I love the joy on your face when driving that beast. I just got a 2010 R56 S 78k miles and am buying stuff like crazy for it. Timing Chain went within 3 weeks of buying it. Clutch went at 84k miles. Added new tires and power stop brakes, a racing Intercooler and KN cold air intake system. New Plugs, New water pump new LED marker lights and LED fog lights. New struts. Now, I am looking for a upgraded turbo, maybe a catless downpipe, then a Tune. Id like to get this go-cart up to 250 HP, which I think will be a terror on wheels at 2300 lbs. I just hope nothing else breaks down, because its very frustrating.
What is weird to me about my mini is that it seems like I'm doing 35 when I'm actually doing 45-50. I constantly have to check my speed. In other small cars I've driven, it seemed the opposite.
Feel exactly the same!! It's because of all the impulses you get. The engine's noise, the feedback from the wheels, and being so low to the ground... You actually feel you are going fast more compared to any other car. I love my R53 Mini Cooper S...
I am really struggling with why you have under 75k subscribers when your content is so well put together. This Lohen mini stuff was brilliant and I really felt the power of the car just from your presentation. I absolutely rate Martin and Moog on Mighty Car Mods and I was wondering if it would work if you involved, on camera, a like minded enthusiast not all the time but just to spark off against each other. Mrs PP is brilliant in her odd appearances so it definitely works. I absolutely love your channel so getting you to 100k would be brilliant.

I got a 240hp F56 and it's the second most fun car I've ever driven next to an 1800 NB MX5 with ITB's and a fire spitting exhaust. Thankfully I got the F56 before the euroneutering so it also pops which always brings a smile to my face.
Good stuff. I often see this car and the other demos on the roads here abouts. It's good to know what's under the bonnet. Tip for the next time you're driving a car round here. At the start of your drive, when you reached the first mini roundabout in Eccleshall you went straight on. If you had turned right that would have put you on an absolutely mega road, towards Loggerheads. Much more of a test of a car and much more lightly trafficked than the one you chose.

Hi Ped All credit to Lowen for a superb engineering exercise on a Mini, AWSOME👍👍Any would be purchaser should have to sign a health & safety declaration absolving Lowen. The short shift gear change looks a winner. Final thought for such a highly modified car it appeared almost civilised😉

Fantastic Mini. I bet they have pilled in about £30 - £40k on this thing. Put us out of our misery, what is the total build cost so far? Parts cost, Labour costs? R&D time costs? Sorry if that sounds boring to every other Pedler but fascinates me.
Love a project car and front splitters are sexy. I once had a go in early 2003 in Jabba Sports mk4 golf GTI putting out close to 500hp. Mental just didn't describe it, stupidly quick but smile inducing. Remembering these cars ran the 1.8 litre 20v engine in normal guise running 150hp.... I was there having my 02 vRS Octavia having stage 2 remap.
They quite cheap nd easy do modify tbf, intercooler, cold air intake, decat theres 260bhp, upgrated turbo around 300, upgrade camshafts nd u r close to 350-400

Great to see a UK based company tuning the r56 to its limits. Let’s hope there is not a No Deal and Boris gets the oven ready Brexit deal over the line and future MINI models continue to be built in the UK. I’m sure if BMW group move MINI production to the EU and close their Oxford plant as some predict in the event of No Deal that small niche employers like Lohen will still thrive due to great products like this but I’d prefer it if we get a deal and volume car manufacturing continues in the UK 🇬🇧 as that will safeguard more UK jobs 😀

Hi Peter perhaps yourself and lohen could collaborate and give Charlie clubman 400bhp because only 4wd can be used relatively safely with that much power, you never know they might say yes.
Great build though I feel like it's a bit over the top. Pushing 400 horses through front wheels is just too much imo. I wouldn't go over 270 on a fwd car. What it needs is an all time AWD and some proper antilag. That would make it a proper weapon
I would say thats pretty close to my Saab 9000 Aero which you want to review. (ive sent you an email by the way). Although i think my Saab its a tad quicker than that. Especially the 70-100 in 3.5 seconds bit.You really have to hold on for dear life. But in normal driving its super refined and comfortable. Ive done 830 miles this week and its just the most awesome thing to drive.

The OEM JCW Recaros are supportive and comfy but don't exactly look smashing (and are, anyway, impossible to find used).The Cobra Nogaros look like they hit all the marks, including being aesthetically pleasing. [I'm fitting to a 2012 JCW R58] Thanks for posting the vid/review of "Chilli"!

My old mate had a mini pick up with a lotus engine and gearbox. It had about 350hp and was stripped out. Regularly shocked superbike riders !!

Pops and bangs are typically put into a map. They just didn’t bother with Chilli as she is just about POWER 😜
