That's because it was at Carpenter's Crossing eastbound, where the steam train normally stops for the ghost whistle, and the crossing activates basically last minute.
Okay what you guys didn’t know is that 406 is not an F40PHR It’s a Former GO Transit F40PH built in 1985 The F40PHR’s are numbered 230 to 361 And Amtrak Bought 52 Units from GO Transit and 406 is ONE OF THEM
That would be interesting. 2 passenger cars and 3 baggage/freight cars. Nice engines as well. Wonder I wonder if one of them will be part of the display :)
Is this what became of #406 after she left the Pere Marquette line in July? I've been wondering that! 1:03 Fool, you blew your chance at seeing a rare sight, as if risking death wasn't bad enough!
Seeing an F40 on a line like Strasburg seems so anachronistic!! I still wouldn't try to beat it over a crossing despite it not moving fast! I'm also amazed those full-length coaches can take that curve before Leaman Place! They just HAD to put that slug at the end, didn't they! Funny thought: run that train over the Ma & Pa!!
It is a 'control' or 'position indicator' signal having to do with the alignment of the switch at Groff's Grove passing siding. It is not an automatic signal, not giving the condition of the block.
Nice completely non-functional decorative block signal that should display red for this movement. A complete waste of money, electricity AND gives novice railroad enthusiasts the wrong impression of what an occupied block indication should look like!
Very nice to see the F40PH's operate on the Strasburg Railroad! It sucks they don't run them anymore.
These were the good days, I miss 822, one of my favorite locos
Same
Goodbye 406 and 822! We're miss you two.
Same
That was awesome! I wish I would have gone there that day. Thumbs up!

Amazing catch! Put on a 1st Gen. K5LA on both and you're all set.
Cool video! Saw my first heritage unit today. It was 184 with 822 on train 87.
That's because it was at Carpenter's Crossing eastbound, where the steam train normally stops for the ghost whistle, and the crossing activates basically last minute.
Thanks for the love! You are always top notch!

AMAZING HORN FROM BOTH ENDS IVE BEEN TRYING TO GET THAT FOR YEARS NOW LOL
It's weird seeing that kind of train going down vintage rails like that.

@@BaltimoreAndOhioRRalso happy 14th anniversary of your channel
@@OfficialSEIC2K6 Thanks!! 💚💚
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR No Problem :]
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRRoh and also happy 10th anniversary of this video. The video is now 10 years

I know this is part two because that Amtrak Train was pulled by that Amtrak Sunset Limited Train
Sweet upload :D I have to see how mine turned out lol.
Amtrak F40PHR # 406 NPCU With 1992 American Nathan K5LA AirChime Airhorn
I love bell crossing.
Awesome
Nice rare catch!
Amtrak's one year older than my dad 😂
Amtrak’s 75 days older than my dad
Nice catch, weird how the gate took forever to go down
Great video but there's no one inside the cab of GE P40DC 822 its pretty weird but it could be ghost engineer.
Tonys Amtrak Train Videos There was someone, there was a crew operating inside, otherwise the horn would've never been blown.
TRAINS FOR YOU Lol don't worry. I took another of it, then I finally realized.
I don’t see anyone in there’s
Good video:)
awesome stuff:)
How did the amtrak get on the Strasburg railroad and does Amtrak own the Strasburg railroad?
It connects with an Amtrak line, and no, Amtrak does not own Strasburg Railroad.
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR oh ok
Is there a schedule for this on tour?
I want to know was this train rerouted for track work sight seeing or a derailment.appreciate your answers & filming.
it went to the strasburg station for a special train exhibit
Cool!
Nice! Why is that signal green? lol
Was that the Amtrak Exhibit train talking to Strasburg on there frequency or talking to the Amtrak Section A
strasburg
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR i figured it was one of them but if your amtrak how do change the radio from strasburg to home rails
@@riverlinerailphotoproductions I have a scanner. any frequency can be added.
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR I meant if you are Amtrak in terms of the diesel leader 822
@@riverlinerailphotoproductions im sure the radio in the cab can be changed to different channels
Good
AWESOME
I wish there was a steam locomotive traveling around the U.S. and Eroupe at 0-212MPH then 212-218MPH
0:03 ding ding ding lol
was there someone in 822 blowing the horn? Or was that controlled from 406?
i love it hello fam
Why are the ditching lights on
Ditch lights automatically flash when horn is activated.
nice cech
I hope to see it one day
Hopefully it had a stop and protect order.
The crossing activation was late it sounded like
what happend to amtrak p42dc lights on
Karla Rodriguez 822 is a P40DC, one of the first to made. Sadly, 822 is getting scrapped.
I saw it today on train 87.
That is a same one on rails unlimited
Sweet
THUMBS UP
+BaltimoreAndOhioRR you got horn salutes from both ends
CSX EMD RAILFAN hey fellas remember me
Railroad,Preserver,2000 yup
Don't see that much anymore.
406 doesn't like me. She keeps hissing at me when I see her.
where is this located?
Black Horse Road, Pennsylvania. in the description
Will this ever occur again?
Probably not
BaltimoreAndOhioRR Considering Amtrak discontinued the 40th Anniversary Train, it probably won’t.
You know 406 is a cabbage and 822 is the only engine powering the train
No 406 still has a engine in it. If it was a DVT it would of have sliding doors on the sides.
What’s dvt
