This is the construction of a temporary deck over our pool for when we host large parties and need extra room. All credit to the construction and design goes to my dad and his builder mate
We have actually been considering doing the same thing! How long has yours been installed? Im worried about the moisture under the pool rotting the wood. We wanted something that was ridged for the safety of our kids. A pool cover doesnt seem to provide protection from that
Covering the pool with plywood and ordinary wood seems to be a bit out of place. This is because plywood and untreated ordinary wood is vulnerable to water.
I built a similar deck (semi-permanent) deck over a pool I don't use. It is MUCH cheaper than buying an expensive pool cover. Thanks for sharing.

Good for you man, how’d it go?
Wow man, that’s a great looking deck!
great idea
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing.
Auntie Lobster no worries lady mate
This is awesome, I’m going to build one for my backyard wedding.
Did you leave the aluminum footing in the pool after installation?
Have you built one yet? How did it go? I too am looking into doing the same thing for a backyard wedding later this summer.
wow
How much is the production cost?
The size is 3900 * 2600
What did you use to support the structure inside the pool?
Aluminium posts, this would only work for very short term use because of the chemicals in the pool react with the metal
who does this I need one done for a party
What size joist did you guys use?
Did you use rubber chocks as shoes for the posts?
Juan Herrera yeah, I believe he did
Why over the pool?
You should've played some Oingo Boingo

This structure was only used for 2 nights, hence the cheap timber for temporary use
^^^^this guy knows his stuff!
Should've played savage garden
why would you deck over half the pool?
brianallen0826 t rŕ2
Because he’s a damn legend!
Oi, it’s kinda bad music, you should’ve put affirmation by Savage garden on
This has to be one of the dumbest things i have seen done to a pool
David d if you’re were in a pool you’d be the dumbest thing that’s ever been done to a pool!
Not so dumb you just have watch your head when ya come up for air
