- Odisha Train Tragedy- EXPLAINED | Why Indian Railways are in HUGE Losses? | Indian Railway Accidents
On 2 June 2023, tragedy struck when three trains collided near Balasore, Odisha. Two passenger trains, the Coromandel Express and the SMVT Bengaluru-Howrah SF Express, collided after an initial collision involving goods train near Bahanaga Bazar station. At least 288 people were killed and more than a thousand people were injured. In this video, we examine what happened in Odisha, and why it happened. We also discuss the indigenous Kavach system as well as assess the IR, CAG, and NCRB reports to understand what's really wrong with the Indian Railways. Finally, we try to find solutions to avoid such national disasters in the future.
My goal with this video is not only to shed light on the disturbing reality but also to raise awareness and prompt much-needed discussions on how to improve the situation of the INDIAN RAILWAYS. We believe that by sharing this information, we can contribute to meaningful changes that benefit everyone who relies on the Indian Railways.
