I prefer the BGL6 than the BGV9 and the BGL7( BGV9 lace up version). It’s have way softer padding so when you sparring, it gonna protect your hand and your sparring partner better.
Softer padding is great for hard bags, it prevents back pain, forearm pain and joint pain in general.. It’s like a suspension and there is no need to use hard cushions like Fairtex on hard bags.. Equally kicking hard backs will eventually lead to back pain as there is no suspension for joints.. Use pads on the shins to help with this, may seem counterintuitive but its conditioning is brilliant. It’s old style and a way to condition shins but it’s ridiculous for long term health.. Trained over 40 years so I know my shit..
The BGV-9 is a light brick and terrible for sparring. I know because i own this glove in my collection. I would feel bad sparring anyone in that glove. It isn't just the thin padding but also the extreme density of that padding
I have narrow wrists too and am a big fan of the Wrist Lock 2 strap system that you get with the Rival RS11V sparring gloves. Actually I bought them because I also have the RB11 bag gloves from Rival that have the same wrist strap system. But to each their own, as the reviewer in this video said he doesn't like the straps on the RS11V.
I have the RDX glove from Amazon it’s £36 has over 1000 reviews and I can smash the heavy bag and not feel a thing. It’s great for sparing too.
Lace up gloves are a lot better for sparring. They velcro can scratch, cut and burn your sparring partners
I prefer twins special 16 oz for sparring. Nice pillowy gloves and great quality
Love my Fairtex BGV9 better than my Cleto Reyes. Also love my Coach’s Rival gloves (different model to those). But my hands are little
if they can add another 1/8 inch of padding in the knuckle area, they'd be perfect .
Would the BGV9 in 10oz be good for bag work? I'm planning to get these gloves
Great vid , thanks!. Would you do a quick review of Phenom sparring gloves? They are becoming popular and I would like to hear your opinion. Thanks!

Softer padding does the opposite.
@@FSPRO not really, kinda like how Winning is better at sparring than Cleto Reyes.

You need to do around 20 sessions on the heavy bag to brake them in before sparring with them

A lot of people
I'm 140lbs in weight. Are the Fairtex 12oz the right choice for sparring?
we would only recommend for light or play sparring. 14 & 16oz are perfect for heavier sparring at any weight.
@@FSPRO Thanks
hey people would like to buy the boxing gloves, but I'm not sure because I have rather narrow wrists. They are also suitable for narrower wrists?
Fairtex glory edition offer good wrist support so do the bgv9
