Another captivating and interesting video. I enjoy all of your videos, and I must say your driving skills never cease to amaze me. If it was an Olympic competition, you'd take the Gold everytime. In answer to your questions: (1) How do I feel in the center of the megacity? I've never experienced a place like that. I think I'd probably feel nervous and claustrophobic being surrounded by so many vehicles, motorcycles, people, display stands in the streets and what looks to be some kind of organized chaos. I think it would be like being in a whirlpool with no quick escape. I'll say this, the people keep it moving, that's for sure. (2) Would I enjoy walking or riding there? No. I have no desire to be in that part of Lagos if I was to visit there. But to watch it is fascinating. I would not want to make that walk or ride everyday. I think it would make for a very hard and stressful life.
thanks a lot for your comment and for your answers here. i really understand "this nervous and claustrophobic " feeling. it has happen to me sometimes at the beginning of my travels, when i started to meet places crowded like this in India or many other countries. All these people do not frighten me, on the contrary they reassure me. Whatever is portrayed in the media, and perhaps even more so when it comes to Nigeria, is often aimed at scaring viewers or readers, to create buzz. In fact, apart from the violent, sad news items... there is something we don't talk about much: humanity. I have faith in humanity, I mean, I know that in all this crowd there are 99.9 percent people like me, trying to make their way, in these streets but also in life, among their peers, with respect, mutual aid and love for others. I know that these 99.9 percent of people would be there to help me, support me at the slightest problem. Yes, I understand your feeling, it has unfortunately become common, because we are fed bad news all day long. The balance is completely unbalanced, we never put forward the positive aspects, which are largely in the majority.
If we as Africans do not set basic standards of living for ourselves, how on earth could we expect the rest of the world to see us as the powerhouse we are as a continent? The amount of garbage, filth, chaos and disorder on some of the streets of Lagos is evidence of a very dysfunctional municipal governance system, if any at all, and a people who are not demanding the basics from their leaders. Street vending is usually a vibrant part of urban life, you see it even in New York, but this is ridiculous! There are so many Nigerians of all ages out of work, put them to work to provide basic services for themselves. Lagos is the richest state in Nigeria and the smallest in size; it is also the first live impression of Nigeria/Africa for many international travelers. Lagos should be able to prioritize and afford basic sanitation. Come on Nigeria, as the most populous black nation on earth, if you raise your level of consciousness enough to consider this an unacceptable standard for yourselves, it would have a ripple effect on Africa and for black people all around the world. Take a page from Rwanda’s book, please!
he he i wish people could get rid of the stress and just enjoy the beauty of people with a nice bike and nice people it is always fine :) thanks so much for your support brother !
Can you imagine if Lagos State government actually builds a market for all these streets traders and shoppers? Can you imagine if all these streets are then cleaned up? Ludo, great job as usual!
@@african-history-fountain If there are existing markets, enough to accommodate all these people, then all Lagos State government has to do is outlaw street shacks, street sellers and street trading. "everything will be fine" is a good start😉. It's great to drive when the roads are controlled by traffic lights. I see a lot of garbage on the roads😔. I liked the video, especially amazing when you drive in the evening, by the light of lanterns, the tops of palm trees and high-rise buildings.
There is street light in most of the average to high brow areas…he took you through the hustle and bustle part of the city..which is Eko idumota..and around Marina you have high rise building, street lights and the likes

I don't know if my nerves would allow me to ride with you but I really enjoyed it 😃😀😄
Glad you enjoyed it!
by the way there is no need to be stressed in the streets of Lagos.
Yes it is busy and noisy, and chaotic, but so peaceful and welcoming at the same time
"everything will be fine" is a good start😉. It's great to drive when the roads are controlled by traffic lights. I see a lot of garbage on the roads😔. I liked the video, especially amazing when you drive in the evening, by the light of lanterns, the tops of palm trees and high-rise buildings.
thanks a lot for the warm feedback
There is street light in most of the average to high brow areas…he took you through the hustle and bustle part of the city..which is Eko idumota..and around Marina you have high rise building, street lights and the likes
@@akandebabatunde1005 Thank you for a short educational program)
Lagos is a crazy citybut i love it,all the hustle and bustle, only the traffic can make you sick sometimes.

I'm getting my stuff ready to document Lagos and the surrounding areas for May.
weldon ! you'll for sure enjoy
i'll be around if you want to meet !
Nostalgia ! I used to have a clinic on Idumagbo Avenue few years ago. There are markets all over with several hundred thousands of traders and buyers everywhere. It’s a beehive of activities with the hustle and bustle everyday.
thanks a lot for your feedback Sir, yes Idumagbo is one of the busiest place on the Island, life never stops.
I am glad you appreciated the video
Another great urban adventure.
thanks a lot !
Your a maniac driver. Great views of the city!

Lagos launches Adopt-A-Bin Initiative - March 2022
The Govt. of Lagos has purchased 40,000 smart bins to upgrade its waste management system. The smart bins will facilitate a recycling program designed to generate employment, revenue, and enhance the environment. Their education program around recycling and waste management is targeting local communities and will be even rolled out in primary schools to educate young children on the value of a clean environment. Kudos to the Government and people of Lagos.
I was there in Jan. 29:10 was the little shops I bought some clothes at. I walked that road for half a mile it seemed. It's a different world but everyone is pretty nice.
Thanks a lot for the feedback, this is Marina road
Ha! We've never yet found an obstacle that can defeat your mighty bike 🏍 !
ah ah ah thanks broth ! welcome back ! long time no see :)
Oh WOW!!!
It’s one’s of the mostly difficult that you’ve ride on market areas!!!!
You’re lucky that you ride free from crowding areas!!!! I was late because I came home from shopping and personal issue.
Next time, cover your mask 😷 while you’ll riding anywhere in Africa. That’s frustrating for you to get out of streets.
Freedom Park? That’s party, huh? Great job, fellow!!! 👍✌️☮️
Thanks for sharing Ludo Liu. I wish they can clean the streets.
thanks a lot, almost all the garbage you see are collected during the night, before another day
1. Its rush hour I give you a broom and dare you to clean that place up during that traffic and the 36°c sun Goodluck
2. Thats the market area so yes things get dropped on the floor a lot but I'm sure you watched from 30:00 all the none market roads were neat
When you have experience 9ja then you have experience
yes kind of, that s true !
waiting...
the premiere will start Sunday.

Total chaotic madness.
welcome to Lagos!
People have to work together to co-exist like this.
yeah definitively, brotherhood means something here
May you always be protected, This was my first time watching and I was ducking and dodging all the traffic with you. Does this go on day and night or is there a block off time? It’s madness but they are doing what they gotta do. Loved it all❤️
