if you're that inclined to play them, then buy a PS3 that already had the PS2 games remastered on especially the PSP ones and GoW Ascension...
not every game needs to be re-released constantly especially when ppl complain about 'rEaMastErs' such as RDR1 etc. etc.
also the nature of remasters doesn't automatically make it better just because its 'uPScaLEd' more than the original, take the DMC remastered collection and you'll find ppl complaining about how it neutered itself overall compared to the OG PS2 era of DMC, the 8th gen re-released remasters is worse than the 7th gen aka the PS3/Xbox 360 era of the DMC remaster collection...

I remember completing God of War 3 on the Steam Deck, it was too slow but at least I got to try it. After that, the pc port of God of War from 2018 was just great.

The original psp version i think required an overclock to run well

You can lock GPU frequency on 900 or 1200 mhz, it will allow you to play at 25 - 30 fps in GOW 3 on rpcs3!
Steam deck for some reason lock GPU frequency at 200 mhz :(

I think RPCS3 at full speed will be a step too far for even Steam Deck 2, TBH.
I get 40 fps with low settings reflections on original. Only area where it struggles is the water world. Mind you, anisotropic is cpu intensive in this game iirc.
Anything after ps2........it goes to shit. Playstation 5 for god of war 3 and god of odin......didnt want u to get comfused lol
