I am so glad that you got the hair transplant and that you're doing something for yourself. Peoples' shitty opinions on the Internet don't matter. I don't know why some people have to be jerks about things that don't affect their lives in any way.
It looks like you're healing well and I'm glad to be a part of this community. ❤
Thank you ☺️ that’s 100% true. I’m way past carrying about what people think about my life choices 😂 glad you’re part of the gang 🙃
Re: hair transplant. You deserve to be as happy as possible about your appearance BUT to all other guys losing some hair, there are people out here who prefer the look of a bald man. Many people
@@drunkvegangal8089 I gave you a thumbs up because you expressed yourself well, and this community should be open-minded and tolerant of other opinions, too. That is the beauty and diversity of our civilization: respect and tolerance.
@@dawnchattin5935 Thanks. Try typing this into your search engine, Patrick Stewart attractive or bald men attractive? If it were just my opinion I would appreciate tolerance but it is a wide-spread and cross-cultural phenomenon; amongst both genders and since time-out-of-mind. In a gathering full of either average or handsome men the bald one(s) always command attention and stand out from the crowd.
Evolution confirms that male pattern baldness must be desirable or it simply would not be chosen for potential offspring and would have been extinct by now :D
@@dawnchattin5935 Thanks for your support. This is much more than a personal opinion though; it is a cross-cultural and world-wide phenomenon throughout human history. Evolution proves this because if male pattern baldness were not desirable, women would not have selected the trait for their offspring (for countless millennia), and the genetic lineage would have ceased by now ;D
In your last video you said you worked in a hospital. I knew I recognised your face, you were a support worker when I was in hospital for a week. I’ve been watching your videos for a while, including when I was in hospital but it didn’t click that it was you. I love your videos and your talent. Thank you - Stuart.
Thanks and yes I started as a healthcare assistant 🙂
I love how you can still see the grain through the green. So beautiful.
Thank you! Cheers!
Si, el roble sigue estando allí. Genial la transparencia que logra.
“Coz I’m fancy AF”, love it
Maybe that will turn up as an option on a t shirt in the merch section!?!? What do you think Jay?
I wasn't feeling your love for the green until you put the hard oil on it with the pigment in it - that toned it down and took it from St. Patrick's Day green to a warm tone. And then I loved it. All in all, I think it was very successful and a great save from the dump. Congratulations.
Same here! Before oil I thought it looked like smth for kindergarten but oil gave it the depth it needed.
Agreed.
It’s nice to see a piece of furniture that is a little more masculine. Love the deeper tone of green it adds more interest. And the hardware, wow who knew there were those gems underneath all that paint.
@@clairewright8153 Clearly he knew that there were gems under the paint! So your comment taught me something: I can watch all these videos and even maybe learn something about how to restore furniture, but it won't give me his eye for knowing a good piece with potential even when it looks like a wreck.
I absolutely love the green. It just made the piece pop. I honestly imagined it was going to be pink.
When ever Jay gets his hands on a piece of furniture, he then turns it into something so beautiful and so magical. A master at work.
You are too kind! Thank you!
The quality of your work and videos, deserves at least 30 mins, your cat is Devine ❤
Wow, thank you!
Green is my favorite color. I’m a Philadelphia Eagles fan so this is right up my alley! Gorgeousness personified!
Mando tickles me so much!! He clearly loves you- inspecting drawers before riding, protecting the yard while you’re working and allowing belly scratches 🥰Nice job!
Generations in the past embraced colour today so many are afraid of it. Great work !
You gave the little old chest a new life! I appreciate that you pay attention to the inside and backside. When you’re finished with a piece, it’s been thoroughly refreshed.
Watching old cruddy paint being removed isn't gross - it's satisfying. And congrats on the hair transplant. Glad you are healing well. Don't listen to the nay-sayers. Some people will always think that their way is the only way, and try to impose their ideas onto others. Love the colour choices.
Thank you for your kind comment! 😊
This project turned out great. I love the green color against the brown wood, and when you added the silver handles it increased the chest’s beauty. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. I always look forward to see what you do next!
Thank you so much!😊
It was worth watching even two thousand years later. It is beautiful as always! I love the green!
When you said you had a specific color in mind when thinking of Art Deco, I was HOPING it'd be a rich dark green, because that's my association with the style as well (and I just love love love green in general). This turned out absolutely beautiful.
Awesome 🤩 glad you like it
So perfect!
@@Flippingdrawers I was hoping for green, too, because it looks so good with the handles. Beautiful!!
I absolutely LOVE how the wood grain is accentuated by the green stain! So very beautiful. And the polished silver hardware is perfect. Another awesome project, Jay!
"2000 years later" Thank you for taking me through the whole painstaking process. You motivate me to try a little more patience when I'm tackling a project. :-)
You can do it! 🙂 thanks for watching
You do whatever you want with your skin/ body / head. I want you to know that your personality is what shines - we see it in your work, your cats and your collabs. It's interesting to realize how much your editing and production shows your personality. So let that hair grow and know that your heart is lovely.
Wow Jay that green bought back memories. First married in 68 and our dining table and chairs were that colour..I love the drawers on your restoration. Good for you being brave with the hair transplant. Do what makes YOUhappy. You are the only person that counts and Mando of course👌👌❤❤👏👏
I really appreciate it when people make unique original choices. I can only watch so many times as people do a light beige paint wash, L O L. Well done. I love it.
I absolutely agree. That being said, the table I am working on will have a light off white wash over it going for a coastal vibe over the birch or beech or poplar or whatever super light wood with little to no grain pattern was used to build the table.
@@zimmejoc I think those finishes are lovely. It’s just that when I’m watching UA-cam to have them all doing the same finish I always find it delightful when somebody’s doing something original as well.
LOVE the color choice - while I am not a fan of painting wood, I think this technique enhanced the grain. Good job.
I love the grain coming through the green. The two tones work well together too🤓
This green is absolutely beautiful 💚
What makes you so special is your desire to find pieces that almost cry out for a new life. You definitely give each piece that and when you're finished they seem nearly as happy and proud of their renewal as you are. This piece is amazing. I wasn't sure of the green, but when I saw the results with the natural wood contrast, I was sure you made the right choice. Well done! Your portfolio just received another stunner.
Thank you for your kind comment!
Yes!!! Colored stains do need to get more love… “you had me at green”… “The Great Gatsby-green”… I just stained a detail on my grandmother’s table in turquoise, against the blond refinished (fed…) oak… (it took me only 6 months worth of week-end tinkering, while watching (mostly your) videos… So I feel vindicated by your choice 😂!!! Very pretty piece… and it came from “pretty far gone”. As usual, fantastic job, and inspiring for a week-end DIY-er like me… thank you!!!
Nice! 💪🏻 congratulations on getting it done and thank you for watching 💛
Fabulous totally the right green and the correct application of the where to use the green … the added transparency of the Grain is stunning on a very average piece of furniture style
I love the green! The two tone effect is such a beautiful departure from the more traditional colors. This might be one of my all time favorites!
Yes I’ve always loved deep green colors. The wood tones with the sheer green stain and silver hardware is perfect!
What an unusual and beautiful piece you have created!!
I love your attention to all of the details! And don't worry about the negative jerks. You do you!
Love the green. Handles are the perfect match. ❤❤
Wow! The depth of the wood grain shows up so pretty with the green stain and whatever else you did there. 😊
Love it!! The two tone and silver handles … gorgeous. 🥰
It really did come out beautifully. Fortunately, the grain shows really nicely.
I am so impressed . Art deco colors are bold green. Pink and yellow. You chose very well. Love the deeper green so bold to act on your vision. Love the contrasting brown with it. The colors pop out making it a beautiful piece of furniture. Keep those ideas coming as it really turned out well
Absolutely love! Color of art deco is definitely green or black. But usually with Gold!! Love the silver!!!
Nice 👌 thank you
Another good save. The green deepened just right with the tinted oil and contrasted well with the wood tone. Staining rather than painting gave a richer look to a very modest little piece. The hardware shined up beautifully and just has a deco look. Nice touch.
Thank you very much! 🙂👍
This piece is gorgeous ❤❤❤!!!!!!!! Good to see Mondo helping.
Каждый раз восхищаюсь Вашей работой! Вы - Мастер с золотыми руками, это очевидно! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love it! I'm so glad you kept the hardware
I just loved the green color you've chosen! The idea of letting the natural woodgrain still being seen was amazing. It was a huge transformation, but the final results were great.
Yes to the green! This is something I would have in my house, I've painted a lot of things in blues and greens, but I think I'm going to have to do a coloured stain for my next project now
Nice! Thanks for watching 🙂
I love it! The toning over the green really brought out the wood grain! Great choice.
Thank you! Cheers!
Normally I don't like green, but I have to admit, the chest of drawers looks great! Well done!
The green and silver color scheme is perfect!
I wasn't totally on board with the green until you topped it off with the tinted oil. It blends the piece perfectly. Nice job.👍👍
Just what I was going to say.
The green color is really beautiful. Good job.👍
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the green!
Absolutely beautiful how the light picks up the grain in the wood through the green! I love it!
Glad you like it!
Beautiful transformation. Love the green. Well done!
I love how warm the finish made the green. This is beautiful
Green is my favorite color! It’s adorable 🥰 The hardware turned out so nice & looks great back in its original state. Mando is growing up so fast 🥲
The green is definately something unique. I love it
I really like the color combination! I like how you made the green darker! The dresser turned out beautiful! I bet you'll enjoy having hair on top of your head again! You look fine without it but if it makes you feel better then I'm glad you went for it!
Thank you ☺️
Green has always been my favorite color. I tell my granddaughter that I like it because it's the color of money. I love the finished piece.
You picked my favorite colour!! I adore this transformation, well done!
That turned out great! Art Deco meets whimsical elegance! ❤
I love how you express your creativity in all your videos. I love your " Trust the process" attitude. You always prove your "process" works! Love your videos and always look forward to the next one!
Love it! The green was a great choice and I'm glad you kept the hardware.
That's a beautiful job.
A true labour of love.
The green is outstanding.
Art Deco, you nailed it!
Yay 🥳 thank you
I like the green better than I thought I would. I like that you can still see the grain. Great job
I think of greens & teals when it's art deco. I ❤ what you did.
Teals!! I love teal. Now I'm hoping to see a teal-tinted piece hahahah
I love the way it turned out. Unsusal and beautiful.
Looks like a child’s chest of drawers, maybe part of a set, including a small, two door, wardrobe.
My first thought was, oh how pretty. It's good to take care of yourself. It's not being selfish, so don't let anyone say different. The transplant looks good and healthy.
Well, Jay..... At first when you said green, I was like noooooo what are you doing 😂! But now it's absolutely stunning! Would have never dreamed what a gorgeous transformation using the two colors together has made! The drawers pulls are absolutely beautiful! Turned out gorgeous and stunning! Not planning really paid off for sure! 😊❤
Thanks ☺️ glad you were surprised
The oil made the difference for me. It deepened the green and brought out the grain. Beautiful. I guessed yellow or red. The handles made me think of the old planes.
I thought that you were mad painting it green. I thought where is he going with this? But Wow! the end result is FABULOUS; the silver handles look great against the green colour. ❤
A really creative way to bring it back to life. It looks really elegant. Love the brass nails idea, too.
I really like the two colours together. You did an amazing job as always, Jay!
Thanks so much!😉
@@Flippingdrawers if u will get an old crockpot & set high, put your hardware in it w/ vinegar water, the paint will just pretty much peel off, instead of all that scrubbing. There r many wood workers who use that method u can see on Pinterest and Facebook and UA-cam. 😊
Beautiful….I love color when you can see the wood grain.
Przepięknie jest odrestaurowana ta szafeczka szufladowa Pozdrawiam serdecznie. 👍👍👍👍👍
Dziekuje 🙂
Very lovely! With the green toned down a bit, it is very elegant.
Ohhhh I was so ready to shake my head and say you can’t win them all BUT I still hadn’t learned my lesson. Really astonishing again!!!
Ha ha thanks 🤩
Yes, you ARE fancy AF as well as a magician. I have never seen anyone do what you do as well as you do it. Bravo!
thank you kindly 🙂
@@Flippingdrawers You're so welcome! Your talent is truly remarkable.
You definitely woke up this beautiful piece of furniture that was hidden under all that paint.
Careful and thoughtful work, as always, and I so love to see pieces rescued and made useable once again. Hope you find someone to love and take care of it!
This little dresser is adorable. The green color on this little dresser makes it scream, " Look how cute I am."
“Trust the process” has never been more true. Love the green AFTER the hard wax oil with pigment added. That one step alone brought this transformation up to another level. It turned out absolutely beautiful. Thank you for letting us watch your amazing work.
My pleasure 😇
Absolutely love it!
Glad you like it!
I like different coloured wood stains as I like wood grain showing on a piece. What a lovely job.
The green is very pretty. Green is my favorite color and I like the way the stain looks with the natural wood tone. I think the hardware looks good too.
Green! I knew it! First I thought orange but then I thought no, it has to be green, and it was! Boy and what a green! This is a superb transformation, I love it!
I wasn't feeling the green until you installed the drawer pulls. Game changer. I absolutely love it. Great job as always.
I love coloured stains, and green one especially. It gives to piece such a whimsical tone. 💚
What a beautiful job! That poor chest looked so sad and unloved and now its gorgeous. Green is my favorite color and those handles are so special. ❤
Emerald green and silver ARE art deco! Bravo😊
Stunning! Green is my favorite color, it looks wonderful with the oak lightly stained, and I am so glad you kept the hardware.
so beautiful knobs, must have been saved from an older dresser from someone that loved them just as much as us!
That green with the silver just sings! And you are absolutely right, that hardware looks INCREDIBLY deco, whether the piece is actually from that era or not it sure looks the part!
It looks stunning and yes green was a much used colour in Art Deco.. you’ve given a humble piece a glamorous make over. The handles are gorgeous…
Thank you so much 😊
Very nice restoration. Im glad you kept the drawer pulls! Thank you!❤
I love the color! It really masculine. It looks like something in a tent on a campaign 100 years ago.❤️🤗🐝
Amazing transformation. Who would have thought such a color combination, but the final reveal showed the dresser’s happiness!
Loved how this turned out. The green was an interesting choice and looks great!
The oil was the chef’s kiss for this piece. So glad you decided to do that part.
Thank you ☺️
Love the green. The original hardware is fantastic.
I was deeply uncertain about the green, but it works! Those drawer pulls are ::chef's kiss:: ✨💚
Awesome ! Glad you like it
Jay, this is such an effing gorgeous drawer ever! This green is my favorite color! Since it re-stain with brown, make it look more beautiful!! Love it! You did an excellent job on this magnificent drawer!
I like that you are so thorogh with the cleaning of your pieces. You clean and strip them well.
The final product is absolutely beautiful! Liz
