InCREDible!!! 63 yr old here remembering when I 1st heard "Frampton Comes Alive" in 1976. I've been a big Frampton fan ever since. TY for the music, Peter! 🎉
It seems it’s still a whole lot of Framption fans around and still loving his music, despite his known condition the man is still stroking and playing his guitar 🎸 fabulous for us old kids
I had the pleasure of seeing Peter Frampton play live after he was invited up on stage by the house band at a pub in my hometown of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, UK the evening of my wedding to my first wife in May 1996, such a great musician and to boot he bought me and my bride a bottle of Champagne to celebrate our wedding day. It does not get any better than that!
I seen Peter Frampton play in New Brunswick, Canada, about 1998.It was a big rock festival with all kinds of bands like heart Lynyrd Skynyrd. He was one of the big ones 1 night.I was there for 2 nights. It was incredible. It was one of the biggest rock shows I've ever been to and it was fantastic. And that's all I gotta say and thank you.He is a rock icon. There's no questionable doubt. And I love his music.Great guitarist. That's all I have to say
Compared to the original live version this is truly right up there with it. A genius. A man who needs to more recognition. He's heading off the road for good because of issues with his hands. Truly an end to era.
Damn it, I hadn't heard that. I'll have to find the story. I wonder if he's still touring, your comment was 2 years ago. So sad if he's not, what a great live performer.
I got his "Alive" album as a going away gift before I was shipped out to Parris Island in '76 I was 18, I never got a chance to listen to it, my sister still has it, unopened.
Frampton Comes Alive That album, is the number one, all time best selling album ever recorded. No other artist, not even Elvis Presley or Micheal Jackson can even come close. Saw PF at the Oak Mountain Amphitheater in Birmingham, Alabama around the same year. He absolutely murdered that guitar. Got to see it with my younger brother.
and they say, the older you get you lose your touch.........BS, almost as good as he was in 1977. And he still plays with no sound effects added........Old but still a great player.......I know, i am 76........cannot ever stop anyone who has it.....bully Mr. Peter Frampton. doc, tx.
I saw Peter Frampton live in the early 2000s at the Paul Masson Mountain Winery in Saratoga, CA and this video reflects that experience perfectly. What a wonderful experience. The guy is an oldie but goodie, and boy, he can play guitar...
Don't get me wrong I am a crazy huge fan but his sound is NOT THE SAME as it was in 77. I play guitar. I think he sounds too "Processed" now. Back then he was using tube amps with rotating Leslie speakers. A very raw "Real" sound. Maybe he still is using tube amps? But his sound is different. Back in the day he had a wonderfully unique double chorus on his treble. It was a unique entirely identifiable "Sound". It was his sound. I could pick it out anywhere. Like on Lines On my face lead solo. He doesn't sound like that anymore. Or maybe it is just these shitty UA-cam videos with bad sound.
What???? These overly extended endings are horrible. The ending on DYFLWD 76 is clean,.. and absolutely EPIC. Nothing is wasted. One colossal statement. TO THE POINT!!! He draws it out too much now.
It was thought lost in a plane crash for 31 and a half years and he was reunited with it after finding out that it still exists. Thank you Donald Balentina from Venezuela for making it your mission to get the guitar back in the hands of Mr Frampton.
yes because unlike many rock singers he never abused his voice or got burned out...he partied never a dull moment but he luvs life and has vitality like u said
In mourning over his farewell tour being over now. NO one will ever be like him. First time I saw him was 1979 when I was 17. Can we all donate even $10 to his research fund for Myositis? (through John Hopkins). Let's all donate at least $10 for Peter's 73rd Birthday this year!!! It would add up
Peter, please! Please do us all a big favor again and come to Germany for the Wacken Open Air! That would be the absolute highlight! 2022 can't be the end yet ;-)
Love to hear Peter music it sound so good and clear 🎉🎉Peter has a good talent of playing ahis less Paul guitar 🎸 and singing his song s do you feel like I do. His hold band sound so good .Mr philip Dewayne robinson ❤️

Peter's style and tone are one of a kind. It's part blues and part psychedelic. It's bright and crisp but has a groove all it's own.

I like the way he finished this song live better now than back in 76!!

I'm so glad he got that guitar back....
Fun fact: that is the very same Les Paul guitar that he was holding on the cover of _"Frampton Comes Alive"._
It was thought lost in a plane crash for 31 and a half years and he was reunited with it after finding out that it still exists. Thank you Donald Balentina from Venezuela for making it your mission to get the guitar back in the hands of Mr Frampton.
Yessir. That story still blows me away. ❤phenix❤
I was just thinking the same thing
That guitar was in a plane crash and partly burnt this video was years after its repair and reconditioning
That album was one of the best live recordings. Up there with Live At Leeds, and his talk box solo was incredible.
After all this time and ageing , his voice still has that vitality and clarity about it ..let alone his guitar playing ! A proper musician ...
yes because unlike many rock singers he never abused his voice or got burned out...he partied never a dull moment but he luvs life and has vitality like u said
I was at one of his live concerts in 75.... unbelievable....

I've always loved this song! ❤️
Unbelievable, excellent!! What the frig with the audience/ dance party
Still got it, although the crowd seemed to stay silent.

Best version ever. Congrats and Bravo Frampton 🤙🤙🤙✌️
Back in my dad’s 77’ tricked out van blasting the Craig power play!🤣
Que bom ouvir essa música agora. Depois de um trabalho cansativo mentalmente... Esse é o exercício que poe tudo no lugar. Obrigado pelo presente!
Still AWESOME after all these years.
His voice never changed a single bit over all these years
just what I needed.
Bravo man!
This is so good.
PETER MARAVILHOSO
Time waits for Peter
What's up w the audience that he has to practically ask for recognition. That was a iconic performance. Shame on them!

Keep rockin on babe
Envelheceu ,mas continua jovem .(Fernandinho animal)😊
Eu tenho o álbum, Peter Frampton cames alive 👌
Guitar centre check it out❤
Such a dead crowd, the man is a living legend, performing one of the greatest and innovative songs in history and they're sitting there quietly.
The crowd does not realize that they are in the presence of a rock god.
No, they knew that damn well.
ROCK GOD.
As much as I love classical music this audience looks like they’re listening to a performance of a Beethoven symphony, not a rock n roll concert.
Such an UNDERRATED Guitar Player!! OMFG!!!!
Huh?!? 🤔 Underrated?? He’s considered one of the greatest guitarists of all time. I don’t think that word means what you think it means.
Damn his voice is still on.
Porra , continua na ativa, gracas.
Absoluter Waaaaaaahhhhhhnsinnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, what an anemic audience.
TALK BOX!!!!!
Great picture and frame rate. Frampton looks like the happiest, luckiest guy ever playing this.
