Imagine being as loyal as Ocelot. Literally gave up decades of his life fighting for Big Boss. Having to wait years for his “sons” to grow up so you can start your plans to free him. It’s so hard to think that if I was Ocelot in MGSV it would be hard for me to know how my next decades would have to go. I would feel so trapped that that’s all my life would consist of.

Honestly i can't understand ocelot's plan i mean why use snake to destroy the patriots instead of doing it himself since he is the boss of the pmcs
yuval cohen the patriots would have figured it out, and the game mentions that he didnt have the DNA to trick the WHOLE system into thinking that it was his, even though he controlled small arms and armament which the game also mentions. So the whole nuclear weapon trick was used as decoy because he knew that the patriots would do everything to try to stop him, and knowing that the patriots were responsible for assembling snake and his team, they were tricked into believing that hacking the system would shut liquids plans down, when in fact they figured out after the fact that it did the opposite
I love that as Eva grew older she even makes herself look like eh boss with that hairstyle and stuff,considering that boss trained her at a point when she was young.

that scene at the end always makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck, knowing how urgent it is for them to get big boss out alive and laying everything on the line to do so is just such an emotional moment. knowing his lover and clone are both by his side defending him as well. it doesn't take away from the reveal that big boss was alive all along as well, this is shizz shyamalan could only dream of pulling off

The quote at 25:16 gives me fucking chills. I spend most of my time playing tactical shooters like ARMA 3, Escape From Tarkov, Ground Branch, Zero Hour ECT... that all simulate different things about "Real Combat". Then those games influenced me to start playing airsoft, which to me is just a fun game I go to play. And Then I get a VR headset, to play Pavlov and H3VR and Onward to simulate real firearms in a game. I don't want to be a soldier, like not at all. But it's hard to deny the influence these games have really had on my life. They were dead on with this.

The world would've been different if Zero wasn't hit with the poison by Skullface, maybe the two would've reconciled and the AIs wouldn't have come to fruition
Ultimately neither ever got to speak to each other again, Zero's last words to Big Boss were when he was in a coma, and Big Boss' last words to Zero were when he was brain-dead
Reconcile with your brothers and everyone in general guys, you never know when it's the last time you'll speak to them

Just got to this part as I'm playing MGS4 for the first time. This was the grandest, best explanation of the series yet!

Yeah, Ikr? Wow. Talking about a pure and proud mother who gave her son in Solid Snake life in Eva aka Big Mama with a true purpose of honoring the Boss's will.

And at that point, as if the emotional impact of The Boss in MGS3 wasn't enough, the gravity of her influence hit home. Wrapped up with revelation that everyone who helped you in MGS3 *was* a Patriot founder, so many seemingly irrelevant radio calls and hints in Snake Eater hit home. MGS3 was at the time for me something of a filler, now in this scene everything fell into place.
That this scene took place mid-way through MGS4 really raised the stakes for the rest of the game. Kojima, you master.

actually big boss is better at CQC you can see that at the ending of this game when solid snake met the big boss ...BB(bigboss) easily disarmed solid snake not only that BB wasn't even trying to fight but who cares actually personally for me both of them are great...the only thing is SOLIDUS is the perfect clone for BB solid snake was the SUPERIOR clone because of his ways and thinking btw and genes too...LIQUID was the INFERIOR was because of his thinking and ways was like that of the BB or maybe because of his genes.....but who cares anyway we still like them all ^_^
Oh yeah, let's not forget that Snake was still trying to cope with the fact that he was a walking chemical bomb ready to explode at any time and kill everyone dear to him, his body was completely fucked up after all the events of the game and he just tryied to shoot himself, adding more physical and mental issues than he already had.
BB was just revived and knew he was going to die soon so he din't give a shit, his body was also in a better condition than Snake's.
It's rather stupid using that one scene as an example, especially since Snake had actually killed BB before, twice.

As if we already don't know that. Liquid is geneticaly superior to Snake for having Big Boss' dominant genes while Snake got the recessive ones. That however, didn't stop Snake from beating the ever living shit out of Liquid in MGS1.
Solidus on the other hand, got a perfect balance between the dominant and recessive genes, making him the perfect clone and the superior twin out of the three.
Say what you want bout Eva but that motorcycle and that side arm she kept in pristine condition. BigBoss picked himself winner back in his day.
Those bombshells of MGS3's Para-Medic and Sigint being Dr. Clark and DARPA Chief Donald Anderson respectively blew my mind. It was mentioned in the first Metal Gear Solid that Dr. Clark was killed two years prior to said game while the DARPA Chief was tortured to death by Revolver Ocelot before Solid Snake even got started and didn't catch on to the fact he had been played until after he had activated Metal Gear Rex.

@19:30 Sometimes you really do have to play earlier games in the franchise to appreciate certain references. I actually completed MGS4 before 3 so I didn't really think anything of her saying "Donald Anderson-also known as Sigint"; if I'd done MGS3 beforehand I think the reference would've hit right away. I daresay even when I did start playing MGS3 after 4 I still didn't know Sigint would later become the Darpa Chief because I had forgotten what she said about Sigint in MGS4 but when I decided to watch this today it all made sense. It just didn't really click with me that Sigint would later become the Darpa Chief Ocelot deliberately killed and was later impersonated by Decoy Octopus in MGS1. So not only did the Darpa Chief die right there on Shadow Moses; he also happened to be a founding member of the Patriots. The depth in this series is immense. :)

Bit of retcon with MGSV here, EVA says Zero recovered Gray Fox and Big Bosses bodies after Zanzibar and Big Bosses betrayal made him set up the AIs.. but Zero was long gone by the 80s through Skull Faces actions and passed things over to Donald Anderson and the AIs. They shouldnt have done MGS4 as the end of the series until they explored more of Big Boss's history
Could just be EVA not knowing Zero was long gone, considering how secretive he was all the way up to when he fully succumbed to the poison

I really love your videos, I sincerely do. I have yet to find any others like it. It has both cutscenes from the game and some of the transitioning gameplay so that it doesn't cut and is easier to piece together. I only wish for more, but again I'm in no position to tell you to do so.
