Amazing game - beautiful design and exciting game mechanics! The author of the channel perfectly revealed all the nuances of this game in this video. Thank you so much for the video!
Great video Tom! Your playthrough's are some of the best around, so I'm stoked that you're branching out into How To Play's as well. Can we expect a solo or 2p playthrough of this one?
Thanks, I've not done many in the past and I'm pleased with how they've gone :) I wasn't planning on a playthrough, but it's been requested a few times so I think I should put it in the vote next week!
My copy arrived a few days ago and today I finally got it unpacked, cards sleeved and read through the rulebook. Aiming to play my first game this coming weekend which will actually be a 2 player game, so your play through is exactly right for me. I love the fact you pointed out the differences between the slight variations according to player count. Play through videos can sometimes be a bit hit and miss but this gave me all the information I needed without any unecessary waffle whilst still keeping it enjoyable to watch. Excellent video and brings it down to the information we really need. Really looking forward to my first game as Martin Wallace games tend to be great strategy games and this video has helped me see it's going to have a similar strategy level to Brass. Once again, great video.
What a great video and amazing explanation! I’ve always watched your play through videos. But I hope you would find the time to make more how to play videos. This is among the best How to play videos I’ve seen. T
@@slickerdrips IDK I'll have to check that one out! I see that you occasionally do how to play videos- I would encourage you to do MORE! I really appreciate the straight to the point, no-nonsense approach to teaching the game.
Sorry if this has already been asked, but I didn't notice it in any other comments. When you were describing the port placement, you added it to the spot where the miner was. Is this a legal action since you can only have one permanent placement in each area? Thanks for your time, and for the great video!
It is legal to have *different* developments in an area (and I think it is legal to have more than one adit as long as they connect to different regions)
You definitely could use poker chips or something like that. I imagine the reason they didn’t include some form of money is that the game already has SO MANY components, they probably were trying to keep the cost down. And also it looks like cash totals can get pretty high.
I believe the version shown here is the new reprint that's due out in the next month or two, hopefully it means I can finally have my own copy of this game

I've watched most of your videos, but I can't remember How to play format. I really like this. Such a good job. I miss Marty, though.
Thanks Bob! I don't get asked very often, I think this is the 4th I've ever made? Marty will return very soon :D

Thank you for this. Can’t wait to get it to the table now.
Very clear. This is perfect: speed, production, explanation. Thank you.
Thank you! Glad you like it :)
Good job on explaining the rules. The most tricky part of the rules seems to be the auction action 🧠
Mmm... Crunchy.
Great quality, clearly explained, thanks.

Thanks David, really glad it helped :) I mostly play 2 players so those differences are always at the front of my mind!

Thanks Abdulla! I don't get asked to do them very often, but there's one coming for Dice Theme Park on Monday :)
Love this new format on How To Play games. Keep it up! 👍🏼
This is the best video you've ever made!
Thanks! Better than the Supermarket Sweep one?

Thank you!
Awesome Video my copy arrived today :)
Great video! Thank you.
Hi! I would like to know your thoughts...worth getting this game only to play it with 2P?
Does it work well with 2 players ? So on the fence with this one lol
Great teach!

Any reason you couldn't just use coins or poker chips to track money? I feel like that would be easier than moving that tracker around.

No idea how you manage to get more cards throughout the game!
You don't, the cards you get at the start are your lot - use them wisely :)
Great video but so hard to find this game. Hope it gets a reprint.
