny Willett won the Masters and then lost form. Glad to see him regain his form. You're a good player. Good players also have coaches because they need an extra set of eyes. I have been a subscriber for awhile. From early on there were two aspects of your game that I noticed. You flare the club open on your backswing (similar to what Danny Willett used to do), which could be the culprit behind the shanks. That's a lot of rotation of the club face in order to square it up at impact. As you say, you are not a shanker. Butflaring the cub open on the backswing can lead to inconsistency both left and right. This is a minor point. A more important observation is related to your putting stance. You appear to be standing way too close to the ball when you putt. Please see this video which explains what I am talking about.

I recently have come down with what I can only describe as the “chip shanks” and can not figure out what’s is happening! It’s so very frustrating!! Love the content mate!! Keep up the fantastic work!! We love you for it!!!

WOW! what do you say to that... You are a very humble and gracious person for putting that out there. But as you commentate your own "bad" round, you still have a positive and upbeat attitude which in my opinion, makes you a great host (not necessarily golfer) of the channel/show which is informative and entertaining.
However, you made a comment on your first "break 75" round that I related to so well and contemplated about myself in several areas/hobbies in my life as well. You said "it's almost slightly worrying disconcerting that maybe this is the standard golfer I am. Maybe I don't shoot under par." I play a lot of sports and do a lot of competitive activities, but I have never focused on one and just poured myself into it. I prefer to do many things, but the results are not typically performing above "average" in any of them. I get frustrated at that fact, but also contemplate, what if I focused on one activity/hobby and became great at it, would that be for fulfilling? I don't think so, but it can be frustrating at times.

Rick can i just thank you for showing this episode of break 75, i have just returned from my Saturday round of golf being the 1st round of club championships, i play off 6 and so wanted a good 1st round, starting with 5 straight pars and feeling really good and confident to playing the last 13 holes a mere 19 over, this is my golf just lately, now, watching your round and not to be taking the micky but its just made me realise that THIS IS GOLF, you changed my day going from pissed off to thinking mmmmm im not the only one out there suffering,,LOL, by the way please indulge me of having just a very very small chuckle at the shanks,,,maaaannn those things seem to come from out of nowhere and always when ya just dont need em,,,,CHEERS from the Barossa Valley in South Australia.
