Absolutely BEAUTIFUL reaction. I can literally feel your emotions through my screen. FANTASTIC. I cry every single time Rocky wins Apollo. This is exactly how a sequel should be - Stallone absolutely nailed it.
Hello Tayanna, thank you so much for your kind words, we appreciate it! Yes, this was the perfect sequel, indeed. Hope to see you for R3 next Saturday! Cheers! (:
@@THEPATRIOT1000 It goes downhill from there. Sly even admitted that he was reluctant to make Rocky 4 and hated that he did R5, but he had already signed an agreement with the "guys wearing ties" so he did it.
Nothing gives me goosebumps more than when she pulls him closer and says "win!". I could conquer the world. This will sound cringe but I even watched this scene when I had a big job interview, i needed it.
Yeah, no, doesn't sound cringe whatsoever. This whole Rocky series is full of inspirational quotes, that have gotten many a person over a hump and out of a slump. That's why they are so beloved. I haven't watched all of Rocky 5 yet. Wasn't loving what I saw of it, but there's a bit of a back story to how Prime messed up the cue. They have all the series on Prime Cda right now and it was auto playing them, but leapt me from rewatching Rocky II, to suddenly Rocky 5 and I didn't know what hit me. It does have that super inspirational speech he gives his wayward and kind of ingrate son. Something roughly about how much life will beat you up, and it's all about how much you can take a beating and keep on going. Only Rocky of course says it so much better. To the point that, even though many find Rocky 5 one of the weakest links in the series, that scene is shown everywhere. All that to say, whatever gets you through buddy. And you're in huge and superb company that you can take that good advice and use it to keep on taking that beating and keep on going anyway.
My father used to box, and this movie was the only time I saw him cry. Others may disagree, but I think Rocky 2 was even better than the original, which I loved too. Great reaction guys once again.
@@JakeLegear Yeah, it can be a close call. They are kind of a package deal. Reminds me a bit of a very different kind of movie, but also hugely iconic and popular. Quentin Taranto's, Kill Bill. W/ that one though, many say the sequel was even better than the first. Which is of course no mean feat, and pretty rare. Quentin always says though, it was never really a sequel for him. He just knew the story was far too long to put into one movie, so he packaged it as a sequel. I don't think that was the case w/ Rocky, but maybe I'm wrong on that?
That scene when she wakes up brings tears to my eyes because when I lost my mom to cancer I saw her on the bed lifeless so it hits very hard. I’ve only seen two reactions from y’all and already you guys are one of my favorites. Keep it up 💪🏽
Thanks for your kind words. Yeah, I can imagine that the hospital scene must bring back quite a few of your memories. The "win" line was fantastic too! (:
Incredible movie. Still chokes me up every time I see it. It is definitely up there with the greatest sequel films ever, with Empire Strikes Back, Return of the King, Terminator 2, Godfather 2, Avengers Endgame. Rocky III is great too!
In the running scene, it's great to note a point that kids in 70s were able to run miles and stairs and now we have kids who get gassed out in 10 steps
Quite the foreshadowing of a harbinger of what was to come w/ the internet and socialism media. Stallone was often enough ahead of his time. Such a sneak attack. I saw both of these films in the theater as new releases, and, as you can probably imagine, the entire audience was reacting just as you two were at the end of both. It was a very special time in the history of cinema, and for the movie going public. I couldn't possibly choose one over the other. Amazing reaction B.M.R.!

The fact that you understand film makes your reaction one of the best I've seen. You observe everything in the movie and limit your comments and conversation out of respect for the film and it's viewers. I look forward to watching all of your reactions. BRAVO to BOSS MOVIE REACTIONS!!
This one was my mom's favorite movies. She had cancer and it was too late for her. Now I tell my Grandchildren how special she was while we watch the Rocky series.
@@BossMovieReactions Looking forward to it. I've been re-visting the Rocky and Rambo's. Must get around to other key ones I missed, because he's just freaking brilliant at scripts and the whole shebang. Not sure if you know of Copland yet? It somehow fell under the radar, and got no where the praise and awards it deserved. All star cast of absolute powerhouse actors: De Niro, Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta and several others. Nothing showed Stallone's exceptional acting chops quite like that movie. It's not that the Rocky and Rambo's didn't. But they largely had him w/ either unknowns, or out to pasture actors, that those roles helped bring back. W/ Copland, he went toe to toe w/ the absolute best, like De Niro, Keitel and Liotta and not only held his own, but many say he even outshone them. Rewatched it recently. Gonna do it again soon. The ending esp. was burned into my brain, the part where he's deafened but still staggering around, and they so affectingly kept shutting out all volume and soundtrack, just slamming it home what he was going through. but it had been long enough that most of the rest had not, esp. the all star cast, I'd totally forgotten about. I'm sure you and your wife will be as blown away when you can find the time.
@@BossMovieReactions Going forward, when you get to Rocky Balboa, I expect it to touch you almost as much as it did me based on how you are affected so far. Heard that people who saw this in theaters were literally screaming at the screen when rocky and Apollo were trying to get up and when rocky won people lost it like it was a real fight, would have loved to have had that experience
Same during Rocky 4..people were literally cheering and yelling Similarly , people gave a standing applause at the end of Rambo 2 when the song "Peace in our lives" plays Movies used to touch our souls back in the day!
Yes. I was 11 yrs old. The crowd in the theater erupted with applause when he got up and when the last scene embrace with Mickey went to credits the ENTIRE theater gave a standing ovation like you'd see at a live play. It was incredible!
I cry everytime!!! They get better and better 😊 Fun fact...At every home Eagles game, they show Adrian saying WIN and the montage along with Eagle's players to hype us up. I get so emotional then, too. Lol Can't wait to watch your reaction to Rocky 3!! Y'all gonna LOVE it!! 🥊🥊💚
You two are just adorable. I love your reactions and both your personalities. Always happy to see one of your new reactions being published. Bless you both
Ahh you two are fast becoming my favourite reactors on UA-cam. Love how you both get so emersed in the movie. Can’t wait for you to watch Rocky III and IV.
I was so looking forward to this after watching your ROCKY reaction, and just like ROCKY II, you guys delivered another great one ! Pumped for ROCKY III next .. Let’s Goooooo !
After creating high expectations in Rocky 1, Rocky II exceeds expectations. That's why this is the perfect movie watch along with you guys. It's always fun watching with you but you still manage to exceed expectations. And to answer the question of which one I like better... The one I like best is the one I'm watching at that moment. Personally, I can't separate the two movies. I care about the characters just the same and I'm just along for the ride, hanging on moment to moment. These are the perfect one-two punch.
Hello again from the Austrian Alps. I think part 2 is equally as good as part 1 ... similar to the Godfather, both movies actually feel to me like being one big film. So much emotion.
Great job guys, look forward to seeing more of your Rocky reactions. 1 and 2 were both so good it's hard to say which one was better. Looking forward to your Rocky 3 reaction.
Every weekend from the time I was 9 years old till about 13 I would walk to the tiny vcr tape rental place in our small town and rent Rocky II. Drove my sisters crazy! Still one of my favorites and I'm pushing 50.
I could never put any of the sequels above Rocky 1. For 1 was to life changing for me. Yes, 2 and 3 helped to inspire me in life, but it’s all built on the foundation of Rocky 1. This is all described in my autobiography, Victory over Anger. Great job once again, and we will see you for 3. ❤
These movies starting by showing the end of the previous movie is brilliant. Back then a lot of people didn’t have access to home copies of the movie and there were years between releases. Many people seeing Rocky II when it was released hadn't seen the first since it was released.
LOVED this reaction. The emotion of it really came through as you watched. Saw this in the theater and always felt that Rocky had to win this fight this way because his whole character arc is about his getting knocked down by life and getting up, over and over again (his heart, as you said), IMO this is the BEST of the Rocky movies (even though the first movie was great) because it's about his character and the love story. The boxing is just a vehicle for telling that story.
We're happy to hear that you liked our reaction. Yes, this was a powerful movie. I think R2's payoff is so amazing because of R1. I'm currently editing R3, so stay tuned! (:
Mickey really shines through in this one, wow i did not remember how powerful his scenes were. Of course we all thinking of the chapel scene and I would agree, but also the analyzing scene when he's suggesting that Rocky fights with his right hand and the film is projected right on him... pretty slick. Hes very physical too in the way he conveys emotions.
I love your true reactions to the movies, Mike is a man after my own heart I get very emotional watching movies. Jessica congratulations on your award keep the great movie reviews coming. I can't wait for you to do Rocky 3 & 4 Martin from Wigan UK
Rocky 2 is so great because of how the first one ended. 1and2 stand alone, the rest of them only really work because we are already invested in Rocky from the first two movies. You love the rest of the Rocky series because you love Rocky, but the first two are great movies, period.
Skip 4?! Are you insane? LOL! Sure it's cheesy but it's damn entertaining and gives us the greatest training montage of all time and an amazing fight at the end. It's a lot of people's favorite of the series. Also, Rocky 4 ended the Cold War in real life. 😉 Even though Rocky 5 is the weakest of the franchise it's still worth watching and has some great moments.
A couple of fun facts: In the scene where Rocky is struggling to spar with the smaller faster fighter, the smaller fighter is actually boxing legend "Hands of Stone" Roberto Duran. Who was a multi time world champion, and considered one of the best fighters of all time. If Rocky had run from his house, past all those landmarks, and ended his run at the art museum. The run would have been around 30 miles.
Heres the thing about the Rocky movies and Stallone in particular that not many other movies can replicate, Goosebump moments. They can make manliest of men break down every time. In terms of which is better 1 or 2, there is no way i can compare them they're like my children and could never pick one over the other. After you guys finish the Rocky series you have to watch one of my favorite Stallone movies Over The Top, you will get a the same feels watching that as you do Rocky its what Stallone's best at making you feel something.
Yeah, goosebump moments! indeed! I think I remember seeing a trailer for "Over the Top." It was about arm wrestling or something. I put it on our list! Thx! (:
Thank you, Rolando!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for watching, thanks for subscribing, thanks for the kiss, and thanks for the 24 hearts! Greetings back to Argentina! (:
Stallone is totally underrated. It's so nice to watch this and not be the only tearing up. Even though Rocky IV has a special place in my heart as the first Rocky I watched (I was too young for the others), I really do think that part II is slightly better than the original. There's so much more on the line (Rocky's eye, his livelihood, Adrian's condition, the newborn) that it's impossible to ignore.
Hello Mike & Jessica!😊 Out of the first two films, this is my favorite.🏆 The song "Eye of the Tiger" is in the next film, but Rocky proposes to Adrian at the zoo by the tiger cage, and wears a jacket with a tiger on the back. Rocky's car was popular at this time do to the success of the "Smokey and the Bandit" films wear The Bandit drives the same car. Great reactions to this well made sequel, Guys!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

One thing I did notice tho was when Rocky was supposed to use his right hand to learn to fight again to trick Apollo but in the scene he has his right arm tied down and still using his left to bunch the bag I think that was an error
@@Jon-o1q7z Good observation, but I don't think that was an error. If you are right-handed, you jab with your left hand, and if you are left-handed, you jab with your right hand. So, since Rocky is left-handed (meaning he naturally jabs with his right), I think it makes sense for him to tie down his "punching power arm" and learn to jab more strongly with his left (and that's what they did in the movie). LOL. A bit confusing, I know, but I think that's how it works. (:
Oh wow ok thank you for that insight man I honestly didn’t realize that! I don’t know too much about fighting to tell you the truth 😅 it does seem a bit confusing at first yes
It's indisputable that "Rocky II" is a fantastic film, which deserves all the praise it receives. But "Rocky" is one of the true masterpieces of the 1970s, which is astonishing when you consider that the 1970s are the uncontested pinnacle of American filmmaking.

The fact that you understand film makes your reaction one of the best I've seen. You observe everything in the movie and limit your comments and conversation out of respect for the film and it's viewers. I look forward to watching all of your reactions. BRAVO to BOSS MOVIE REACTIONS!!
I agree...I watch many reactors and yall make intelligent comments and laugh and cry at the right moments....kudos keep up the good work
THANK YOU!! (:
Oh, wow, thank you so much for your encouraging words. It means a lot to us! Smells like a possible shoutout! (:
@@BossMovieReactions LOL,,,Thank You,,,,,,,,,,,,,both "Braveheart" and "Dances With Wolves" are beautiful pictures.
@@stangsswang8355 Yes, I just checked, and both movies are on our list! Thx! (:
Definitely in my top ten and the most inspirational movie of all time. It's the best rocky of them all to me, and they were all good.
Yeah, I think R2 was even better BECAUSE of R1. Editing R3 now. (:
This one was my mom's favorite movies. She had cancer and it was too late for her. Now I tell my Grandchildren how special she was while we watch the Rocky series.
Aw, that is very heartwarming! (:
Probably the best love story with amazing fighting ever made! I love how emotional Mr. Boss movie was, I felt every bit of it too!
Hi Carolyn, yeah, it's an amazing love story with a great boxing backdrop. Thanks for watching and feeling with us! (:
Now watch Rocky 3 and you'll fall in love with Apollo!
YES, I just uploaded it a few hours ago. We'll release it on Saturday! (:
Hurry n watch rocky 3, pls hurry I don't wanna wait!)
Haha, yeah, we already watched it, I'm currently editing R3. So, stay tuned! (:
@@mycattitude Thanks for that, Cattitude, we appreciate it. Someone else mentioned Copland, so it's already on our list! Thx! (:
As many times as I've seen this, it always makes me tear up. You two are officially in the Rocky family now. Yo! You did it!
Haha, yo, we did it!! Greetings to your partner. R3 is in the making! (:
@@BossMovieReactions Going forward, when you get to Rocky Balboa, I expect it to touch you almost as much as it did me based on how you are affected so far. My wife said, "Real men aren't afraid to show emotion. I hope his wife appreciates that like I do you." Never a better compliment about a reaction channel ever from her. You guys are now #1 on our reaction channels list.
@@windsorkid7069 Haha, that's AWESOME!!! Thank you. We're honored to be your #1, and we'll do our best to keep it. Yes, I think my wife does appreciate it, especially since we're in the entertainment field, so without having access to your emotions, no good stuff can be produced. Anyway, thank you and your wife, and have a great week! (:
One of the best series ever. No doubt in my mind. Thank you both for sharing your journey through it and allowing us to take it with you.
Yes, I haven't seen all of them yet, but I can see the "Best Series" already. Editing R3 now. Cheers! (:
Burgess Merideth, Mickey, was The Penguin in The Batman TV show.
Oh, I didn't know. Thx, Patriot! (:
What a great reaction! I love watching movies with you two! Made my day. Standing by for Rocky 3!!
Awesome! Thanks for that! Yep, R3 is coming! (:
Heard that people who saw this in theaters were literally screaming at the screen when rocky and Apollo were trying to get up and when rocky won people lost it like it was a real fight, would have loved to have had that experience
Yes, several people have recounted that experience! Sounds awesome!! (:
Same during Rocky 4..people were literally cheering and yelling
Similarly , people gave a standing applause at the end of Rambo 2 when the song "Peace in our lives" plays
Movies used to touch our souls back in the day!
Yes. I was 11 yrs old. The crowd in the theater erupted with applause when he got up and when the last scene embrace with Mickey went to credits the ENTIRE theater gave a standing ovation like you'd see at a live play. It was incredible!
@@HC-iu1vs No modern movie can do that
I wish I saw this movie in the theater when it came out! Man, the tension when Rocky and Apollo are both down...
I saw it in the theater when I was 10. People were standing and cheering and crying and the ROCKY chant was happening near the end of the fight.
Yes, almost unimaginable! (:
I cry everytime!!! They get better and better 😊
Fun fact...At every home Eagles game, they show Adrian saying WIN and the montage along with Eagle's players to hype us up. I get so emotional then, too. Lol Can't wait to watch your reaction to Rocky 3!! Y'all gonna LOVE it!! 🥊🥊💚
Oh, really, that's so cool that they do that for the Eagles game. Yeah, I'm currently editing R3. Stay tuned! (:
You two are just adorable. I love your reactions and both your personalities. Always happy to see one of your new reactions being published. Bless you both
Aw, thank you so much!! That is very kind of you to say! "See" you soon! (:
Another great reaction guys. Glad you enjoyed this one. Rocky 1 and 2 are both fabulous. Great sequel.
Thank you, Robert. I'm currently editing R3, so stay tuned! (:
Last three words spoken in Rocky I and Rocky Ii are " I Love You !" ❤
Yes, I noticed during editing! (:
Two is the best for me. I can't count how many times I have watched it, and 1. I still cry at all the same spots.
Yeah, what I've seen so far really blew me away. Great stuff! (:
Nothing but love to the two of you! :) I just love your videos and chemistry!
Aw, thank you so much!! Stuff like that makes our day! ((:
Ahh you two are fast becoming my favourite reactors on UA-cam. Love how you both get so emersed in the movie. Can’t wait for you to watch Rocky III and IV.
Ahh, THANK YOU!! Yes, I'm currently editing R3. Stay tuned!
I was so looking forward to this after watching your ROCKY reaction, and just like ROCKY II, you guys delivered another great one ! Pumped for ROCKY III next .. Let’s Goooooo !
Yeah, let's gooooo. I'm currently editing R3. (:
After creating high expectations in Rocky 1, Rocky II exceeds expectations. That's why this is the perfect movie watch along with you guys. It's always fun watching with you but you still manage to exceed expectations.
And to answer the question of which one I like better... The one I like best is the one I'm watching at that moment. Personally, I can't separate the two movies. I care about the characters just the same and I'm just along for the ride, hanging on moment to moment. These are the perfect one-two punch.
Thanks for that, Philip, I hope we "see" you for R3!! (:
Hello again from the Austrian Alps. I think part 2 is equally as good as part 1 ... similar to the Godfather, both movies actually feel to me like being one big film. So much emotion.
Hello Gerald from the Austrian Alps. Yes, agreed, 1&2 are amazing. R3 is coming! (:
My favorite scene is when Adrian says "there's one thing I want you to do for me, win win" ❤️❤️👍👍✌️✌️🇨🇦
Yep, 100%. AWESOME!! (:
this was the best reaction I have ever seen! Thanks, you both for a great time!
Aw, thank you so much, Kenny, we appreciate it! I'm currently editing R3, so stay tuned! (:
Sylvester Stallone has always said that the "Rocky" movies are Love Stories, not about fighting. He is right!
Absolutely! A love story with some added subjects like self-worth, etc. Stay tuned, R3 is coming in two days! (:
Great job guys, look forward to seeing more of your Rocky reactions. 1 and 2 were both so good it's hard to say which one was better. Looking forward to your Rocky 3 reaction.
Hi Paul, yeah, maybe R2 was even better because of R1. R3 is coming! (:
Every weekend from the time I was 9 years old till about 13 I would walk to the tiny vcr tape rental place in our small town and rent Rocky II. Drove my sisters crazy! Still one of my favorites and I'm pushing 50.
That's awesome! Does your sister at least understand why? (:
I could never put any of the sequels above Rocky 1. For 1 was to life changing for me. Yes, 2 and 3 helped to inspire me in life, but it’s all built on the foundation of Rocky 1. This is all described in my autobiography, Victory over Anger. Great job once again, and we will see you for 3. ❤
Victory over Anger sounds great! Yes, R1 is the foundation, and that's why R2 was so good! Yep, see ya for R3. (:
Glad you have loved these two movies. In my opinion, the next 2 are even better!!
Oh, boy, I can't wait. I'm currently editing R3, and we loved it as well! (:
These movies starting by showing the end of the previous movie is brilliant.
Back then a lot of people didn’t have access to home copies of the movie and there were years between releases. Many people seeing Rocky II when it was released hadn't seen the first since it was released.
Yes, that was brilliant indeed. I talk about it in my "Afterthoughts" video. R3 is coming! (:
Great job, again, folks. Looking forward to Rocky 3. Thank you, both.
Thanks, Matt.
Yes, Mickey shines! I had the same thought about the projector image on his face, etc. Good stuff! (:
Yeah you guys put up another movie reaction I hope you do all of the Rockies hope you're both are having a wonderful weekend 👍👍🥰
Yes, we'll do ALL of the Rocky movies. I'm currently editing R3. Have a great weekend as well, and stay tuned! (:

Thank you, Martin, we appreciate your kind words. Greetings to the UK. R3 is coming! (:
Rocky 2 is so great because of how the first one ended. 1and2 stand alone, the rest of them only really work because we are already invested in Rocky from the first two movies. You love the rest of the Rocky series because you love Rocky, but the first two are great movies, period.
Awesome! Yes, I'm currently editing R3, which we also loved! (:
I would honestly skip 4 and 5 - very cheesy! Go straight Rocky Balboa the recent reboot, which is right up with 1 And 2.
Skip 4?! Are you insane? LOL! Sure it's cheesy but it's damn entertaining and gives us the greatest training montage of all time and an amazing fight at the end. It's a lot of people's favorite of the series. Also, Rocky 4 ended the Cold War in real life. 😉
Even though Rocky 5 is the weakest of the franchise it's still worth watching and has some great moments.
Worst Rocky take I’ve ever seen.
Rocky III is amazing (much better than II)
Rocky IV is cheesy and still great.
@@jjsdad4952 haha thats crazy talk😁
A couple of fun facts: In the scene where Rocky is struggling to spar with the smaller faster fighter, the smaller fighter is actually boxing legend "Hands of Stone" Roberto Duran. Who was a multi time world champion, and considered one of the best fighters of all time.
If Rocky had run from his house, past all those landmarks, and ended his run at the art museum. The run would have been around 30 miles.
@8:25 thats Stallone brother singing.
Thanks for the trivia. Always enjoy it! Thx! (:
Best sequel you've ever seen? A bold claim but you may be right! Love you guys!
Haha, yeah, it might be a bold claim especially because there are so many movies we still have to watch. Love back at you! (:

Thx! (:

Stallone doesn’t get enough credit for these movies. They are brilliant pieces of cinema.
He's definitely getting all the credit from me! I recognize its brilliance! (:
Yaaaassss! Coffee, check. Saturday morning movie, check. Great and charming reactors, check!
Funny comment, check!
Yeah, as you know, we were blown away by 1&2. R3 is coming! (:
I see reactors doing any of the Rocky movies, I click. You are doing them justice though. Thanks.
I appreciate that! We're trying hard to do any movie we're reacting to justice! Thx! (:
Hello Mike & Jessica!😊 Out of the first two films, this is my favorite.🏆 The song "Eye of the Tiger" is in the next film, but Rocky proposes to Adrian at the zoo by the tiger cage, and wears a jacket with a tiger on the back. Rocky's car was popular at this time do to the success of the "Smokey and the Bandit" films wear The Bandit drives the same car. Great reactions to this well made sequel, Guys!!!!🎬👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Love the videos Mike hope you and Jessica are doing well. Rocky is such a pure and very simplistic likable character
Hi Jonathan, yes, Rocky the character is brilliant! R3 is coming! (:
@@Jon-o1q7z Yeah, in other words, you use the jab to prepare to land one with your STRONG hand. (:
Awesome reaction guys, very cooL.
Thank you so much 😁!! R3 is coming! (:
It's indisputable that "Rocky II" is a fantastic film, which deserves all the praise it receives. But "Rocky" is one of the true masterpieces of the 1970s, which is astonishing when you consider that the 1970s are the uncontested pinnacle of American filmmaking.
Yeah, Rocky is indeed a masterpiece, and I think R2 is equally fantastic BECAUSE of R1. R3 is coming! (:
Great reaction! Thank you....
