I don’t think the original maker of this buffet ever dreamed this piece could look this beautiful. The most amazing part of restorations for me is how the beauty of the furniture is in the piece the whole time, it just takes the eye and hands of an artist to help the rest of us see it the way the artist does.😊

Jay, if there is anyone in the world that can salvage a tossed aside piece of furniture it's you. 99% of society would have sent it to the burn pile. You turned it into a masterpiece. 😊

I know you said this piece isn’t made too well and there are no straight corners etc, but now, since your renovation, it looks like it’s worth a fortune. The wood grain is spectacular and the subtle colouring of the tree panel is a dynamic talking point. I’m so impressed with this piece Jay, you have captured all of its positive aspects and completely hidden the negative. Another job perfectly done xx

My uncle worked as a garbage collector and he was always bringing home some very nice things to things that just needed fixing..he could have opened up a store with all the things he brought home.

My trips thrifting will have to be curbed some. My friend since we were 6 yrs old and I are widows and it gives us joy to drive to San Antonio to thrift. No thrift stores in our town. I have to spread the word that I’m looking for furniture to try to renew. My mother was born in 1911 and she and I were always refinishing, upholstering, making drapes and quilts. I miss those times with her. Thank you for your videos.👍😃

I loved what you did to bring out the beauty of the tree, as well. I love how you do everything you can, to rescue a past treasure. Maybe it's the nurse in you. That is just absolutely beautiful!! New would I have believed that it would look like this after seeing it before you began this journey of discovery. You are most certainly an artisan. 💗

Wow! My gracious! What a stunning, totally fabulous difference! That is wonderful, but it took so-o-o-o much work. Love the way you 'encouraged' the buffet to untwist itself. You are very diligent Mr. D. Love the work on the tree. I endorse every positive comment on this and every other video - with thanks to you. And aren't you lucky to be 11,716 miles away else I might do a spot of cat-napping.

WOW 😮😮😮. Felicidades...
