Finished my bag today, first one was done with waxed canvas and cotton with foam stabiliser. This time I did all waxed canvas and 600 denier waterproof canvas with decovil stabiliser, wow what a battle to turn it out. I think if I used waxed and waterproof again I wouldn't use stabiliser, looks a nice structured bag though. Oh well you live and learn.
Pattern writing is SSOOOOO hard lol I'm so glad I got up with K&A custom fabrics and they put my patterns into fabric and all I have to do is do a video showing people how to make it lol. One of these days I need to learn how to do digital patterns that look fancy like other pattern makers, but life is toooo busy for that right now lol
Thank you so much for this video Jess. Both of your Ojymas are beautiful 😍 I’d love to see your take on the Momexa. An oldie but still one of my faves 😁
Out of all the bags I’ve made over the years this design is by far my favorite for everyday use. I’m going to make another one and put a zippered pocket on the back instead of the slip pocket. Thanks again for a wonderful tutorial!
Thank you!!! I have been waiting patiently for you to do this bag. For some odd reason, I had a feeling you were going to do a tutorial. Love ❤️ love ❤️ your tutorials. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
I just finished making one of these! My first legit cross body bag. And you guided me every step of the way! Thank you for doing such a fantastic tutorial!
Love this! I’m wondering if I’m using cork instead of waxed canvas, should I adhere the decovil to the cork instead of the waterproof canvas? Also, could you please share the color of waxed canvas? I think it’s dark oak but I can’t really tell.
A great video Jess, I got the pattern for this bag, I am a first-time bag maker! help. I have had tension problems with stitches as I am using a very basic brother LS14 sewing machine. I have microtex needles and jeans needles and used Tex 40 thread, but when I threaded my machine I used the same thread in the bobbin as the top thread. I changed it now to gutterman thread in bobbin and tex in the top seems to be ok, do you change your needles for each fabric? on the cotton a regular needle and waxed canvas microtex? thanks again for helpful and informative and easy to follow. Love your videos and thrilled you'll be doing this bag! Just purchased the pattern. This would be the perfect bag to make on your Juki 1541. Do you not like your industrial?
Another wonderful tutorial, you really make all steps sound so easy, we can do it!

Thanks for the reference. I looked at their website, do they have options to upload or did you need to contact them for custom prints?
@@Cecibug1 you'd have to contact them, Kim and Alex are really cool to work with.
Thanks, Jess!!!!
You are the best teacher! Love how you do your videos in a way to give anyone the confidence needed. Both bags are absolutely adorable!
She is the best teacher, but from what I have seen she is the neatest in her sewing.
You can stable your corners at 1/8 in take them out after you have sewn. Difficulty if you are using vinyl
Do you mean staple?
Looove the shirt you are wearing in this tutorial!
Beautiful work Thanks you
Yippeeee! Jess and Jo together again. You guys are like peanut butter and jelly. Thanks to all involved for a great bag and tutorial!
Awwww that's such a kind compliment! Jo really is amazing.
Thank you so much for this video Jess. Both of your Ojymas are beautiful 😍
I’d love to see your take on the Momexa. An oldie but still one of my faves 😁
I've had the Momexa laying out for awhile! I just had to get some of the O-rings (of course, that was months ago... i have no excuse now).
Out of all the bags I’ve made over the years this design is by far my favorite for everyday use. I’m going to make another one and put a zippered pocket on the back instead of the slip pocket. Thanks again for a wonderful tutorial!
I can totally understand that! It's such a useful size and shape. I love the idea of making the slip pocket a zip one.
This is definitely on my list to make.. The only thing that’s better than pockets is more pockets 💜 .. as always Jess a great tutorial
I love to watch your videos. You do a great job of explaining everything. I haven't made any bags yet but I am interested in trying.
Once again the pattern I purchased weeks ago and sitting in hopes of a tutorial is up on a Monday!!!! Thanks Jes. You’re the best
Woot woot! Let me know how it goes!
Gorgeous Bag Design and materials. Love your fabric patterns/colours combinations, Jess. Thank you for all you do. :)
Such a cute top!
I'm on my second Ojyma right now. I'm pretty sure it's my favourite pattern ❤
I just finished my 3rd! I love making this bag , I ordered the acrylic templates because I knew I'd be making more of them. 😅

Thank you!!! I have been waiting patiently for you to do this bag. For some odd reason, I had a feeling you were going to do a tutorial. Love ❤️ love ❤️ your tutorials. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
We're on the same brain wavelength Liz! What do you think the next pattern will be?
I’ve ordered a box set thing from Country Cow with a kit to make this bag. So excited!
Awesome bag 🥰 I will be making it. Thank u so much Jess!
Very cute!
This is fun, I bought this pattern about a month ago, and is just set up to make it 👏😅
Great tutorial,,,love this bag and your choice of fabrics!
Thank you so much!
Just bought the pattern and hardware kit from Country Cow Designs just need to decide on fabrics.
Loved the inside zipper pocket. Was sewing the bag together easier with your zipper foot?
Love this bag it’s so pretty, would like to be able to make this one day
You'll be making these before you know it.
I just finished making one of these! My first legit cross body bag. And you guided me every step of the way! Thank you for doing such a fantastic tutorial!
So I’ve had the box to make this for a month or so and finally finished it today! Thanks Jo and Adam for the pattern and Jess for the tutorial!

I love your tutorial. You have a hole punch press!!. Where did you find it? I have looked everywhere. Thank you😊
That's is super cute! My kind of bag. I just love a challenge. I be making that soon. Thank you❤️
Love this!!
Jess do you clean your machine a certain way to use the waxed canvas? I love how this bag looks.

Nice! Can this be made with other types of fabric?
❤️
Great video! Should you only fuse the Decovil light to the waterproof canvas and NOT the wax canvas?
Going to try this pattern using waxed canvas. First time for the waxed canvas. Could I use 1" webbing instead of 1 1/2"? That's what I have.
😊
Jess, what denier is your WPC? I am struggling to get the right weight
jesse can you tellme where to buy baG trinkets do you have any please
provedure
Is the binding all raw edge cut, won't that fray?
Nice having the tutorial but you are going way too fast.
Have you tried using the timestamps? They are a really useful feature. You can rewatch any section over as you sew.
You can slow your videos down! Upper right corner settings wheel, then choose playback speed.
Thanks!
not close up, too much talk than showing the pricedire
