"Geraldo initially hired an attorney to fight the case, but was eventually appointed a public defender due to his inability to pay; after months of not receiving a paycheck." That is what we call poetic justice.
It’s this kind of behavior that has caused the people’s mis-trust in the system. They should be required to pass a psychological evaluation every few years, before they can run around our streets with such apparent powers and alleged authority. Furthermore, they should be policing themselves. Look what this abuse of power has created. All part of the “master” plan I guess.😖
I'm glad he was charged, but unfortunately, that may be as far as it goes. Sorry to say... he was suspended WITH pay, at least up until Sept 8, 2019. I haven't found anything more about the charges against him after that.
The cops tend to get pretty upset and excited and emotional when someone points a gun at them. Maybe they should be arrested for disorderly conduct. These cops are disgusting and a disgrace to the uniform.
The hypocrisy of "remain calm" after you've had a gun pointed in your face when your a citizen but if police even have the slightest fear for their own safety even without a weapon being brandished that they'll shoot to kill is utterly ridiculous
Woman has gun pointed at her face: “you have to be calm.” Police officers who just think someone has a weapon: “I feared for my life so I murdered them.”
I think no gun laws would help … but it’ll probably make it worse for a while. But it’ll make the Americans that already has guns very nervous and bias.
This is so upsetting. The ladies were victims of an incredibly frightening crime. She had a gun pointed in her face! Who can be calm after that? Every one of those officers should be fired including the female officer. None of that had to happen. My heart goes out to the two ladies. I hope that the both of you can get through this.
Can you imagine a victim of, let's say, domestic abuse who is deeply disturbed and emotionally upset. The attending officer prevents the victim from crying and threatens to arrest the victim if he/she continues to cry. This is exactly what's going on here. This is an act of evil!
@@CarynGibson-ey1xn That sounds awful. Their mindset is so ingrained with the "us vs the public" mentality, that any person they come into contact is a trouble maker in their mind. The only way, as I've recently learned, to get a proper service out of them, is to have an official police card from a cop you know, who the other cops will call to verify that he/she knows you and then you will get normal treatment knowing that you are friends with or related to another cop. This is literally how bad the situation with law enforcement is.
@@CarynGibson-ey1xn I was treated like a criminal when I called to report my own single-vehicle accident. Long story short, cop accused me of being intoxicated (I wasn't), took me to the station for a breathalyzer because he "smelled alcohol," then said he didn't believe the breathalyzer when I blew clean ("because of the way I can smell it on you") but he "had to" let me go. That's pretty much when I realized that even if you've done nothing wrong -- even when you _cooperate fully and do what you're supposed to_ -- a cop will bullshit and lie just because he wants something to stick, and still perceive you as guilty despite evidence to the contrary. I also realized that I'm a fairly privileged person who called _them_ because I basically just needed some paperwork, and he _still_ dragged it out and tried to make me out to be a criminal; I can only imagine how things might have escalated if the circumstances had been different, or if I'd been upset, or I'd looked a different way.
The cop threatening the baker act on her is so scary and dangerous as well. I know the narrator said a dr wouldn't hold her, but a dr will definitely believe a cop over a 'patient' and especially over a black female 'patient'. I was once 302'd when I went to the er because I was concerned I took more benadryl than I should after suffering with horrible insomnia for months. I told them I took it to help me sleep, they didn't believe me and had me involuntary hospitalized for over 2 weeks. If this woman ended up hospitalized because of this cop that could have had an affect on her children if she is a single mom. She could have been seen as unfit by the state, the father could use it as leverage for custody, etc. Not to mention the emotional toll it would take to them even if she wasn't a single mom.
I would guess he had a bad day plus he slept on the wrong things in police school. Its common that ppl think they already know how to calm scared ones down. But ones they in such a situation they fukin dont even think properly.
Yes he did. I noticed that what set him off is when she indicated that she called the gun holder the F word that sounds like maggot. He kept pressing her on why she called the perpetrator the derogatory homosexual reference and then he ultimately attacked her.
Of course he did it on purpose! That pos could have chosen several positive ways to handle that situation, but he decided to let his ego and emotions take control!
The fact that the cop lied on his report proves that the cop knows his actions were not justified. "A clear conscience has no reason to fear the truth."
Not just that, the fact that there were 2 other cops that went along with the lie on the report shines light on an even bigger problem of cops protecting bad cops.
@@MClayton243 integrity amongst cops is a serious issue. Cause oh, no, he didn’t just lie because he knew what he did was wrong. He lied hoping to get away with it. @@bul166 because of the fact they didn't call before. This is the same thing with most crimes. When you call police and you say "this dude has a long history of criminal behavior but this is the first time I cared to report it" you sound sus as hell. You're trying to use their currently suspicious sounding story being treated as suspicious to justify why they didn't do it when they should have. You don't get to use this as an argument. It sounds stupid. This is like when those women say "he assaulted me 30 years ago but I'm just now filing a civil suit when he's rich and famous because I just couldn't hold it in anymore."
The Playbunny Arcade No, it's because there was not much reason to call the police before, he was calling them names, he just now pulled a weapon on them.
I think your assessment is spot-on. She never even raised her voice in any way that a normal person would consider disorderly. At worst she used a tone of voice that suggested that she was frustrated and was protesting his ridiculous handling of the situation and condescending unprofessional behavior. She did absolutely nothing wrong and nothing even remotely worthy of arrest. The whole comply with orders narrative was straight-up bullshit and the other cops knew it. But as members of The Thin Blue Line gang all know and recognize, it's a must that they back up their fellow gang members whether right or wrong. all know, disorderly conduct is the one-size-fits-all charge that cops use to punish non-criminal citizens who do not speak and act in complete submission
yeah i agree. She wasn't disorderly at all. Just animated. But the cops can charge anyone with disorderly. I have had the same thing happen to me just cause the police didn't like my responses. I have been in a similar situation. As I was yelling for help as I was fleeing my stalker my neighbors came to my aid and checked my back yard, came back and surrounded me as I mellowed out. There was a commotion as I was rattled. Another neighbor, a retired sheriff called the cops on US. The cops show up and refuse to secure my home, slap me and my neighbors with noise ordinance fines because we protested they were not hearing us out and to do something to protect me, that he had been previously warned to stay well clear of me. We fought the bougass tickets in court and lost. All because of a retired sheriff was disturbed we each had to pay $500. I offered to pay my neighbors tickets but they said no, they would square up with the creep since the cops didn't. I felt unheard, angry, and further victimized. Since I refused to tolerate such I fought the ticket and the cops lied in court as well as at my neighbors day in front of the judge. Their job is to find what laws have been broken, are being broken or are going to be broken and arrest everybody they can to generate as much revenue as they possibly can. "If she's a victim?Let us conduct our investigation." He was accusatory from the very beginning and didn't believe her. He didn't give her a chance to thoroughly explain what happened!
That was my thought exactly. A good cop would never say, “If she was a victim.” A good cop would have acknowledged her complaint and added, ‘that is why I am here, investigating.’ I don’t think having to go thru a course on how to behave is what cops need to help them behave properly and professionally. I think they have to be evaluated on their participation of these courses prior to becoming officers, just as they have to pass physical evaluations. Even that would not be enough, they need to continue to pass more educational courses. They need to give trainers and educators the power to control whether individuals are fit for duty prior to being hired and while they are on the job, continued education. This will weed out the bad cops. Make them accountable for their motto, “To Serve, and Protect “

"Intensive 40hour training" You can't learn empathy and people skills in 40 hours, no matter ho "intensive" that training is. Proof of this is that several officers stand around and none of them see fit or are able to try a different approach. Worse yet, they assist in putting a victim to the ground. SHAME.
I've heard people whose job it was to teach cops their business talk about a culture of police criminality, where they walk in assuming that all this "legal stuff" is just BS because the "real street cops" always have to break the law to "do the job" and all the procedures they have to memorize are just to teach them how to lie on the reports. "We write the reports" is a JOKE to them, meaning they fully expect to lie to make it "look like" they did things "by the book" while in fact doing no such thing. This criminal cop "culture" is the same attitude that they use to justify fabricating evidence, because they have such contempt for "lawyers and judges" they think it's "necessary" to frame whoever they happen to decide is "guilty". Of course, their breaking the law and fabricating evidence is ACTUALLY what causes a lot of guilty people to walk free, but they have plenty of hubris about their own capacity to decide who goes to prison combined with a belief that lawyers and judges exist to prevent criminals from being convicted. The culture is SO deeply engrained in police that you see them lying on film about things that just happened on film-- how automatically and constantly must they have lied BEFORE cameras on phones????
And it seems to be most of those 40 hours are just new powers like using drugs to disable them, new ways to deprive them of their liberty, new ways to violate people's right to privacy.
So happy to hear he was arrested. I felt so bad for those girls. Btw, I’ve been around people who have been hysterical from a traumatic situation and it’s crazy to think that they would just suddenly be calm as if nothing happened. And just imagine if the guy with a weapon harmed her child or the other girl while they had her locked up. This is ridiculously insensitive.
I usually don't gloat about things like this, but the fact that the cop had to use a Public Defender because he ran out of money is hilarious. No, you're on to something. This POS had to get a public defender, BUT the POS Van Dyke that murdered LaQuan McDonald, not only had a PROPER LAWYER, but also had his 1 MILLION DOLLAR BOND paid by the police union. So you would thing that cops that are NON WHITE would clue in on this and ADJUST their behavior? NO SALE. Yeah if the cops that don’t overuse their power also sit aside and allow others to do wrong they are just as wrong so they are not a good cop. Thus there is no such thing as a good cop.

@XX crump what
@@CarynGibson-ey1xn I was treated like a criminal when I called to report my own single-vehicle accident.

Amy William's, I enjoy that you dont say that, that cop needs to die, or all cops are bad, you are the only person on here with reasoning, thank you.
sheepsdawg's 777 thanks I don’t wish death on anyone .
@@AmericanAmy Thank you we don't want anyone to die. You watched the video and saw what we saw. The cop might be use to having a gun pulled on him and in his face but these young ladies are not like most of us. Those cops pulled up acting like those young ladies did something wrong.
“Calm down, you are causing a scene”
All this after he literally is shaming a victim of a crime for having a gun in their face. The police and the perpetrator of this crime created a scene
The gang in blue earning the hate with every encounter
I'm SO glad the cop actually faced consequences for this... I wasn't sure that would happen. I really hope she gets good money for what happened to her, and hope that bastard is found guilty. It's so infrequent that a cop actually gets justice for abusing and violating the public.
unfortunately the citizens will be paying for her windfall
@@shaunsters79 true, but if they don't sqaunder our money on this they'll sqaunder it on something else. I vote this!
@@shaunsters79 they're paying for that cops mistake and the city should train their cops to avoid it.
*Body cams do work. Especially against other minority officers abusing their authority.*
Since when has telling someone telling you to calm down EVER helped a person calm down?? And yelling it at someone? This is beyond upsetting. I hope this man was fired
He was
So basically he had an emotional breakdown to her emotional breakdown lol
He wasn't even taking her seriously wtf.
American police need a radical makeover.
He won't even let the girls speak and she wasn't even screaming 💀 wtf
They dont care, they dont see certain people being capable of being victims . No compassion no care 😑
It's not about him being American. There are plenty of good American cops on here. The problem is that he's an asshole.
I would argue that Ms. Loving was a victim of two crimes and that she did no wrong (according to the content of this video).
$50K for the emotional trauma of a second wound experience is too little.
And it was particularly bad because she was worried about her child and the arrest *further* delayed her ability to act in that matter.
@@Dowlphin The 50k was just signatures. lol.
I feel so bad for the girls...Imagine having the police you called for help fail you like that. disheartening.
@@gdaebb9179 - The police officers didn't just fail them. They physically assaulted and unlawfully arrested the one young woman.
"Intensive 40hour training"
You can't learn empathy and people skills in 40 hours, no matter ho "intensive" that training is. Proof of this is that several officers stand around and none of them see fit or are able to try a different approach. Worse yet, they assist in putting a victim to the ground. SHAME.
When the f*ck could a narcissist ever learn empathy? Impossible. Narcissists are not human.
What’s a Joke!
His partner is a woman. Lets be real, she’s not going to take the dominant role and call her partner out on his bullshit
Convicted and sentenced to 364 days in jail and 18 months probation as well. About time a cop was held liable.
I usually don't gloat about things like this, but the fact that the cop had to use a Public Defender because he ran out of money is hilarious. More cops should be suspended without pay, and forced to use the same resources as the common folks. I hope the young lady gets paid, and the thug never wears a badge again.
NO SALE. This guy was thrown under the bus because he improperly ASSUMED he could do what white cops do and get the same result. Same thing with the black cop who got 40 years for killing Jeremy Mardis. These fools will NEVER LEARN.
Nice!
"you're acting disorderly, you will get arrested!" - Officer Fez lol
"I could have just tased her". That is called a forced negative compromise and this is an abusive tactic. It is a double bind tactic. I think he is a a shouvenist. He made her feel disvalidated.
Thanks for that term. My ex used to do that crap on me. I just never had a term for it.

Lol that because they liked to bully people and treat everyone liked crap no reason

Fast forward 10 months and this comment still holds true
He Definitely deserves jail time. He needs a life of hardship.
They gonna love him in jail...
Listening to that dumbshit try and speak you can tell he is already leading a self inflicted life of hardship, but jail time would be a nice cherry on top.
Or just get kicked out of the country. This action should not be tolerable. Fuck this cop.
I work with security guys like this and they are trying to apply to the police academy. Lord help us.
Record them behaving badly and send the videos to the surrounding police departments!
they wouldnt hire them because they get sued
Rejects!
This man should not be a cop... he's ridiculous and out of control. And the cops that stood by and did nothing to help these women should be fired...this is so unacceptable
This cop, can't wait to use his handcuffs. Her actions seem perfectly normal, after having her life threatened.
I know there are supposedly good cops out there but when they don't step up and stop the ones in the wrong, I lose all respect
Exactly!!! I couldn't agree more. All three of these assholes need to be canned.
no such thing as a good cop
3333 3333 Exactly why I say AC-ABC all cops are bad cops.
Yeah if the cops that don’t overuse their power also sit aside and allow others to do wrong they are just as wrong so they are not a good cop. Thus there is no such thing as a good cop.
@@emilywest3669 Don't act ok. Cops can do their job without over using their power.
An experience like this would make someone never want to call the police again. I've heard of cases where a person calls to report a crime they witnessed and they end up getting killed when the officer arrives.
@Devin D, i never call the cops, I will handle any situation that may arise myself, why? Well its simple, because you never know what type of cop you are gonna get, a professional with critical thinking skills, or a asshole with no thinking skills and no empathy towards anyone, sorry I just can't afford to play that guessing game.
@@mikeaskme3530 I don’t blame you at all
This actually almost happened to me- I had been assaulted and they found me hiding and having a panic attack, I was told that if I didn’t stop crying and shaking and didn’t start speaking clearly I would be cuffed and arrested
I wasn’t arrested, but it was still extremely fucked up.
That’s Just sickening
Wow! Great audit. That cop is a disgrace. I hope he gets what he deserves.
The only thing this cop deserves is a desk in the back with no public exposure. Your partner is going to get you into a world of hurt. So you arrest the victims. "To Protect And Serve". More like Harass and abuse.
@@chrisgordon5719 , You're way too kind. Most people would think that he deserves something very different.

Agree. Although some of them I feel angry during I try to hold back and not comment until the end. I like his little interruptions with facts. Very informative and interesting.
Arresting someone for "refusing a lawful order" to "calm down" is psychotic thing to do.
I got so mad at the cops, I couldn't watch the entire interaction in this video.
That cop gets an F---
How low must the hiring bar be for the Miami Police Department when seeing how poorly Officer Geraldo handles this situation.
" calm down Ma'm you are screaming." the officer screamed.
The cop didn’t take into consideration is that she was the victim and just arrested the victim because he didn’t want to do his duty to the victim
That officer was wrong on so many level. He was on some power trip.
If he was willing to taser her, he was also willing to kill her, of course, because he feared for his life and thought her phone was a weapon. Bad cops think they rule over society; they are the terrorists threatening America...
They all are!! That’s the biggest reason people get arrested. A cop feels disrespected. That’s it. They are superior, more important, deserving of subservience. They attract the worst kinds of people.
