Love your work, it looks really good. However i would make just a tiny change. Since it's a vice where you would often change the span of jaws, you could try making a "quick release" on this one. "Pask Makes" channel is using those in some of his woodworking vices and made a few good clips on how to create them. Just put in your youtube search "pask makes quick release" and you will find those clips.

It was fun to try to figure out what he was making. Right near the end it became evident that it was a tool, and not until he actually used did I understand what it was. Nice.
that sure is a good scrap pile, I could make stools and all manner of things from a good pile like that. I even make small items like dowels, key ring fobs, ear rings etc etc. from tiny bits
