If finding the right firmness is a challenge for you, the Saatva Solaire could be the perfect solution. This product includes an air chamber in the base area that you can use to increase and decrease pressure until you arrive at the perfect firmness for your needs and preferences. The best news is that this product can be taken apart layer-by-layer, thus allowing for replacements of a specific material rather than the entire mattress.
How’s This Different than Sleep Number?
Sleep Number offers a very similar product to the 360 i8 Smart Bed. In a nutshell, they both allow you to adjust the firmness using air pressure. However, there are quite a few differences, and it’s important to understand them before you make your decision.
If you’re not convinced, consider this… these two products are very similar, but the Saatva Solaire is about $1,000 bucks cheaper!
Let’s take a look at the differences:
Saatva doesn’t charge extra for remotes.
Saatva doesn’t charge for setup or mattress removal.
Saatva includes five years all parts and labor while 360 i8 Smart Bed only offers two.
360 i8 Smart Bed doesn’t include the durability-enhancing moisture barrier that Solaire does.
Saatva has a longer sleep trial.
Solaire features an internal air pump as opposed to the outside housing of the 360 i8 Smart Bed.
Upper-Flex Option for Increased Sleep Partner Compatibility
If you have a sleep partner, you have the option to choose Saatva’s Upper-Flex version of the Queen or King Solaire mattress. With this option, the head of the mattress will be split, and this allows you to move the top of your mattress up and down independently of your sleep partner. They also include two air chambers, so each side of the mattress can be adjusted for firmness. For sleep partners with highly different needs or preferences, this can be an awesome capability.
The ultimate decision is a big one, and we’re here to help you make the right one. During the course of our complete video review of the Saatva Solaire Upper Flex Queen mattress, just some of the aspects we’ll cover include:
    Complete layer lineup
    Edge support
    Breathability
    Motion isolation
    Motion transfer reduction
    And much more!

The Solaire “might” be a great mattress but don’t expect to get one fast. We are at the 8 week mark since we ordered and have had NO communication on when it will be delivered. Staff is friendly when calling the customer service # but I keep getting “next week the distributor should call you”...then “next week”...”next week”... ad nauseam :(

Just finished a conversation with their chat representative. They offer a 180 day return policy with the $99 handling fee. HOWEVER, if you bought the Lineal Adjustable Base then you're stuck with that. That's a $2400 expenditure you will not be refunded. Nah, I'm good.

May I ask why you want to return?

This bed just passes okay. there no depth. its slats not one bag. pressure doesn't stay consistent. the control does not stay controlling..you have to check and adjust it seems every other day...Its not a waveless softside. You can get a kingcoil that a notch better. for the money I would say no to the Solaire. way way way over priced like the sleep number...
