Today was my first run in the Glycerin 20 and what a change from the past! Bouncy and lots of cushion. The NB 1080 v12 brought about a sharp pain on the ball of my right foot and top of the arch. I’m going Glycerin 20. Haven’t said that about a Brooks in 10 years!
I have owned both shoe's for over a month and I think the Brooks are more comfortable but the New Balance locks your foot in place better and I fell I have more support. After seeing other videos on the New Balance I did go down half a size and I'm glad I did, they fit perfect. New Balance for the win. 👍🏽
Got the 1080v11 and love them, perfect fit for me. Training for the Chester marathon which will be the third Chester event this year, 10k, half marathon already done and pb's in both. Plus do the 3 runs and get an extra medal for doing the triple. Using the Velocity Nitro 2 for daily training and rotating with 1080v11. Another great video, keep them coming
Glycerin 20 with Stealthfit upper (alternate upper) will be the one to consider. I think it will be more fun to run than the traditional upper that you reviewed. Some other reviewers received samples with Stealthfit upper but at the moment it is not available at least at the Brooks US site.
Hi, I don't know if I pronate more or not. I have just started training/running, heavyweight, height 1.85cm. Not looking for race or long marathons, just for daily 10km walk plus intermittent runs. Which would you recommend? GLYCERIN 20 REGULAR, OR WITH GTS? And apart from Glycerin, which shoe? Also considering Speed 3. I could buy two pairs, if it would help. Thanks!
Fab review on both the shoes definitely prefer the new balance 1080v12 over the brooks. Looking at doing Abingdon marathon in October Boston qualifier also one on the 3rd October. Keep making awesome videos
@@FordyRuns yeah I ended up with somehow getting the On Cloudmonster and the asics gel nimbus24 cause brooks was postponed every time . No regrets tho very nice shoes both .
I had the 1080V10 but my dog ate them..just had a few runs in them but loved them. Then ordered the 880V11 but they felt heavy for me. Have now ordered the 1080V12.. Waiting for the post to arrive 👍🏻
They're comfy and durable. I feel like most of their shoes aren't good for racing in as they aren't very responsive, but they're def good for daily training / recovery

Great video thanks. You ever thought of doing long term reviews? No one has done a 300 mile rebel 2 review that I can find
There are some great channels that do them like FOD runner. It’s defo something we can look to do for sure thanks for the feedback
I love that you mentioned people who can only afford 1 pair of shoes. If that we’re you, where would put your money? (stability) Thanks 🙏🏼
A 4 hour later second! I was actually curious about the brooks I wasn't that new balance cause my morev3 I'm not super impressed by the foam.
Brooks aren’t as bad as feared but I prefer the nb

Would be interesting to see the Asics Novablast 2 vs the New Balance 1080v12
I’ll grab the NB3 and then compare

The V12's are pretty heavy too. Actually it ways the same as my MORE V3...incredible
Sneaky mention of the Triumph at the end! hahah
🤣
1080 love it
Ran a 10k yesterday and I reckon around 75% of the runners were Brooks, why oh why would you?…but fair play people must love them for some reason….
They get given them in running stores when gate analysis done
Your absolutely right.
