You without a doubt have the best most detailed tutorials . I appreciate The time and effort you take , it allows the rest of us to make superb looking bags. Thanks
Beginner here- I stumbled upon another bag tutorial of yours last night. THANK YOU! You explain things so well without dumbing it down too much. I follow and hang on every word. I can't wait to get to work on something step by step with your videos. Your fabric choices are even in line with my style. I love this. New subscriber and repeat watcher. Going down the rabbit hole today while I'm at work.
Oh my word!, your fabric choices are perfect and I'm going to have to make this one!! I love how you teach - thank you for another fantastic easy to follow tutorial.
Wow! This bag is adorable and I can’t wait to make one. I can tell you already that without your tutorial I would not even be able to attempt this. Thank you!
Thanks, Jess! I really like this one. Great for travel in a bigger bag or backpack for sure.I will certainly be making one (or maybe more) of these very soon. You always make all of these bags seem easily doable. You are the best bag instructor on the interwebs!
I have been sewing for 40+ years and I am so excited to see young men and women starting to sew. Some of the young seamstresses terminology does give me a giggle sometimes.
I've had this pattern for a while now. So glad you are doing a tutorial on this one! 💙 🤗 How are you doing? Enjoying your new "1" job life??? I'm sure you are finding your way❣️
I was thinking about making this and using rfid blocking fabric in the flap. This would protect personal information on credit cards and other documents. It can be sewn hidden between layers of fabric. Of course, it is not ideal on the folded slots/pockets for the card strip. It would have to be in the backing and flaps. RFID fabric is a little pricey but, in the long run, can save money if you prevent identity theft. It can be strategic placed between lining and outer layers wherever you want the protection.
I love this pattern so much! I wish I could make this right now. I'm going on a cruise in 3 weeks but I know I don't have time to order everything I need and get it made in time. But, it would be so perfect. Woe is me. Thanks for the wonderful work on this one!
You weren't wrong when you say that the cutting is the hardest part. I found it unnecessarily confusing. I really like the finished product, so I've put notes on the pattern pieces to help me out if I make it again. I'm glad I didn't attempt this without your tutorial!
Just discovered your channel! Wow! You are fun, energetic and I can see I'll be learning from you! Thanks for making such fun videos. Can't wait to get started!
I love this wristlet, but I would make one slight modification to the flap. I would prefer to have the open edge of the ID pocket facing UP when the flap is closed. I'd be afraid of my ID / drivers license possibly slipping out if I somehow forgot to secure the flap completely. So, I'd probably sew the vinyl pocket on the side closest to the snap and leave the other end open. Just my thoughts.
I love your tutorials! I just started bag making and about to get the juki tl18qvp. I would love to see a tutorial on the bellezza bag from bag stock designs. Is that one coming soon? Thanks for all your hard work you explain everything so well!
I am wondering if the card pocket pieces could be made from really thin non fuseable interfacing ....or I have seen some ppl using landscape fabric for other projects?
I just love your tutorials. Thank you. I am curious about that top zipper. Why don't you just put a zipper tab on both ends instead of that 90 degree twist on the opening side? For me, the zipper tabs would be a lot easier and I like the look of them, but maybe I'm missing something.
I would put the opening for clear card ID slot on the other side, so when you open the flap, the card don't go flying away from you lol. I'm prone to loose things and that is a hazard 🤣
Quick question. If I use cotton canvas for the exterior and waterproof canvas for interior would you still suggest interfacing the cotton canvas? I just have a domestic machine.
I’ve noticed that when you put your zipper pull on you open one end and put it on. But the next picture shows both ends closed. Do you do something off camera to get your zipper that way?
I wish I had gone with my gut when I put the interfacing into the card slots. I would have only gone with half the interfacing, which would have made it easier to sew. I have a Bernina like you, and that pretty much sews through anything. Other than that a great pattern!
I must have missed something…. Why did you move the zipper in 5/8” at one end and cut the zipper off 5/8” at the other end?? Is there a purpose for that??
You could reduce bulk in the card slots by folding over one edge and top stitching it as long as it’s a non fraying material so it’s only one layer than a folded piece. If you fold it right you shouldn’t have any overlap with the card slot below.
Has anybody used RFD on these bags or wallets? I just feel more secure having the cards protected from identity thieves, but I don’t know how heavy the fabric is.
Omg! I bought the pattern. But holy hell they made cutting the pieces as about as confusing and complicated as a pattern writer could make! 😳 should be a warning " not for beginner pattern reader" 🤦♀️🤦♀️ I think I got it figured out, but I feel sorry for new makers!
Something like this would have been really cool for the subscription box. I love your channel but I’m honestly considering cancelling the box because the other videos on your channel are more exciting.
Imagine a subscription box with some of the yummy vinyl or adorable niche hardware finishes/pulls/ etc. it’d be so much work, I’m sure, but also so awesome.
Jess, you are such a talented young lady, your personality is spot on and your teaching skills sre on point. ❤❤❤
Golden hands! And sooo beautiful!
You without a doubt have the best most detailed tutorials . I appreciate The time and effort you take , it allows the rest of us to make superb looking bags. Thanks
I absolutely love watching you sew these beautiful bags together! You are an awesome instructor

A very cute little bag ❤

Fantastic job! It is perfection! Thanks!

Absolutely adorable...I love it! Thank u 👌
Great video! Thank you, Jess!
I love bags too❤
Love this bag! Great tutorial, thank you.
Ooooooh! It is so pretty ❤️
You are so right. It is stinking cute.
Really cute bag....fantastic fabric choices!
Great pattern. Great sewing job.
You could add female snaps to one side to add an additional/removable pouch to one side. Great for added storage like diapers. With a PUL lining!
❤❤ thank you Jess. Truly blessed and humbled with your video tutorial 🥰
Love this !
I love this bag so much fun to make. I went crazy. Made about 20
I've had this pattern for a while now. So glad you are doing a tutorial on this one! 💙 🤗

Love this pattern!! Thanks Jess!🎉
Welp....I now know which pattern I'm going to use for my Figment/ EPCOT fabric when it arrives 😆 🤣

One Word: Stash! Or, shop your friends' stashes!!! You can do it!

A bag in a bag in a bag, that’s the way to do it 🎉😅
Hello Jessica I'm kirstianna and I love bags too.
Sooo good! New subbie here. Just added this bag to my sewing list. Thanks for your clear visuals! HNY!
Hello Jess, I'm Laura and I like bags. :-)
I love this wristlet, but I would make one slight modification to the flap. I would prefer to have the open edge of the ID pocket facing UP when the flap is closed. Same. I thought the same thing.
Brilliant 👏🏼
I agree!
Or even add velcro

Hi what other fabric could I use for the pockets for the cards beside water proof canvas? Would quilt cotton work? thanks Laurie
hello Jess I wondering if I'm using material for the lining do we use interface it
what about using waterproof canvas for the outside of the purse? I think I have the perfect material
I would love a video on had to add zipper pulls to zipper tape. OMG am I struggling.
If using waterproof canvas, to reduce bulk for the cardslots, can you just turn under 1/2" or 1/4" and then topstitch at 1/8" ? Just wondering.
I just love your tutorials. Thank you. I am curious about that top zipper. Why don't you just put a zipper tab on both ends instead of that 90 degree twist on the opening side? For me, the zipper tabs would be a lot easier and I like the look of them, but maybe I'm missing something.
Perhaps because zipper tabs reduce the size of the zipper pocket opening.
@@DandelionHQoh, of course. That makes sense. Thank you.
@@mysticdriftstudio Pleasure! 😃
I would put the opening for clear card ID slot on the other side, so when you open the flap, the card don't go flying away from you lol. I'm prone to loose things and that is a hazard 🤣
Super cute pulls... where did you find them?
Do you think you could use magnetic snaps instead of the snaps?
Quick question. If I use cotton canvas for the exterior and waterproof canvas for interior would you still suggest interfacing the cotton canvas? I just have a domestic machine.
Cotton canvas, I would not interface. If it was regular quilt cotton I would.
I’ve noticed that when you put your zipper pull on you open one end and put it on. But the next picture shows both ends closed. Do you do something off camera to get your zipper that way?

I’d like to add RFID card protection. How would I do that? Thank you 😊 1:44
Watch Estate sales for scissors especially pinking shears. Bought mine for $2.00
Where is a good place to buy rivets and other hardware?
Would this work with embroidery vinyl? Or is that too thick for a domestic machine?
What are the finished dimensions of the plus? Their website says 4 7/8 x 6 3/8 which isn’t possible based on the zipper lengths. Am I crazy?
What size zippers? 4.5, 5.0? Or does it matter?
Adorable!! Love the tutorial. Was the 20 mm snap long enough to go through the layers? Or did it require a 24mm?
hello jess I did one but I tried to add you but it is not letting me
Is this a good pattern for cork?
I must have missed something…. Why did you move the zipper in 5/8” at one end and cut the zipper off 5/8” at the other end?? Is there a purpose for that??
Cardslots... AKA She Thicck 🤣
THIS LOOKS LIKE A HIGH END BOUTIQUE ITEM! SO BEAUTIFUL! 💙 🤗
Snazzy wristlet tutorial please and the Book Bestie
I have a job for you I need a bag made how good are you at replicating a backpack from pictures and make it look exactly the same
What color thread is that?
where do you get your sew in bag tags
If you check the description box there are links to them
Where can I buy your stuff?
Where did you get the water resistant fabric
Yes I have the same question.
She tells you where she gets everything she uses under the video in her comments.
So do you have to buy both patterns?
No - she tells you that right at the start 👍🏼
You need pockets but I get confused I end up opening every pocket to find what I am looking for because I forget what pocket I put things in.
You could reduce bulk in the card slots by folding over one edge and top stitching it as long as it’s a non fraying material so it’s only one layer than a folded piece. If you fold it right you shouldn’t have any overlap with the card slot below.

The pattern site repeatedly rejected the United States I selected 5 times. I has registered and logged in???
Is a coupon code being offered for this pattern? 😊
Omg! I bought the pattern. But holy hell they made cutting the pieces as about as confusing and complicated as a pattern writer could make! 😳 should be a warning " not for beginner pattern reader" 🤦♀️🤦♀️ I think I got it figured out, but I feel sorry for new makers!

Nice but $!
It’s almost $20 in Australia! 😢
