People forgot or never lived thru these shows in the early 2000 ...yes it jumps from one project to another thats what keep you watching every weekend..yes there is alot of commercials and selling stuff ...its part of it us that watched these as a kid appreciate these shows being posted
i used to watch this after school every day. i learned so much. trucks was such a great show
I like the early extreme 4x4 episodes as well but I'm happy to see more uploads of Trucks! again. I loved this show as a kid. This show... and Stacy's way of laying out a project and being creative is what layed the groundwork for me getting my first project truck even. Hell I knew I was going to want to become a mechanic at a really really young age but the shows on TNN and the early years of spike. Those helped that desire grow even
Those custom intake pipes looked bad in my opinion. The straight intake tubes looked better.
I agree
Looks like a good way to pick up road debris from the front tire
Seats turned out fantastic!
I’ve been watching Stacey David since 98/99.
I know a first class sergeant, drove a yj jeep 2500 miles from Montana to Alaska without even stopping for gas. He would like this truck.
Must have had a huge gas tank!!
Never could find the video of this project running and driving.
Never got to see this one finished.
It went to Gearz
Two years ago that is sweet the Little Red Wagon would like to have that sitting in my driveway that little red wagon wheat
The Intake pipes would create a vacuum pulling air out of the intake....
I thought the same. Theis are probably the worst intake set up I've ever seen. Not only that hot air rises and their directly over the roasting hot exhaust.
Love It ! Love Trucks 🤩🤠
Can't wait for next video
12:50 that's Bernt from Boyd's Coddington Garage
Nowhere near the end of Sgt. Rock. End of it on power block, but hell he's still working on it on ⚙ gearz.
I understand how shows use to be back in the bad but today, if the title is about project sgt rock, that's what I want to see. Not the status update of an unrelated project, unrelated ads, and unrelated history lesson. Was only partially interesting for the first 6 minutes...could have done without the rest.
Agreed, no wonder each project takes 12 years to complete OR they abandon them altogether on powerblock, etc.
Not sure why this video is labelled as Payoff of Sgt Rock. This truck was never completed on Trucks! This truck project wasn’t officially completed until season 9 of Stacey’s current show Gearz
I would love to see the entire build of big blaze. All I can find is the payoff test
Drive show. Any ideas??
Miss the old Stacy David, you know the guy who use to build not just peddle like a SEMA show.
How was this the pay off? He bolted on pipes then the rest of the episode was a commercial sprinkled with random maniacal laughter.
This was as far in the build he got while he was still on Trucks!.
He only finished the truck in the last two years.
@@joshlawrence4512 my point was, why did they call it the "payoff"? Nothing was finished before he died.
@@FreddyFunderbunz the use of calling it a pay off was maybe the wrong wording. It was the final episode on the show before he left and took it with him. He's alive still though haha
@@joshlawrence4512 r.i.p. Stacy David. 1950-2000
@@FreddyFunderbunz haha I follow ya. I still like gears a lot though since then
Stacy "I say Now a lot" David
He's such a legend😁
I say "is that cool or what?" now
George Barris wants his intake idea back that you got from the Munster mobile.
When I think of a real American, i think of someone pretty close to you. Love watching sgt rock take shape
Stacey now has his own UA-cam channel for his show Gearz, and just posted the full build series for Sgt. Rock... The half he did for Gearz anyway.
drink when he chuckles....
Which is....every other word. I noticed that too.
Stacy "HEHE" david
Plastered b4 the 1st commercial break.
No offense, but this wasn't exactly a payoff...this truck was FAR from done at this point. Payoff...not so much.
Dustin Parks it was for Trucks .
Because he was getting down to the end of his run on this show.
Probably the last time this project was on trucks, he moved onto his own show.
Should've called it Jerk off
You need a wood steering wheel for that truck
I run the car maintenance UA-cam channel in Korea. I'm always learning such a great ideas on your channel. I hope we have a chance to be together. Thank you.
Sorry for the lose of jessie. She was a pretty cool lady. 😪
Sergeant Rock Army ®
I wonder what ever happened to project hairy hauler and I wonder if project wicked Willys is still in his family.
First chevy v8 was in 1917. Series d. I don't know why they forget that
This show is nothing but a one long commercial
way too many commercials. iam outa here
Aight I'ma head out
One long commercial, w/o any more done w/ the truck in the title, "Sgt. Rock payoff." Can you say "annoying"?
P.S. Have you actually done ANT of the work on these projects?
Lmao I know.. All he does is pitch products...
One big commercial but nonetheless it is still interesting to watch.
Whatever happened to the hairy hauler?
Damn you guys jump all over the place.. its like parts of different shows all randomly mixed together.
welcome to the early 00's a era you clearly never experienced, these shows were filmed from the 90's to about 2007ish
Yeah, I've noticed none of these shows run in order. So annoying.
Number 1
Did I miss the payoff?
all that cool stuff looks super , but can the average guy afford it ? ---all that stainless , custom welded and polished has lots of 0's in the price tag
Shit, the engine alone is prolly $20,000. Such unrealistic budgets for real people.
money money money money
don't ever use those tiny race car steering wheels on a big truck . Trust me you will wreck your truck if you do
Thought this was about Sgt Rock. Guess not.
Naming vehicles is still so weird to me.
Sick truck but wtf is up with the guns?
Cartel build I suppose
Agreed, SO unnecessary and cheesy as crap.
Stacy, I know you had to keep the show interesting but....was the fake laughter after every word you said, really that necessary?
they have NOTHING for the s10 of ANY year so much for that sponsor call out -_- stainless works only cares about engine swaps
Too much talking and not enough building. Boring.
So annoying! Taking 12 years to finish Sgt Rock then the munsters/ dick dale segway truck takes up the remainder of the show.
🍒
The truck chrome intakes slanting downward defeats the advantage that the upright stacks would have given him: straight down no-bends air intake. I can't watch him anymore, it's all about getting attention for himself and his 'creativity' on his vehicles. Sorry fans.
Blah, Blah, Blah...small block chevy crap. They only thing they introduced was CHEAP (price and quality). I spent more time waiting for them to be cleaned up off the track than actually racing. The reason they have won so much is because they are cheap to build (expensive to hold together). Most over-rated, under-powered boat anchors in the big 3...guess why they were in the vettes (also the most over-rated, under-powered but over-priced piles on the road)! Good show but that GM commercial in the middle ruined it!
i think you need a cold shower your bias, ignorance and stupidity is showing
I noticed you went on that biased rant, but never mentioned what you feel to be superior.
Show us on the chart where that small block chevy hurt you. (I.e. spanked that 30,000 dollar custom hemi at an 1/8 the cost)
@@JustStayingGroovy the only hurt was stealing my day while waiting for them to be cleaned up of the track most of the day.
@@sparkplug1018 Dodge should have a dodge engine, Ford did have a ford engine, etc
We need a model of that hairy hauler Stacy can you git revell back to do that truck
