Do you know anyone selling a switch for the manic tune? I have a 2009 jcw with manic tune but no switch
Greg kreutzer the Switch only works when you have a tune with different maps on your ECU and it’s activated in the tune itself.
If that is not the case - no chance to make it work..
Yeah its on stage 2 map now in sport mode but I need the switch to change it. The ecu has eco, stage 1 and 2.
What is the 100-200 Kmh time? Was it measure with a performance box? How much hp/nm does it have?
That whole cabin is a driving enthusiast’s cocoon! I’d love to spend hours on that thing- the shift extension really makes it 👍

Ahhh...The sound it makes when accelerating is so brutal! Pops and burble says "I'm here!" One of the nicest sounding 4 cylinders out there. Car so stable at those speeds....steering wheel hardly ever moves.
The Porsche 911 Carrera also has a 4 cylinder and trust me it sound awesone. But Mini defiently top tier haha

Too much..cool when aggressive driving..but literally every time you lift the throttle? Nope.
can be turned off via sport button - or reduced by chosing an other mapping.
Daniel Gillrup You can turn off sports mode and it won’t do that... and besides the snap crackle and bang is glorious music, can’t get enough... sounds beautiful, just the cherry on the top!
Might be a bit too much pop for some people but I’m not one of those people.
That’s actually false, the sport button does change quite a bit in these cars. But truthfully, you either get it or you don’t.

Look for the "Brodit Pro Clip" - that is a 2 piece solution consists of an apapter for your car (mini r56) and a second piece specific for your phone (iphone 5s in my case)

Hallo Daniel, wie sieht es bis jetzt zur Haltbarkeit mit dem Tuning aus? Die Möglichkeit per SPS auf verschiedene Maps umzuschalten ist schon ziemlich cool. Bin nur etwas verunsichert mit solchen Maps out of the box. Muss man jede Map einzeln kaufen oder gibts die einfach zum Komplettpreis auf die SPS?

Mit der Haltbarkeit habe ich bisher überhaupt keine Probleme gehabt. Trotz Nordschleifen-Einsatz läuft der Kleine bisher ohne Probleme.
Das mit der SPS Einheit hast du ein bisschen falsch verstanden!
Die 4 verschiedenen Maps werden wie bei jedem anderen Tuning natürlich direkt auf das Motorsteuergerät geflashed, mit dem SPS Switch sagst du dem Steuergerät dann lediglich welche Map du aktivieren möchtest.
Und so ganz „out of the box“ ist das auch nicht, da du bei der Abstimmung auf so ziemlich jede Änderung an deinem Motor eingehen kannst.
Bei mir habe ich jeweils in den Maps den Ladedruck und die Benzinqualität berücksichtigt und so Spielereien wie die Deaktivierung der Schubabschaltung konnte ich auch jeweils nach Wunsch verlängern bzw. auch auf den Sport Button legen.
Challenge Kühlmittelmanagement sowie lineare Gaspedalkennlinie sind dann die Kirsche auf der Torte...
Bei Manic zahlst du einmal für die Abstimmung, je nach Stage sind dann auch die mehreren Maps direkt inklusive.
Die SPS Einheit kostet dann noch extra und wenn du eine Leistungsmessung brauchst kommt die halt auch noch dazu.

hast du die ca 13 sec von 100-200 mit gps gemessen?
MINIben yap, auf der 2. stärksten Map bei 32* Außentemperatur mit 98 Oktan waren es 13,1 Sekunden per GPS gemessen.
Auf der stärksten Map und wenn es etwas kühler ist, sollte da eine mittlere 12er Zeit drin sein.

Bei mir ist lediglich eine 200 Zellen Downpipe mit Sport-Kat verbaut - der Rest von der AGA ist serienmäßig.
Das Knallen kommt durch die Software und ist mit aktiviertem Sport-Button extrem verschärft.

I am about to stage 2 my R56 mini and am curious what sort of resale value you get after doing all the mods - ever it's all done professionally by big tuning companies like Avon Tuning. Is it really hard to sell a well modded car and is the car by default under market price if it's modded?
Ich weiss jetzt nicht ob du nach drei jahren noch auf fragen antwortest, aber was hast du alles am Motor gemacht/verstärkt, damit der die Leistung aushält? Keine Verstärkungen? Und ist die Abgasanlage komplett Stock? oder evtl. doch daran irgendwas geändert? Wie viele KM hatte der auf dem Tacho vor dem Tuning und wie viele KM hast du mit diesem Setup geschafft, ohne dass etwas kaputt gegangen ist :D? 265PS auf 1.6 Liter hört sich echt ungesund an :D. Was hast du nur für die Leistungssteigerung gezahlt?

Basically you need at least this following mods on a JCW:
1. proper intercooler
2. Downpipe with high flow sport cat / decat
3. high flow air induction / cold air intake
4. silicone hoses / deleters for sound generator and silencer
5. a good ECU tune

Jeffrey Gordon exhaust is stock but i've got a downpipe with 200 cell sport cat fitted.
was würdest du sagen hat bei dir den größten soundunterschied gemacht? fahre auch eine hdt Motorsport downpipe mit kat und abe auf meinem jcw gp. Ganz so knallen tut meiner allerdings nicht. Software kommt erst wenn die Garantie vorbei ist :D
GermanStrikeTV das ist ganz klar die Mischung.
Von vorne hört man sehr deutlich die Ansaugung und den Turbo, hinten raus klingt er schön dumpf durch die Downpipe.
Der komplette Auspuff ist noch original, dafür ist der Klang echt mega gut.
Durch die Software kommt natürlich das Knallen noch dazu, was allerdings nur bei aktiviertem Sport Button auftritt.
Das ist aber auch gut so, ist eher für die Show, als für die Performance.
Daniel Bello hat die Software das knallen noch verstärkt? denn knallen tut meiner ja auch so Recht laut.
Deine Downpipe ist aber ohne abe oder?
Ich habe ja noch den N14 Motor, da ist das Schubknallen nicht über den Sport Button gesteuert und daher eher mau.
Bei deinem GP ist ja der N18 verbaut, bei dem über den Sport Button schon einiges mehr passiert.
Mit dem Knallen bei meinem kann man das aber nicht wirklich vergleichen, das hat mit dezent nicht mehr viel zu tun.
Da es nur im Sport Modus aktiviert ist, kann ich damit aber gut leben.. ansonsten ginge es mir schnell auf den Keks.
Ich habe insgesamt 4 Stufen in denen ich die Leistung einstellen kann und habe dabei u.a. auch eine Einstellung mit Serienleistung bei der mit oder ohne Sport Button kein Schubknallen vorhanden ist.
Zur Downpipe: Ich habe ja noch einen Euro4 JCW und daher auch die Euro4 Downpipe eingebaut, es ist nicht die HJS Euro5. Abgaswerte passen, keine Fehlermeldungen.
Daniel Bello verdammt :D bei mir knallt er auch schon Recht laut, aber absolut kein Vergleich. ich nehme an es liegt am hjs kat
also die JCW die ich bisher mit der HJS gehört hab, waren ähnlich. Evtl. einen Ticken gedämpfter, aber kein Vergleich zur Seriendownpipe.

Ali Türkkan the intensity of the pops&bang is the same in all mappings but the duration is different (3 seconds to 5 seconds).
You can enable or disable the hole option by pressing the sport button - sport button off means silence:)

It´s part of the "bespoke option" and will cost extra but if you choose the option you will get much more features like "challenge coolant management" and "linear throttle characteristic"

Ich habe zuerst einen LLK von Forge verbaut und bin danach auf den Wagner Competition umgestiegen.

MichaelWiedmann ich bin mit der Manic Abstimmung jetzt ca. 3000km gefahren - die Hälfte davon auf der Nordschleife.
Ich habe den SPS Switch, daher kann ich zwischen Serien-Map und 3 Performance-Maps umschalten.
Im Video war ich in der Performance-Map B unterwegs (1.40 Bar Ladedruck) wo mit 98 Oktan Benzin ca. 265ps und 360-380nm Drehmoment anliegen. Damit bin ich bei 32 Grad Außentemperatur 100-200 in 13.1 sek. gefahren.
Mit 102 Oktan und Performance-Map C liegen nochmal 10-15ps mehr und fast 400nm Drehmoment an, damit bewegt man den Mini dann mit 12 sek. Zeiten von 100 auf 200.
Das ist nicht schlecht, denke ich :-)

Button off = soft steering, smooth throttle response, no pops&bangs
Button on = stiff steering, more sensitive throttle response and the pops&bangs

When you say "medium pops and bangs" do you get to choose from low, medium and high when you get the Manic map?
Or can you choose after getting the manic map? Also what's the difference between low, medium and high?
amapolishplummer you can choose 3 performance maps with different options when you get your Manic ecu flash.
Simply choose the map you wanna run on the SPS Switch Unit and rip it. It takes only a couple seconds to switch between the mappings..
A lot of options can be changed: duration of the pops&bangs (from 2-5 seconds), boost pressure, throttle response, etc.
When you said medium pops and bangs did you mean you selected a medium duration? So like 3.5 seconds?
You can't actually make the pops and bangs louder or quieter can you?
Also with the SPS switch unit can you change the horsepower output, so for example have map 1 run standard 210hp for rainy/snowy conditions but have map 2 and 3 run full power?

You can change the duration by choosing the appropriate map you want. The intensity is equal in all the mappings.
I choose the P&B Option only activated by pressing the sport button.
I got 4 mappings in total:
- Stock
- Map A (250hp / 350nm)
- Map B (265hp / 360nm)
- Map C (275hp / 380nm)
How do the pops and bangs work, as soon as you release the gas it starts from any rpm or do you have to go above a certain rpm for them to start?
Also I know there's a BBQ mode where it shoots flames but you need a decat for that right? Is there no way of having flames with a sports cat?
amapolishplummer yes! When the rpm's drop and you're still in gear the P&B starts. This function is the same as the stock one but much more intense.

That’s the OEM gear shift indicator from MINI with was an factory option back in 2009.
Welche möglichkeiten habe ich, um die Leistung besser auf die Straße zu bringen? 265ps auf der Vorderachse sind schon krass.
17 zoll 215er werden da gut kämpfen müssen.
Der Mini hat grundsätzlich eine gute Traktion und mit ordentlichen Reifen geht das auch ohne weitere Modifikationen.
Aufm Track sieht das schon etwas anders aus - da kann eine schöne Drexler Differenzialsperre Wunder bewirken!

Ich nutze die Brodit Proclip Halterung - es handelt sich um ein zweiteiliges System mit einem Halter passend für das Fahrzeug und einer Halterung passend für das jeweilige Handy.
Bei Fahrzeug- oder Handywechsel kann man den jeweiligen Teil der Halterung dann einfach wechseln.

Ich bin die OEM JCW Anlage in Verbindung mit einer 200 cpsi Downpipe gefahren. Software war von Manic Motorsport, die gibt es aber nicht mehr... wenn es dir nur um die deaktivierte Schubabschaltung geht, dann gibt es jedoch viele andere Tuner die das auch machen können.

benjamin le but you can buy a K&N Apollo Intake and add a 90 degree angle tube at the bottom to connect the oem pipe.... That's pretty much the same!
how long have you been running a tune like this I want the pops and bangs but my r56 is my daily and only driver.
Don’t go to crazy on a daily or at least make it switchable via sport button like me. Usually I don’t have the pops and bangs activated because it drives you nuts at some point! It’s only for presentation purposes like in this video..

Genau, ich hatte damals einen neuen Serienlader eingebaut. Ladedruck waren je nach Leistungsstufe 1,3-1,5 Bar maximal. Ich bin aber fast nur mit dem 1,4 Bar Mapping gefahren, so auch hier im Video.

Auf der mittleren Leistungsstufe bei 33 Grad Außentemperatur habe ich 13,1 Sekunden per GPS gemessen. Auf der höchsten Leistungsstufe und mit 102 Oktan werden mittlere 12er Zeiten drin sein.

FJ Sampaio I was upset by the guys who switched to the fast lane for no reason and blocked me off when I tried to measure the 100-200 time.
This behavior is very common in Germany even though you're must drive on the right lane except you overtake someone.
