I really love the way the exterior and interior looks, I think Porsche have nailed it with this one. And if the cheapest version also happens to have the most range, I see it as an absolute win.
The max speed in Range Mode can be configured up to 135kph. The passenger display is useful if you have the maps up in central display a copilot can hunt down additional waypoints and when added appear in central display. Also they can fiddle with Media. I am happy with the option. I do have Sport Chrono, PTV+, Air Suspension, PDCC, larger battery and 20" wheels on a 4S. I agree with your analysis, the car is miles above a Tesla but if you just want specs for the best price T* can't be beat.
Imo the front lights of this porsche are prettiest one of all cars produced in the last 10 years... especially for a Porsche which has been producing almost the same cars for nearly 20 years.

I bought a base taycan just for its simplicity, pure concept, pure Porsche feeling, don't need anything else, is enough for driving imho. I don't think rear steering wheel is an essential option.
We have the Same car w/technology pkg and 3rd screen. On a road trip wife can see the audio program while the Navigation Map is on the middle screen. Terrific highway cruiser. Plenty of range even with the 21” big meats 305 rear tires.
Interestingly, you mentioned that the Taycan looks like an angry frog. That's exactly how I've always felt about the design of the 911 supercars. They look like toads/frogs, to me. I love the design of the Taycan, though.
And to make even better news, Porsche is working on a Station wagon version of the Taycan, it's been spotted around a bit so they're going full force with different body styles which is always great to see with new cars and how well they are selling

Big Like for an angry frog....i didn't thought that i'll say this ever in my life for an EV but....i like that frog. It's not pretending that it is something that it's not. I absolutely hate that fake sound but hopefully it could be turned off. I like the fact that frog wants to bite, if you are not careful with the throttle you could pay for that, i like it very much.
In the future price will be halved. Edit: well maybe not halved but as technology progresses and other manufacturers start using the same tech it will surely go down

Just get the Cross Turismo 4 because nobody else makes such a car and you get the air suspension, second motor and the big battery with it, so the price difference is negligable.
You should definitely try both. I felt the Base Taycan was underpowered, it has about 203 torque without launch control compared to 387 torque on the 4s without launch or the performance battery. I couldn't tell the weight difference when test driving either they're both super heavy.
Oh man why the Nissan leaf looks so Girly and plumpy like... :/ I miss the agressive Japanese style, like in Mazda. Holy God the Mazda 3 and 6 look so good, like a Japanese Warrior. The design team of Mazda is without doubt very talented.

It is losing money on car production every single quarter and is so heavily in debt. It only survives because investors are emotionaly sticking with the brand and it is slightly cultish style of financing :-) We will see how it will behave in a super crisis that arrives almost for sure 2021-2023...
I am missing more "real range" talk in extreme scenarios like this pov and others. Next time try to inform us more in this area. Nice drive otherwise. I would go for the basic Taycan rwd and no perf. battery.
Just ordered a Taycan RWD (Sport Turismo). More than enough power for daily use. Had a Model 3 Performance before, much faster, but hardly ever used the power. Comfort with the air-suspension is insanely comfortable. Ps. €110 wil not cut it :p many things are optional of course, it’s a German car 😂
