I m from Odisha.. I m damn sure the death toll is much more than 600... From some reliable source I came to know that , most of the bodies remain unidentified and later on uncounted... There is no records of WT passengers and General 2nd class passengers..
Most disturbing part of this accidents are 1) Why a person manning the kanta system wrongly operated the kanta ? 2) Why third train could not know even after 20 minutes of first accident while train coaches were lying scattered on main track ?

Sir can we use NAVIC system to track the train location with speed . And we can make a alerts system if there is unusual speed decrease. So that u can activate the rescue team and also temporarily ban more train on that route. Can navic have the capacity to detect the train with its traveling track?
Most of Assam are single track . After 76 years of independence Assam is lacking double track. So few trains run in Assam. But British introduced railway in Assam in 1885, though with the motive of carrying oil, tea, coal and timber.
Jo bhi bol rahe hai ki kavach system kuy kam nahi kia wo akal ke andhe ko bata du ki yahan pe kavach system deploye nahi hua tha. Aur government 2022 me testing complete kia aur 2024 tak Sare jagah pe deploye karegi
Sayad bullet train chalane me 4 lac crore ka kharch aayega... Aur kawach taknik me 1 lakh crore pure bharat ke liye, isliye pahale surakchha pe kaam kiya jana chahiye....
Kavach ko lagane ke baad indian railways ko tickets ke price badhane pdenge........fir yahi Indians modi ko gaali denge ki itna mehnga ho gaya ye wo indian mein acchi cheezo ko kabhi encourage nahi kiya gaya yahan sabko free mein cheezein chahiye isiliye aaj ye halat hai🙏
For this kawwach the budget required is 1 lakh crore to cover all train routes.......but govt has spent not even total sum of 500 crore and govt potrays as if their ministers have developed it.......and shows as if every train has this kawachh system.
It will take 5 years at least cant blame this govt as kavach was being developed since 2012 and completed in 2020 to 2021 So it just can't happen in 1 sweep Agree that the basic signaling system has to be improved and sabotage angle cannot be denied

Kavach costs 50L/Km . It will take another 5-6 completely Implement Kavach system in 70,000km of our Railway line.
