I made the hat with same yarn weight and hook sizes and hat fit my very tiny 18 months old granddaughter. Didn't even come close to fitting me when I followed your video for stitch count!

I finally finished making this hat in projects on Ravelry as "wheat4"...just lov the pattern and how different it is from the woven hearts beanie in Ravelry. I added 6 more to my hat due to the "premier everyday dk" yarn I was using. I had a bit of trouble sorting out the second set of wheats but I just followed 25 or so stitches of the pattern per row from the first sets and paid attention to your beginnings and endings. Thanks so much for your vids...they are well done.

I love this hat! I was making one of your other cable knit hats and I ran out of yarn. I looked everywhere for it, but no one has it. I’m waiting for an email from Joann to let me know when it’s back in stock. Lesson learned; NEVER start a project without having enough yarn. 🤦🏻♀️😂

Thank you for creating this wonderful tutorial! I have a DK weight merino wool yarn that I want to use. I would say that I use average tension when crocheting. What size hook do you think I should use to create a women’s size hat that’s on the larger side? Thanks!

I love the patter, it looks amazing yet I wish there was a written patter that I can follow, I tried following your instructions step by step but I gave up after doing it for 5 times. My brim doesn't match up on the double crochet's, I counted and counted but it doesn't match up. Do you have any written patterns?
Sorry, I don't have yet. If I have one, I will let you know. 😽
You can add an extra double crochet and the hat works up perfectly. That's what I had to do, hope that helps.

I tried making poms poms following your tutorial, but I guess I didn't buy the right kind of bulky yarn, so my pom pom doesn't look that puffy...
I use bigger pompom maker. Maybe it's because of this. Glad you like this one too 😻😽

In the beginning of those slip stitches you said to make 9 slip stitch(1st row) but in the 2nd row you said make 8 slip stitch. Is it supposed to be 8 slip stitch?
