- Hopefully the best quality you will find.
Not sure who the composer is.
Long ago there lived a monster
Who rose up from the deep
He terrorized the jungle
Allowed Numeria no sleep
He attacked the jungle animals
Left mothers' cubs to weep
So the Numerians took action
And set out to trap the creep
Do you believe in monsters
From ancient history
Do you believe that
We were sitting pretty
'Til he rose from the lost city
Hungrily
Do you believe in monsters
Flying from the sky
Do you believe you'll
Catch that puma addict
With a little mathematics
You'll apply
The Numerians were fearful
They did not know what to do
So they trapped him underground
Then they cut the key in two
For a thousand years he's slumbered
Now he's risen up to feast
The whole rainforest sings this chorus
Find the key and bag the beast
Do you believe in monsters
Rising from the gloom
Do you believe our humble requisition
If you're not good at addition
Then we're doomed
Do you believe in monsters
Rising from the grave
Do you believe our humble supplication
Use multiplication and we're saved
The situation's dire
And I fear time's running low
You must cross the rings of fire
Hurry up, it's time to go
I know that you can make it
You will brave the monster's wrath
I'd really like to help you, but I'm just no good at math
Do you believe in monsters
Rising from the grave
If you believe that using calculation
You'll select the operation, then we're saved
Do you believe in monsters
From ancient history
The only hope I see
Is that you'll find the two lost keys
Do you believe in monsters
Like me
I've had this song stuck in my head for twenty fucking years and JUST NOW AT FIVE IN THE FUCKING MORNING remembered where I heard it from. My brain is finally at peace.
Omg same 😂😂😂
Give it a few weeks to find a new one.
My issue song was the dinner song from rockadoodle.
Ohhh my same here 😂
1- it took me way too long to realize that Mathra had Math its its name (aka last year at 23).
2- honestly highly impactful animations. Mathra carrying away the cub is very effective.
Yeah when i was a kid the animations used to freak me out
it's also a pun on Mothra from Godzilla
@@E1337Aaron Strangely, I saw the Godzilla/ Mothra comparison when I was a kid right away. I wasn't even into Godzilla! It was only the math element I missed!
@@viperv6768 lol i literally drew the dots on the mathra/mothra just now today too thats pretty funny
@@onemanarmysswampparty this song always scared me. I always tried desperately to skip it and would just turn the volume down and go to the bathroom
This game use to be amazing when I was a kid.
What do you mean was? It's still amazing. It's on Amazon if you want a copy
I could've sworn his voice sounded different.
This honestly sounds like it could be a Dio song
IKR
This sounds like a song from south park.
oh yeah which one?
no
@@onemanarmysswampparty It's very much the caliber of the kind of shit they would make fun of.
I'd kill for a badass remix of this song lmao.
Peyton Parrish should do one
Brought back memories! I used to play this game all the dang time!
I found a website that you can download it from. It has terrible voices, like they trying to avoid copyright, but it matches the game
I know I wish they would make iPad or iPhone apps of old computer games like Carmen Santiago Jumpstart Frogger and reader rabbit even the old animated storybook CDs etc they were a lot of fun 🤩 PLEASE BRING THESE GAMES BACK TO THIS GENERATION ON TODAY’S DEVICES!!!
I was a huge fan of this game.
Every now and then the line "Do you believe in Monsters" and "But im just not good at math" gets stuck in my head and Ive have to watch this video again
Love it how they went through the effort to create music just for a children’s computer game
And actually good music although I personally prefer the monkey Kingdom music to the goo lagoon
@@BrianSmith-jx7td I mean, Goo Lagoon music is basically just a Beatles parody. Monkey Kingdom is a little more original, as acoustic with heavy influence from hard rock/metal like Dio and Alice Cooper.
0:12 That scene NEVER LEFT MY MEMORY! The part where Mathra is carrying the cub away? That scene has always haunted me!
This was the same for me, on a whim I tried to find this game years later and could only remember this song, and it took forever! But I have never forgotten this for some reason!
our generation grew up right because even our childhood games gave us pseudo ptsd
Someones gotta do a metal cover of this song!!
I wish Peyton Parrish would cover this song
It was this scene, particularly the part with the cub, that got me interested in music, entertainment, and the horror genre. And today I aspire to have my own entertainment company! Wish me luck!
Good luck!
What an interesting origin! Good luck with that! I'd be interested to see what you're hoping to do.
@@airmanon7213 Thanks!
@@mireillerhodes3080 Thank you!
I hope things are going well!!
The “do you believe in monsters” line is so catchy
Great tune too
I loved this song so much! I'd love to hear a power metal cover.
Omg this song, It scared little 3rd grade me XD
I can see why
Same, this game utterly scared me ;-;
Just this song for me. I desperately tried to skip it and would get up to go pee after turning the music off so I wouldn't have to deal with it.
Thank you so much I was afraid no one would sympathise
this was my jam
Still is. Simple but top notch
at first i skipped the song to continue the game, but now i really enjoy it
I think that looks like the best song in TLC history! I like hearing that (as well as seeing its music video) since I first received it!
I played this game a ton as a kid and only now did I find out that there were more than two verses!
The mythical monster Mathra is named as a parody on Mothra from Godzilla.
It was music like this that made me want to learn math and I struggled to do so
Memories!!!!!!!
I miss playing this game it brings back memories
Straight banger
"Your uncle and our evil enemy lie at the bottomless pits of doom..."
Imagine a world where this was on music streaming services...
Freakin' hard core
This guy must have drank a lot of water too sing this good!!!
this song scared me so much when I was younger
Same. I'd turn off the sound and walk away after trying to skip it.
I've been searching for this for too long. Brings back memories of playing this game. And to answer this song: I do believe in Monsters
Jesus Christ this brought back memories I forgot I even had.
1:48 - 2:58 my favorite part.
Same
I heard that this song and the song that the citizens of the goo lagoon sing are the ONLY songs from the entire series!
I went out on a friend date 2 years ago, and we bonded over remembering and singing this song 😂
Thankx for uploading this it is Very Rare A++++++
I had so many nightmares because of this song😭
I gotta learn the guitar chords for that song!
I had a *Huge* crush on Joni, not to mention Misty and May from Pokémon, Yumi Ishiyama from Code Lyoko, and Sakura Haruno from Naruto, to name a few. I realize, now that I am 20, that those girls cannot truly return any romantic affection...
Ah, memories.~ Such a catchy song.
Childhood game
The right way to do exposition
2022 and still bumping this. Mathra for prezident bruhhh
try it at 1.25 speed
Tsumefan2 neat
The Lost City of R’yleh?
I think the composer's name is mentioned in the credits when you click on LapTrap.
I really wonder who it is that voiced Vasco da Bongo in this game.
I would say it's Joel Edgerton because of how he sounded in Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, but I'm not sure.
sorry it's j.s gilbert
I ❤ this song. Cluefinders 3rd Adventure was my favorite game back in the day and still is today. I wish I had some time to play, though. 😊
“If you’re not good at addition then we’re doomed.”
Bro I’m 28 and I’m still sporadically passable at basic math
Best game ever. change my mind lol
Carmen San Diego was pretty good too
3rd and 4th grade Cluefinders were my favorite games!!!
Sounds like the singer is doing a randy savage impression
This brings back so many memories! I played this game a lot when I was younger! ❤
i haven’t heard this since i was about 7 or 8. banger 🔥
if this was The Monsterverse that Monster would be another ancient Titan that was defeated by Godzilla and sealed away in The Hollow Earth
Why is this kinda high effort for a random math learning game for kids??!
Nostalgia of spinning in my grandparents' computer chair.
Who the hexk wrote this? It reminds me of some of the filk music from bill roper
ts used to scare me so bad
This is begging for a metal cover! 🎸
This Song made me believe in Monsters in Unico in the Island of Magic
like the Demons were friendly Creature Monsters in the Valley of the Demons.
Do you believe in monsters?!
my childhood returns 🤣
This song would kick in metal
It's definitely at least partially based on Dio - Rainbow In The Dark. Similar homage to how the Goo Lagoon singers are The Beatles.
I LOVE THIS
I think this song is better than the one heard in Goo Lagoon
Both are good in their own way
That's apply, not fly.
I like that numerians number ians clever
sapphire dawn It’s a pun on Sumerian, the inhabitants of ancient Sumer
P E A N U T S
this song makes me want Cluefinders to be made into a movie in some fashion
What makes a monster isn't how scary or beastly it looks. What even a beautiful person can be a monster. What one does is what makes a monster.
this song has been stuck in my head forever!! thanks for uploading this
file this under "why did this pop into my head so many years later?"
Banger
I’m going to figure out the chords to this song.
💯🔥
Those were the days. 😊😊😊😊
