I’ve been considering a quad cortex, as I have a helix stomp now and think the user interface is too complicated. Thanks for your input.

Tech 21 bass fly rig is my final thing for few years and is great

I had been curious about the QC for a while, but for the price tag it still has and the feedback I continue to hear from fellow bassists, it's not enough to interest me in investing the time and $$$$ to try. I have my Stomp-based board really dialed in and am super happy with it (and an MC6 👍), as is the sound engineer for my band.

I have considered getting a stomp and using it with the pro. But the source audio pedals are awesome

@@ivanmike1968 The C4 is one of my all-time favorite pedals and have it on the board with my Stomp, and finally about to dive in and take a look at the Ultrawave. (Personal plug, I've got C4 patches on the Neuro, user name: fivestringgecko. It's been a while, and really want to get back to programming some patches for that pedal!)

Thanks for this. I had a long thought about buying the Quad Cortex. In the end I decided for the Eventide H90 plus Ampeg SGT DI plus Fuzz & Distortion from Jam Pedals... The Eventide H90 is not easy to understand... and it has less effects... but with such a great quality. Combining it with the Ampeg you get the IR and amp simulation and some real knobs that are quick accessible. The distortions within the Eventide are nice... but having the real thing in the variable insert of the Eventide is awesome. Regarding costs it is comparable or even more compared to the Quad Cortex... but I feel good with this. I can play without an amp or with amp or both (DI with IR and ampsound without IR) ... that all together makes it perfect.
Still thinking about the convenience of one unit... but... your video helped me that the combination of digital plus analog and some more knobs are the way to go.
I would like an Empress Compressor in the 2nd Insert ;-)... but I do not have the space on my paddle-board...

I know a lot of musicians are "other-people's tone-chasers" (I want to sound like "X") There are a few of us who just want our own-tone... sure we chase a sound we want but it has to be our own sound. I'm one of those guys that checks out gear, and finds an amp that sounds good and then add my own effects pedals to it. Its my OWN sound. I used to have those $$$ multi-fx racks but its a rat-race of aging equipment being replaced by other $$$ multi-fx racks. I found that if the equipment has less things that age/break the better, simpler = the better option.

I have not a single clue about any of this, but I was wondering about the UA-cam algorithm. I have the feeling it doesn't like when people make very different videos on their channels, which is why it seems most people with multiple interests have separate channels for each of those so that they channels do not get buried because UA-cam cannot grasp that a single channel could have different topics.

Last time I was on your channel you didn't have so many basses. I play with the guitar myself. (It's more of playing with it not playing it). Got Nux MG-30 recently just to have nice and intuitive GUI when I want to learn a song or check some setups. Digital distortion is unpleasant. I just know when I hear it. Unless it's my Boss Katana's build in DS-1. Sounds decent. PS. Quad Cortex is a financial overkill. Wouldn't Tonex be a better option to fool around and check do you like such solution?
