CNN Headline News Closing Theme (1991-95)

- This is the closing and inspiring theme to CNN Headline News, back when they actually had news and were credible.
I used to watch Headline News all the time when I was a kid. HLN is now a joke, and CNN is fake news. POTUS Donald Trump said so.
This theme was written by Chuck Loeb for Score Productions. The original audio came from 80stvthemes.com. No copyright infringement intended.

Around the world in 30 minutes, this is Headline News
Yep I miss that damn.
A Whole Day's News, Every Half-Hour.
More stories coming up in the next half hour. Thanks for joining us.
I'm Don Harrison. Around the world in 30 minutes, this is CNN Headline News.
I worked there for 12 years in its heyday, and this was hands down my favorite theme music. The music bed was sometimes back timed to the hit the break bump, so very cool to hear it all. Thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can you please post more of this package. Loved this theme. Im a collector and would love to hear some of the other break music.
Who wants this in stereo?
27 years ago, I was only 14 years old, when this song came out on CNN Headline News(1991). Over the years, It's popped into my head , think of of this theme song. I was in Chicago, at that time. Today,at the age of 41 years old, I found this vault on you tube, in New York City and it sure as hell bring back the good old days of the early '90s. I was an 8th grade student at Charles P.Caldwell School in Chicago.
Today in Brooklyn , NY, USA on the east coast, I found it again. Thanks for playing this song and the memories of Old School Cable Television 🍳🥓🥞☕🇺🇸😎📺
RIP Chuck Loeb
I Agree
@@36Kourtney ..... Thank you very much.... Because in today's CNN Headline News World (2023).... from my standpoint of view... it's not the same anymore..... It's completely and totally obsolete in my taste.....
Other than that.... This 1991 theme says it all.... Thanks again Kourtney.
Damn memories good old 90s
If cnn could just back too this
No because thirty minutes of real news equals thirty hours of opinion, gender-swapping and debate that nobody is willing to sit through.
R.I.P. Bob Losure - July 2019
Vale Bob Losure.
Too bad Chuck Loeb passed away, and the theme song is in his memory.
The early 30-minute format, built upon KFWB-radio's similar format, was indeed industry-leading. I would read a book about the rise and fall of the format. Bias aside, the format made it easy to catch up on news without listening to banter and debate about opinions, PC-talk and stupid sh!t.
- This back when CNN Headline News was still good and truly on live 24/7, instead today we get pre- recorded crap!!!!!! Where is Ted Turner when you need him ??? Or does he agree with this garbage???
It's still live, and none of it is crap, unlike your idiotic comment, Turner? Well, he's trying to save the world, hopefully from your garage nonsense.
@@sillygoose635 - Do you have been to an A-Hole when you reply to my comment ? Am I not allowed to have my opinion or are you just an internet troll looking to start a fight ? ICNN Headline News wasn't live back then (early 90's). If you can't reply without being an A-Hole, the why don't you just refrain to begin with ? You probably won't, so I will block you now, so I don't have to see anymore of your stupid comments!
@@diapertommy Holy shit, what a wimp you are, scared of another guys opinion
@@diapertommy Errrrr, CNN Headline News WAS live in the early 90s, every half hour, around the clock. Ted Turner, if you were paying attention, is not with them anymore. He got fucked over in a bad deal with AOL TimeWarner.
The good ole days
first time when i saw this was when i was like 6 years old. I miss the music there are alot of things that i miss when i was a kid and im 35

80s TV Themes says this was composed by Bob Israel of Score Productions.
It was like that for several decades. However, modern Internet shows that Chuck Loeb composed this.
And also mistakenly said the theme debuted in 1993 with the new graphics package (and the discontinuation of the HN block logo).
The interesting thing is that when Satellite News Channel went dark (also with Score productions music), some of the underlying themes made their way to the Headline News package. Great music in any case.
Why did this channel go away? And don't tell me it's still there. Same in name only.
Headline News disappeared because of the 24-hour news cycle and the plethora of news channels which became opinion channels.
@@LogoMan7777 Yes, that's true. I was merely lamenting it's demise.
@@LogoMan7777 and a shift at focus at turner but okay
@@LogoMan7777 This is *NOT* CNN.
We watched this a lot while we were vacationing in Anaheim, CA back when I was 5 (partly because my mom was going to a FASEB convention).
Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology? What'd that have to do with Headline News?
Oh wait, so you guys watched Headline News a lot while you got stuck in the hotel room? Surely you could've watched Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon.
@@LogoMan7777 Yeah, but keep in mind I was only 5 then, so we didn't have much of a choice. On the other hand, we did go to Disneyland.
@@Ian16545 Oh, that's cool.
Um, HLN still has news and is still credible.
Who wants to listen to thirty hours of banter and opinion? Can you spell "efficiency"?

Truly miss the news music from the 80's & 90's. It was good stuff. I had a large collection from 76-95 and a fire at my moms house destroyed it all.. I wanna be a jingle composer so bad. I don't understand music to write and compose it.
